If something is not wrong with you, you will not be pricing a car that can be fixed with 450k and sold for 3.5m at N900,000.

Even the asking price of 1.3m clearly tells anyone with half a brain to run as far away as possible

Go and pay 900,000. We will be here to read your lamentations and watch your juicy tears.

Automatic gear

Funny enough just yesterday, a friend of mine sent me a direct tokumbo 04 Corolla that's accidented. However, every other thing works perfectly fine. Engine, transmission and AC are in perfect condition. Repairing the accidented parts and oven baking won't exceed #450,000. Owner wants to sell for #1•3 million. If anyone here is interested in the vehicle, let me know. Vehicle is at Apapa tin can. Customs paper are intact. If you want owners no, I can give it to anyone interested in the vehicle
let's talk....

Guy people buy cars for cheap sometimes based on circumstances.
There was this guy that import cars for people, he imported two cars one Toyota Yaris (hatchback) and another expensive car. But the expensive car got bashed during transit...he can't deliver the car like that. He sold the Yaris for 600k to someone I know, just to gather money quickly repair the car. But this was years ago.

When you have spare time, visit EFCC page on twitter and read through. Times are hard and scams are at an all time high.

This your belief that things can sometimes be cheap is exactly what scammers prey on.

Do you have any idea how much it costs to clear a corolla? It's N950,000. Let's even say he stole the vehicle in the US, how will someone pay N950,000 to clear a corolla, ship it N840,000 and now sell it to you at 1.3m when he can fix it with 450k and sell at 3.5m. This is a vehicle that is said to have good engine, good AC, good transmission e.t.c Does any of this make any sense to you?

Do you honestly think that if this vehicle was indeed as stated it would not have been sold the same day the owner starts thinking of selling it?

I am telling you with a 100% certainty that there is a problem somewhere with that vehicle.

If you still think circumstances is behind this one , go ahead and pay for it. It's your money afterall.

Guy, relax, you have no information/condition of the car, you're just jumping into conclusions.

The said car might have been cleared long time ago before the hike on import duties.

The damage incurred might exceed that 450k he assumed, nobody knows the condition

And this is just online bid which is subjected to change in physical

And lastly, someone's bid or someone falling for scammer has no concern with you, drink water and mind your business...

If at all you wanna advise someone, there's an approach for it, you can advise to physically transact before any payment or watch out for any suspicious move....

You just reaffirmed by earlier submission that you're a mugu.

The new duty was implemented in July/August of 2022.

How can a Corolla of all cars have been bought before then and has not been sold? Do you even think before you post?

Go and buy it and stop disturbing my mentions. Can't be the first time someone as dull as you are has been scammed.

Like I said, we will be here to read your lamentations.

But why are you defending this car more than the owner.
Itsrm is right...that car can never be 1.3m. if it is what he claims. If it was, it will be sold at Tincan there or in d terminal it was offloaded from d container. Not to u on Nairaland.
Read what poster posted and u will see that some of your lines of defence doesn't hold in this case; like car being cleared long time ago and has sitted at home for months. According to poster, he said his friend just sent d car and car is still in Apapa Tincan.

Before u miss understood Itsrm, his first post was a warning to u to be wary of this kind of offers.

Who come be *una* like this... no sugarcoating, this time is not really the best time for almost every business. The queue system is really affecting everything. I was in a big hotel today and they was a complain on how dull business has been lately. The number of people that could have withdraw money and go about their normal business using ehailling as means of transportation are on queue. The japians obviously will take a toll on business with time.

You people really mess this economy up.

These guys have never met a rider that will pretend to understand only to send 2k at the end of the trip.

You will try to fight but don't have any evidence to back it up since your app documents 2k while your stewpid mouth negotiated a higher fare price.

It took GRACE yesterday for me to be able to complete my 8th trip on Bolt to win their bonus.

Bolt that used to give request back to back. God help you if you set destination trip, you will wait forever.

I just had to use any of the other apps to make up for the ride scarcity. There's general decline in movement around the city but Bolt seems to take the hit the most.
