And who said they have no money
And who said they have enough money? I have a banker friend who broke it down for me and it's really scary! CBN mopped up the old notes but they are giving them new notes less than 10% of what their customers need. Tell me how they can avoid getting into trouble with customers!

My regular fruit seller at the market already has a POS. A month ago, he did not have it.

At the end, cashless is the way forward. We have the tech.

We over talk abut cashless system in Nigeria.

In advanced countries, both cash and digital form of payment exist side by side.

The citizen are given the option to chose what is best for them.

Why is the federal government forcing cashless policy down our throat.

In the United Kingdom that is Britain they still have pound and the shillings existing side by side with the electronic method of payment.

Nigerians are already adjusting to cashless policies.. transfers are now the order of the day. The other day a POS merchant called me if I needed cash at normal rate.. grin grin... it seems people have dumped them and their arbitrary charges..

Buhari/emefiele should stand strong... Nigerians are behind them on this monetary policy.
Why use your experience to judge and conclude that Nigerians are adjusting?πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•

What of if you transfer like 2 or three times and bank debited you without crediting the other end.

It is easier said than done, go to banks and see the queue of complainants.
I transferred money to a supplier since 4am, they have not received the alert, I was able to collect the goods because of goodwill, what do you will happen if I am unknown customer.

Hmmmm.....There is a business opportunity there... "Trader merger"... merge various small shops and outfits they credit trader merger POS with credit records, at the close of work, monies are disbursed to various accounts while you retain a small amount of charges (maybe 2%) because it would be lump sum.

Many bankers that have access to this cash trade with it. How many influencial and extremely wealthy people do you see on queues inside or outside the banks?

CBN reported a single bank with over 200 million being kept with disbursement

The mentality of some trader is like I want to see alert first before releasing the goods.

This your idea is a good one but a proper orientation and guarantee is needed for its workability.

The end sars movement heralded Swat even though it was just a name change cos Nigerians took laws into their hands and fought for themselves. Fight first, dialogue later..
That's how it works here.

The POS would definitely print receipts.. customers can be asked to make transfer to card holders if it's not a direct bank.

Some big shops are already equipped with bank pos machine, but current situation is not allowing them to work optimally as in work is not flowing properly as it supposed to be. There are lot of transactions that are hanging presently because the banks are fully equipped for that transaction volume at this present cashless policy, and it has been causing crisis here and there.

Most of those big shops usually use transfers or POS even before the policy.. the network would definitely be overloaded due surge in users, overtime it would become better.. had same issue previously, now its seamless..

Hence, the need for CBN not to rush the implementation of this policy which has been on ground for so many years now but mopping up of funds should through naira redesign should have been a gradual process and not 90 days which is very short in a Nigerian set up where infrastructure is still at low ebb.

They're to blame too, because they've selling the new notes to some bigwigs, and at the end get some percentage from it, making it hard for the ordinary man to have access to the new notes.

Didn't you see the fcmb or fidelity bank manager that was arrested by efcc??

Good evening lovely Nairalanders....I am a student who has been working to sponsor myself for a while. I have been doing excellently in school despite the limited time I have had for my studies. Please I need your help. My school tuition fees and other departmental fee is currently due. In fact, this is the late registration period. Though, I have been able to raise half of the tuition, I have not been able to pay the full payment and we can not pay on instalment basis. Please I don't want to lose a year of studies. I need #90000 to balance up the payment and pay my tuition. Please help me no amount is too small. Please help me and may God bless you.
