I want to know if energy drinks like Climax, Redbull, Fearless are really that bad. I was advised to reduce my alcohol intake last year April after a serious Ulcer incidence, so I decided to give up alcohol. I haven't taken alcohol since then, but occasionally, I take Climax or Redbull energy drink when I hang out with friends. So, yesterday, when I wanted to order for Climax, this guy seated next to me (a friend of a friend), started talking about how bad energy drinks were. He advised I take juice instead, or Malt. Mind you, this guy was taken raw liquor.

I'm very antisocial, and an introvert. Alcohol always set me in the right mood back in the day, but now that I don't take it, I really don't like how I am when everyone else around me is in high spirit, from taken alcohol, so I decided to take energy drinks once in a while...like just one a week. But I've been hearing about how bad they are. How bad are they really, if one takes just a can a week?

Everything is bad if taken in excess of its proper consumption.

You may consult your physician on how much is enough for you to consume in a day or week or month or so.

Being an introvert is not the same as being antisocial. The difference is usually in the kind of people around whom you're comfortable. If your mind or your nature doesn't carry any kind of social interaction, there's no need to "force it" with alcohol or energy drinks. The ideal thing to do is to find the optimal social environments you can thrive in without chemical enhancement.
Besides energy drinks are also not too good for peptic ulcer patients. There are a lot of mature non alcoholic drinks and wines to choose from

Mostly caffeine and sugar. I know that. I just wanted people to speak more on this. People drink coffee every day...some people drink juices with high sugar content every day...so what's the big deal with one can of redbull or climax once a week.

Do you know me more than I know myself? I said I am antisocial, and I am also an introvert. I didn't need all that lecture. I only shared those information so people will understand why I want to take a can of energy drink every now and then.

Bro understand your body metabolism stop judging by other people's experiences

I'm sure you saw where I said I take it once a week...what's more moderate than that. I'm just wondering why these people that drink alcohol every day are making it seem like energy drink is the most dangerous drink out there.

As much as possible, stay away from anything produced with chemical, including soft drink.

Africa does not have the medical infrastructure to support health care when the effects start. Please eat and drink natural things like vegetables, water, palm wine, fruits, homemade juice etc.

This topic of yours is educative.
I prefer taking energy drinks than taking soft drinks and it got to a point, I was having some health challenges that made me to Google search the effects of energy drinks. I got to realise that energy drinks aren't good for hypertensive patients and can also cause some heart related issues.
I've been trying to reduce the rate at which I've been taking energy drinks since then.
So to answer your question, I think excessive amount of energy drinks in the body system maybe disastrous

Alcohol, energy drink and most carbonated drink put the liver and other organ at stress and it takes days to take this toxic out. If you are suffering from any chronic disease you might be asked to stay from this drink. If u have any liver disease you will be asked to stay off this completely.
Another thing you should be concerned is salt, magi and fried stuff .... Excess of this are bad to the body .

Best oil to cook your meal is olive oil, avocado oil or coconut oil because they actually withstand high temperature and are not cancerous and good for the heart.

The best drink is water, and you should try and take a glass every hour even when u are not tasty. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables

If you want to stay healthy and leave long life you should ensure you watch what you eat now.... Liver, kidney, heart etc should not be put under durex by this nonsense junk we eat cos they slowly harm

Lol cheesy

Just see the response someone that asked a question is giving to someone that took time to answer his question undecided

How do you want that guy that responded to you to feel now?

If people avoid giving contributions how will the forum grow?

That depends on how you use it and the purpose you use it for because most people these days tend to abuse it now with their numerous mistake of a mixture.
Personally I don’t advise unhealthy drinking habits as it contains Large amounts of caffeine and regular intake may cause serious heart and blood vessel problems such as heart rhythm disturbances and increases in heart rate and blood pressure.
But because some people want to impress Jezebel, they mix it with concoctions and call it Magun when it becomes disastrous. Just Knack your own and move on biko, dem no dey carry first for who knack pass.

Energy drinks will really really mess you you up. I am a living witness. If you don't want to develop hypertension or have a sudden cardiac arrest in your youth, flee from energy drinks.

If you want to die from sudden aortic tears with no underlying cause apart from the fact that energy drink made your heart pump ten days worth of blood in 20 seconds. Drink on.

If you want your di.ck to die. Drink on.

If you want to be eternally restless, dependent upon a fix of energy drink at all times to be normal, drink on.

Truly, those drinks are evil, I am a survivor, flee.

I have been strongly advised against taking it but when I did I realized the advise was on point. If alcohol taker advises you against taking it, bro use your tongue count your teeth
