These gurus can guide you too.

Marketing is good. If you take your time to read backwards, you will see a lot of schools people are getting admission to.
Also watch YouTube videos on schools and colleges in Canada and you will get more information.

Remember that a one year program will give a one year Post graduate work permit which most times, the one is short to process permit residency and a 2 years program gives you 3 years PGWP.
Research more and read more on nairaland. You won't miss road. You may not need an agent if you do more research.

Sorry to learn of the refusal.

You will need to reapply again i.e start a new application. You can upload same documents and a new SOP if thats what you only want to change.
Please ensure you upload an updated POF.

University of Waterloo is one of the top universities in Canada, arguably among the top 10. All top universities in Canada are very competitive, especially for graduate studies. What determine your chances are combination of the following:

1. Bachelor's grade, particularly your GPA for the last two years;
2. Research proposal- relevance to scholarship objectives/research projects of the institution
3. Availability of supervisor, if your Msc is thesis based;
4. Number of applicants for the academic year
5. Quality of your recommendation letters

These are by no means conclusive, but move you towards acceptance.

Ah finally someone like me😂
I also finished waec last year and I applied to TRU, UManitoba, UNB and OntarioTech. The best option for easy application was definitely UNB. Any questions you have for them, they answer within a few hours and in my case that I had to defer, they were so helpful. It is also one of the cheapest schools to attend for my program. You can also dm if you need more help with applying and I can tell you what I did.
Happy Applications!

I have HND in computer science and I presently work as aircraft firefighter (Pana Pana is going to Canada). I could remember coming here to seek for advice on my best bet and @lekibobo, @makano, @justmellow and @omiinii all advised that I stand a better chance going with anything related to my job. Lekibobo specifically mentioned OHSW at Conestoga. That was just all I needed to fire the shot.

I paid for my tuition deposit of 1500 cad same day I got the LOA using Aboki Dollar and tidied all my documents accordingly.

Let me mention that I did not include Police character certificate, land documents or other property documents because I do not have any of those things. It is true that 2 applications cannot be the same, sometimes too much of documents even can get Visa Officers confused. The above listed documents were all I submitted. It is good to read people's TL to be encouraged but some TL will get you intimidated and confused. My application was a self- sponsored. And all I submitted as POF was 10.4m

I am a first time applicant and I have never traveled out of Nigeria before. I never enter plane before self despite the fact that I work at the airport until last month that I went for medical and biometric. Travel history is not a criteria.

The total of my tuition for the 1 year is about 20,000 cad + 10,000 cad living expenses+ 3000 cad miscellaneous.

How I addressed POF.

My salary is around 100k. I knew for sure that it is too little to present as monthly earnings. what I did was to use all the 1.7m I had in 2021 to buy Toyota Corolla. I planned running bolt with it for a good 1 year before submitting my application. I explained that I drive my car on bolt platform on part-time basis anytime am off duty. Each month I make sure i make over 100k net profit from bolt. I submitted 12 months MBS to show that I truly make such money from bolt. I collected a loan of 8m from a co-op society, collected 2m from a friend because I knew the 8m won't be enough to show as POF. I wrote in the LOE that this my friend was a long time friend (classmate) which was true. He had sent money to me (vice versa) severally in 2022. I also showed pictures of us together in 3 different occasions (in school,at my engagement and at a function) and also included his international passport. Someone in Canada even advised that I should not include him that nobody gives anyone such money in Canada, that even parents don't give their children money. But I had no other story to cook because the money had already been sent to my account. I also made sure I paid 1m into my spouse account to augment her salary for her and the children's upkeep so the VO will believe that nobody go press my neck for money in Canada. In my LOE, I also mentioned that while I would be away, there is an arrangement on ground to employ a driver that will drive my car on a FULL TIME basis with weekly remittance of #30,000 to my account and to be managed by my spouse. The weekly 30k + my monthly salary+ other annual benefits from my employer resulted to additional 3m+ (about 10k cad)

How I addressed hometie

Apart from the fact that my family (spouse and children) and job are strong home tie. I became a volunteer with Red cross society of Nigeria just for the purpose of ID card and pictures, and I got that. I also collected a letter from my church. You can buy a pet (🐶, 🐱, 🦁, chicken 🐔) and add it to yours as hometie in your application. Include their vetinary cards and other documents.

Please note, keep your application as simple as possible, no allow NL use TL press your neck. Submit your application as early as possible so you can have peace of mind, and plan your departure well. All the experience I have today was gotten from here because I have been following since 2020. I also handled a friend's application last year. Submitted application Aug 16, 2022 and PPr Dec 26, 2022.... In all one cannot rule out the importance of prayers. I read here where people engage in different and lengthy spiritual practices. I also prayed and fasted for just 3 days and God got involved.

Submit your pending applications now......

I pray that God will come through for as much as many applications this year, especially those ones that that overdue/overstayed for a decision.

I'm available to answer questions hear....if you come to my TL for private engagement or documents, na billing ooooo.... Looking for Raba noww

Congratulations boss.

Please what is the affidavit of return all about? Am hearing that for the first time

Hello and good evening everyone. My question is whether to mention the initial payment I made using Flywire in my SOP because I feel if I do the VO might use that to calculate my entire amount and I won't have up to $10,000 CAD for my POF. I have an admission and I am required to pay the first deposit ASAP so I won't be able to use FORM A.

Hi, if the person's documents and POF is ready then go ahead. The earlier the better. It will give you ample time to prepare.

Good day everyone I’m a silent reader please I need you guys advise seriously. I received a medical request from Ircc some days ago but checking on the letter my gender was stated as Female instead of Male, I never knew the error was from my first application my agent did for me back 2019, and I never took note of this cos then I didn’t even know much about Canada application then it was wen I was now going through the application portal I came across the error. That’s when I made decisions not to do with any agent again. So I decided to do my study application myself .In this my new application I indicated Male and still my gender was picked as Female. But have raised a webform concerning the error and have also sent an email regarding that and also on Thursday that I went for medical they also noted it and inform them about the gender error. It’s really giving me a big concern. Does that webform and mail I sent will sort the problems. Please your advice is welcome

I work with a corporate organization. I have my staff dashboard where all my benefits and the breakdown of my slry is written out. Although I have gotten my 6 months payslips for documentation, I was thinking of also screenshoting and adding that dashboard space to also show this. Abi is there any need?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Shayo5: 8:12pm On Feb 11, 2023
hi, I showed my salary account which did not have much( i sent it to match my payslips), my other account had 3M then my husbands account had about 8M.

it was just study permit application without SOWP

try to calculate your school fees + living expenses+ flight/miscelleneous expenses in CAD that should give your a rough estimate of what you should present , if you can add a little more to let the VO know you will be comfortable even if you do not get a job.

Some people have presented POF with a lot of money and still get denied, I was denied the first time on the basis of insufficient funds and i reapplied with the same accounts and it was eventually approved. I only focused on the proof of funds part of my SOP, gave a more detailed breakdown of the funds available and the source, added supporting letter from my husband proof of ID and employment.

Also add a list of the documents your are uploading for each section, it lets the VO know what he/she is looking at
emmyoddy:

Congratulations

How much did you show as your balance in your own account?

And your sponsor's account?

Is it only study permit approval or with SOWP?

We are learning please.
Thanks
