I've also had issues making application related payments with my Nigerian card. If possible, you can find someone outside the country to help make the payments.

1) You dont really need materials. Just watch teacher Luke (DETready) youtube videos and make use of duolingo's free practice tests as much as you can. This helped me a lot and I scored 145 out of 160. As long as you are a native english speaker, you will be fine.

2) I paid through klasha. You can download the app from playstore, get verified and open a visa dollar account. Then, deposit ($1=751 naira presently) and pay.

No kill me with laugh abeg. But the school for kukuma give you full funding for the fact they gave you over 55 percent discount.

Anyway, one must click. In this journey, only one full funding is enough. We no dey greedy to collect multiple offers come block others from securing.

(UC Boulder, CSU Fort Collins, UC Denver, Colorado School of Mines, etc). This is unlike the East coast and Southern US with many applicants but better seasonal weather.

Generally, there are few blacks here and not many Nigerians come to the Mid-west due to the cold, and life style. Hence, I feel you stand a chance of being funded with a very good profile.

Although, I did apply to Howard (yet to hear back). Howard is extremely secretive about how they determine the financial aid they give out. They used to have clear cut scholarship criteria based on SAT/GPA that they followed, but that isn't the case anymore. All I've been able to learn from contacting them is that they are moving away from merit-based scholarships and towards need based financial aid.

I'm expecting 50-75% funding from them though.

Some of these schools' deadlines has passed (December 1st, December 15th and January 15th) while some others like CSU needs you to secure advisor first, submit official transcripts from your school registrar office before you can submit your application ( no waiver whatsoever).

Of course, securing an advisor guarantee admission for you Ceteris Paribus. Thanks for the heads-up though🙏.

Is that the only school you applied to? If you have other schools that you applied to and awaiting decision,i would suggest that you wait for the outcome, then you can make your decision but $47k COA is very high. I will leave it for the gurus in the house to advice you on the best way to go about it.
