Alcohol, energy drink and most carbonated drink put the liver and other organ at stress and it takes days to take this toxic out. If you are suffering from any chronic disease you might be asked to stay from this drink. If u have any liver disease you will be asked to stay off this completely.
Another thing you should be concerned is salt, magi and fried stuff .... Excess of this are bad to the body .

Best oil to cook your meal is olive oil, avocado oil or coconut oil because they actually withstand high temperature and are not cancerous and good for the heart.

The best drink is water, and you should try and take a glass every hour even when u are not tasty. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables

If you want to stay healthy and leave long life you should ensure you watch what you eat now.... Liver, kidney, heart etc should not be put under durex by this nonsense junk we eat cos they slowly harm

Thanks.

At this point, I think it is addiction. When coding, I want to feel some sort of kick/high. Alcohol makes me sleep, I also don't think I want to dabble in pills or any recreational drugs.
I am able to work without Energy Drinks or Coffee, so I think it is addiction.

What would you say is the reason why you take fearless so regularly?

Naturally, energy drink is not for youth people, basically for elderly people.

kay29000:
I want to know if energy drinks like Climax, Redbull, Fearless are really that bad. I was advised to reduce my alcohol intake last year April after a serious Ulcer incidence, so I decided to give up alcohol. I haven't taken alcohol since then, but occasionally, I take Climax or Redbull energy drink when I hang out with friends. So, yesterday, when I wanted to order for Climax, this guy seated next to me (a friend of a friend), started talking about how bad energy drinks were. He advised I take juice instead, or Malt. Mind you, this guy was taken raw liquor.

I'm very antisocial, and an introvert. Alcohol always set me in the right mood back in the day, but now that I don't take it, I really don't like how I am when everyone else around me is in high spirit, from taken alcohol, so I decided to take energy drinks once in a while...like just one a week. But I've been hearing about how bad they are. How bad are they really, if one takes just a can a week?

Nope. I don't have a social life. My partner and I work remote, and I am introverted by nature. I don't particularly feel pressured to change that aspect.
I also think that you should not rely on substances to ease your apprehension of social interaction, it is in my opinion, that you start to feel that without the substance, you lack the courage to act. That's just my opinion though.

Do energy drinks make you more social? I have a problem with social interaction.

As an industrial chemist let me educate you on energy drinks.
Energy drinks are not really giving you energy, it is more unless a drug (moderate drug of caffeine) I'd say. They are stimulants.

What happens over time when you take energy drinks often is the leeching of your bones.
Caffeine in energy drinks will form free radical in your body which will leech your bones.

Mostly caffeine and sugar. I know that. I just wanted people to speak more on this. People drink coffee every day...some people drink juices with high sugar content every day...so what's the big deal with one can of redbull or climax once a week.

You already have an answer to your supposed question. Make yourself happy and stop disturbing us abeg

That sounds scary. Anyway, I don't think I have taken up to a dozen total in the 7 months I've been taking them.

By the way, do you miss alcohol?

Okay. I've heard a lot of people say fearless makes them stay up, but personally, I've never had that problem. Maybe cos I don't take energy drinks that much... Probably just once a week, or two times a month.
I took it once that day.In fact I had to goggle it at night . I found it that it could interfere with sleep because of excessive caffeine it contains.

The truth is that carbonated drinks, especially the strong ones you mentioned contain a type of gas/preservatives that is very bad for people with ulcer. When in gatherings, go for cream liquors, most cream liquors contain milk+alcohol. The milk mixed with alcohol in cream liquors wouldn't upset your ulcer. There are good red wines, juices, etc, just that you will spend more buying good drinks.

I get what you're saying though...how the idea of an energy drink is for older people who lack the energy of the youth.

The drinks are actually marketed toward young adults 20-40 or so, and even lots of teen-agers are drinking them too.
Had it been marketed toward the elderly, the manufacturers know that the drinks will quickly kill the elderly.
Not sure that your range of elderly in Nigeria is the same as mine.
In the U.S., you are considered elderly from 65 and up.

How do you want that guy that responded to you to feel now?

I'm sure you saw where I said I take it once a week...what's more moderate than that. I'm just wondering why these people that drink alcohol every day are making it seem like energy drink is the most dangerous drink out there.

If you keep attacking every one's response in this manner I wonder why you brought the thread in the first because definitely you are bound to recieve both positive and negative responses in every thread. Yet you keep attacking the raw truth, if you so have the answer why then did you disturb our peaceful sunday rest with your question?

Being an introvert is not the same as being antisocial. The difference is usually in the kind of people around whom you're comfortable. If your mind or your
nature doesn't carry any kind of social interaction, there's no need to "force it" with alcohol or energy drinks. The ideal thing to do is to find the optimal social environments you can thrive in without chemical enhancement.
Besides energy drinks are also not too good for peptic ulcer patients. There are a lot of mature non alcoholic drinks and wines to choose from

Can you list some of those matured non-alcoholic drinks and wines?

Excess intake of energy is bad, but a dozen in 7 month is fair.
I don't miss alcohol oo. I get scared to try it out after all ulcer did to me. I like my life.

Very well stated....
P.S. Your signature is perfect, I might add.

There are much deeper issues here, that neither an energy drink nor alcohol can cure.
No such thing as moderation...shouldn't even drink it one time. Coconut water, an alternative, would do wonders for him.
Energy drink ingredients (which he is getting some sort of a "high" off of--due to massive amounts of sugar & caffeine) will kill a person...just as alcohol will....slowly, but definitely surely.
"Red Bull" and "Monster" are the worst.

There are many in the market, from the popular Eva, Pure Haven to less common ones like Bosca, Chamdor, Don Morris, Macnelli (my favourite) etc

Energy drink is equally as bad if not worse than alcohol. This is not about ulcer or upset stomach. What they do to your liver should be of utmost concern. Liver cirrhosis? Hepatomegaly?
