Good Morning

I was refused last week based on:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.

I really need someone to review this for me. What do you suggest I do ?

Hi Nairalanders!
Good News to many who had refusals and want to apply for GCMS notes but are having some issues.

I applied FREE OF CHARGE on the 12th of December 2022 and my notes dropped TODAY, 4th February 2023 ( a month and three weeks). I actually did searches online and got the ATIP-AIPRP online request on the Canadian government website. It has two types of request: Access to Information Act and Privacy Act.
Access to Information Act costs $5CAD; but PRIVACY ACT is FREE. Go through Privacy Act and order your GCMS notes for free!
This is the link to the website:

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

Wishing everyone all the best!

*My next post will be about my refusal and what my GCMS notes say. Please, help in contributing so I can successfully fire back. Thank you all!

It's nice to be here again. Happy New Year to Everyone! I'm rooting for everyone and wishing you all a promising and fruitful year in 2023.

@jaydave, I'll attempt your question, your spouse can have the entire funds in his bank account. The amount involved will be contingent on the family size. Is he applying alone? And/or How many kids do you've?

Applying alone : he should show 10M in his account.

Applying with kids: 16M and above.

Thanks for the response
He’s my friend and his wife is studying in Canada presently . And yes he’s applying alone .
So you mean he can have the fund in his account alone , it’s not compulsory his wife also acts as co sponsor ?

Nice one
Frankrobbn1:

Sorry about the demise of your agent. The process of getting your details is quite very simple and straightforward. Do you still have a copy of the biometrics instructions letter the agent gave to you when you went for your biometrics enrolment? If yes, you should see your UCI number and application number on the top right and left sides of the letter. Copy those figures and go straight to create a GC Key account. After the creation of your account, there will be an option for you to "LINK AN EXISTING APPLICATION TO YOUR ACCOUNT". Once you're able to provide the details about yourself and the UCI Number & App No, the application will be successfully linked and taken over by you!

Follow these steps as I have described and thank me later ☺️. Best wishes.

Bankowner:

1. Hope for HND holder? Yes. Apply to a College for a Post graduate certificate or diploma program. I came in with HND as well.
2. Age limit? No. As long as you're able to package your application well.
3. Study gap? Yes & No. Depends on the visa officer reviewing your application. Mine was NO despite not having any additional degree in over 5
years.
pls can you mail me femiakeju81@gmail.com

Hello...
Has anyone filled out Form A in recent times?

I tried doing so but couldn't find Canada on the list of countries. (Only shows Afghanistan and stops at Bermuda)??

I've tried different browsers/devices with no difference.

Hopefully someone has answers that could help before I lose my mind embarassed
I have not filled recently but I use the portal for PTA a lot; just type out Canada in the place where the funny drop down comes up.

For the sake of clarity, Conestoga College doesn't offer a Master's program. Please check your acceptance letter, what was given to you is a graduate certificate program.

Pertaining to your question about using your maternal uncle as your sponsor when you're legally married, your chances are quite slim given the fact that your uncle has his family and other responsibilities to cater for. In order for your application to scale through easily, I would suggest you apply alone by being self-sponsored or your hubby should be your sponsor.

There is no standard practice as to when an application will be concluded after an eligibility review has been initiated by the responsible immigration officer at the consul. You can only be positive and wait for a favourable decision.

1. University of Regina accepts only 500CAD tuition deposit

2. University of Winnipeg doesn't require tuition deposit

3. Memorial University in some cases doesn't require tuition deposit.

You can use Google to guide you further in this regard.

Took two 2days for the debit and when the money dropped to the school account. Blackmarket!
I don’t understand, you mean you were debited at CBN rate but was shortchanged by using black market rate to credit your school? Please which bank? You should also write CBN on this matter.

There are two different portals through which you can submit your study permit application.

1. The first and well-known portal is the GC Key. Here is the link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

2. The second is the new portal. Here is the link: https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en

Any of the two links works perfectly. However, none of these portals can influence the processing times of your application. Personally, I would suggest using the old portal for it gives room for bulky documents.

Yes, he can have the entire funds in his bank account. Its never compulsory for the wife to show funds in her bank account considering that she's a student in Canada.
