The problem with you people that parrot this Lagos is paradise nonsense is that you are provincial either in thought and world view or you were brought up in one faraway province of yorubaland! I have met your kind of emergency intellectuals in Lagos,Port Harcourt and even in Indiana...we have the naive ile -oluji hoardes here in Indy.........forming intellect when they are mere naive jjcs....1

To my point, I am a complete Lagosian, grew up in Docemo, nnamdi Azikiwe and Tom Jones area of Isale Eko.............when to school around campos square, yaba ,Onikan and Unilag in Onike! I know lagos like the back of my hand! Attended church at Holy cross cathedral before moving to RCCG............I know Yorubas like the back of my hand! I know where they are good and I know when they are awful!

Lagos of today is not the Lagos of the 70s and 80s...............the ambience of Lagos is certainly not in the league of accra,Daresalaam ,nairobi etc...What I am saying is that Lagos has to improve at a much faster rate...instead of competing with marginalised and badly run eastern cities,Lagos should be extracted from Tinubu and mc oluomo types and run by young and vibrant Yoruba elites.................. Thank God for Sanwa olu .......who in my view is underated some what........I like the man's vision !

mocking ndigbo for complaning of obvious marginalisation is very insensitive...............and it will only stunt the growth of lagos in the end!
I do not recall saying Lagos is paradise
I do not believe that and so couldn't have said so
Do you have a point beyond your hatred and bad belle
You are not a Lagosian ,Chibuzor so stop kidding yourself
Have you passed a craniometry test?

Lagos is a state with several township which one are you comparing to Accra?

A true Lagosian knows the difference between the state and city called Lagos

What marginalization? By whom? And what has it got to do with the topic here?

Ozuo, the oil boom from when Nigeria discovered oil all through the 70s to the 80s and early 90s oil was 100% controlled by the federal government and guess where the capital of that same federal government was? Lagos! Even after democracy came in 1999, has the federal grip on oil loosened? They only give 13% to the states. You are a bufoon if you think your hatred for a particular tribe will make the entire country go to blazes. That hate will choke you and all ethnic
bigots.

It's Tinubu Lagos, you can kindly find the next lagoon if that makes you unstable... šŸ¤·
Less than 20% of lagos state was Nigeria capital, how on earth did oil boom developed Lagos?

Why can't the oil boom develop Delta, Akwa ibom, Rivers and southeastern states?

Your envy means nothing, Tinubu lagos will always be above you...

Will you stop posting utter rubbish!

Mostā€¦if not all large corporate entities like banks, and multinational coys like construction and oil/gas related industries have their headquarters either in Lagos or Abuja! The political-economy Nigeria has been practicing since the late 60s coupled with the avarice and bigotry of some Fulani and Yoruba actors in governance led to this!

If youā€™re so cocksure of the ā€˜superiorityā€™ of your ethnic group over others and your ability to survive on your own, then support those calling for the dissolution of this corrupt and warped ā€˜federationā€™ let all ethnicities and regions go and USE THEIR OWN HUMAN AND NATURAL RESOURCES TO DEVELOP AT THEIR OWN PACE! Donā€™t hide behind ā€˜one Nigeriaā€™ and be feeling all ā€˜superiorā€™ and funky while wickedly ganging up to hold down those you see as the ā€˜enemyā€™ā€¦.the ā€˜hated competitionā€™!

Children of nowadays. You no know for history say na your Ojukwu prevented referendum from being added to the Constitution because the igbos were the dominant people then in those days and did not want anybody from seceding that time. Now it has boomeranged on you people grin

And for your information, which right thinking person will establish headquarters of companies in an erosion-ravaged region

Even you, if you never commot go Lagos, i am sure e dey your flat skull šŸ’€ to commot one day to go sell galla for traffic sad

Lagos I must say has been the pride of d Southwest, cus of d commerce it holds, been a formal capital, n having seaports ,it being luckily close to d sea, this has helped Lagos develop faster, than other states in Nigeria, but to attribute these to one man , is scam n lies, if so y hasn't other southwestern states who has bn under his thumb developed as much as Lagos, Osun state, Ogun, Kwara, Ekiti states, all these states can't boast of the magic touch of Tinubu, that tells u that Lagos is moving at this pace due to it being a commercial hub even before Tinubu thought he il become the governor of the State.

when was Tinubu the governor of Ogun state?

There's no marginalization anywhere. Every thing each state deserves is written in the laws. Each state is responsible for her revenue and expenditures. The duty of the federal government is levy taxes, regulate commerce, establish a uniform law of naturalization, establish federal courts subordinate to the Supreme Court, establish and maintain a military, and declare war, the state government are autonomous just like the USA. The state government of Lagos under Tinubu founded the Lekki FTZ that birthed the Lekki seaport , the power is in the hands of your state governors.

Lagos has to influence Nigeria. I believe everyone wants their most successful kids to carry his siblings along . Its no wonder most Nigerians most preferred destination within the country is Lagos.
Lagos is on a level of it's own in our country hence the heavy rural urban migration , we have to colonize ourselves again, the bourgeoisie have to colonize the proletariat, likewise the urban have to colonize the rural ,for example Ibom deep seaports can be completed in record time if only the state government met a good framework and invited investors like Lagos did . The revolution we need .
Lagos has to colonize Nigeria, Lagos is best fitted for this task coz its the most multi ethnic, democratic, civilized , melting point of Nigeria culture and arts, let's give it up for the city boy ,a fine accountant and administrator , if we truly want to see growth if not we dey play .
