Jan - Aug 2022 long term visa applicants who are still waiting for their outcome - Note that SA load shedding has been seriously heightened lately so, know that DHA’s working hours would be severely affected.

Here’s a link on the power issue in SA: https://businesstech.co.za/news/energy/660929/load-shedding-pushed-to-stage-5-in-south-africa-heres-the-schedule/amp/

Side note for VFS evisa applicants: If the adjudication of VFS evisa is being done in Pretoria (not sure if it is), the load shedding issue will likely have a huge effect on the processing time. Let’s hope that it’s the embassy that’s handling the review.

The wait is already so frustrating... This is the 8month since, I filed my application. Just tired of the system and now another excuse... Please, how can I withdraw my passport.

In Abuja too they are experiencing load shedding ? Do you know the funniest thing, till today they are still collecting more and more applications, and they are telling them to write that they are aware the application will take longer than their imaginations. If you are overwhelmed with applications, you stop taking applications and work on the one you have and clear it. I feel this thing is planned and intentional for Nigerians. Other countries get theirs in Days, not even weeks.

I’d advise you Write to the minister of DHA first via mail. China’s Visa that is the hardest to get on this earth and also have the highest application rate for visa will never delay it. You’d know you decision within 3-4days worse case

Is there a platform where one can call them out. Are they on social media?, I’m genuinely tired of these wait, it’s frustrating. If anyone knows the ambassador of Nigeria to SA, please drop the name, this is rubbish . As it is now, if you don’t know someone at the consulate office, embassy or VFS , you are on a long thing.

https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/zaf/

https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/

They are both legit.

The first is the main VFS page for South African visa application in Nigeria. If you want to apply the traditional way/walk-in/sticker visa, use this site.

The second is the VFS page for SA electronic visa applications only.

Listen up everyone, the guys running this website: https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/ are scammers. Ensure not to fall their victim. the likes of tryharder and Myst77 are just plain scammers. This is why you have not received any information update cos you applied for the SA evisa using their website - https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/. They will ask to send an email to info.evisasa@vfsglobal.com but be rest assured that no response will come forth. Naturally, you will then find your way after being tired and frustrated.

Likely, whom ever opened this thread meant a goodwill to help people find their feet but alas, if there is a Judas or a Lucifer in the most holy places, how much more a thread on Nairaland.

For people who have fallen victim, its so sad that despite the situation in the country, some people still derive joy to rip innocent Nigerians off their hard earned money through any means possible.

I believe these guys mentioned above especially Myst77 have scammed a lot of unsuspecting people. His profile just shows that he registered 11th January 2023 and has not created any topic but actively campaigned and encouraged people to register for SA e-visa using https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/

I plead with the rest of us to try and be our brothers keepers and call out scammers anytime we discover them and I as well beckon on Nairaland to block their accounts immediately to avoid more victims.

WHY THIS POST?

I applied for the SA e-visa through the much advertised website - https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/. See below the confirmation of payment and successful submission since 3 days till now, i have not received any email on my payment and confirmation of my submission. Worst of is that I can't log back in on the website AND 87USD IS GONE.

That amount multiplied by 100 and then 1000...etc. From honest and unsuspecting Nigerians.

I know many people are already a victim of this but keeping quiet has made more people fall victim. I will not keep quiet on this so that no other person becomes a victim.

Except Seun is just concerned about his paycheck, the integrity of this site and diligence of the moderators could be heading for shambles!!

Wow - this is a very serious accusation which I do not take too kindly. You can easily confirm the authenticity of the website by contacting VFS, you know? I challenge you right now to call VFS or send VFS an email to confirm the authenticity of the website.

I am only here to help as I am also a visa applicant like most people here. It helps to help one another in this difficult time particularly when there is so much worry around the processing time of SA visas.

It is also obvious that you failed to read past posts on this platform because if you did, you would have seen a post from someone also indicating that the website is false which made some other member to take the initiative to ask VFS directly and even posted VFS’s response on this platform. I can easily look for that response but for someone like you, it’s not worth it. I want you to see what a big mistake you’ve made by accusing me of being a scammer.

Not bothered because the truth is clear for all to verify. Ignorance is not an excuse when you can easily do good research.

I’m not paid to help anyone here, I do it selflessly. You can report to whomever, the outcome of your report will eventually make you appear to be the fool in this scenario.

I hope you come back to apologise when you realize your mistake but if you don’t, God bless you.

So, here is my confirmation of the e-visa by VFS today.

This is the post that someone shared from VFS confirming the e visa site due to a false accusation made by another member. If you follow the post (by clicking on the handle), you’ll see the back and forth arguments among them as well.

I’ve shared this for the sake of others who may be panicking (not that I owe them any explanation, though lol). The lesson here is to verify info - don’t just rely on Nairaland posts or your own assumptions just because of a challenge that you encountered.

I am not an embassy officer but I’m a frequent traveller and I don’t need to disclose my personal information to prove that my information is authentic. The onus is on the reader to VERIFY.

If you make a mistake, blame yourself not the person who fed you with info on a social media platform. It’s more annoying when you blame an innocent person who is trying to do good.

You yourself are the biggest scam because if you know the situation and the errors on E-DHA portal you won’t advise people to go there. I know people who used E-Vfs E visa from SA to travel and returned without stress, your stupid self is meant to confirm from VFS if they issue e-visas or not before you go and tag other people scams. Guys ask VFS Global if you are in doubt. Don’t let these welf99 trick you to go and apply on E-DHA. E-DHA once your date has passed they will refuse you visa.

Ask VFS Global first before you call people scam.

This is a very silly accusation. I just called the VFS office in Lagos just to reconfirm and they said the VFS e visa website is genuine. There are two different types of e visa, the one by DHA and the VFS e visa which they just started recently. These people entered into a contract with VFS to help them with visa applications from Nigeria.
Nigerians will not read but rather blame others for their misfortune. I have my family living in SA and I heard about the VFS e visa from them first and then my sister before I applied myself.
