That's most likely an iPhone 10. For one, she is definitely going to run into battery issues. It's also highly likely that it's a 64GB or at best a 128GB. Apps have become very bloated these days and she would struggle to install as many apps as she'd like to. Finally, since it's most likely a pre-owned phone, the screen, case and most likely the camera are not OEM meaning they are very likely to fail.

"Better" is relative. But my advise would be to get something 2 models behind the most recent model at the least
