He can actually get a date without his I_20. Check page 210_219 of this thread. Please accept the offer. You can always reject an offer when you dream school comes but an offer may not wait for long.
Tallvictor23:

It’s not possible, you need the sevis number on ur i20 for visa processing. You have to wait till after you’ve gotten your i20 .

Hello everyone!

I recently got admit for PhD at a US university with assistantship. But I'm still expecting other decisions. So I don't wanna be hasty in accepting the first offer. However considering the struggle to get dates and all, I would like to secure an interview date. Someone hinted me it's possible to do that without an i20 yet. Kindly point me in the right direction on how to do this, if it's possible at all.

Thank you.
Accept the offer first. Request for I20 and start looking for date. If a better offer shows up, you will cross the bridge then. The school you think is so sure for admission might 'shenk' you. So hold the first offer well for now.

Are you looking for funding with all these exceptions or you will pay from your pocket for school fees?. Moreover, computer science MS with no GRE? There are schools anyway for your criteria, try use usnews.com to search extensively.

If you can afford this, paying application fee of 70~100 dollars should not be a problem to you Sir.

Other requirements you want waiver on is understandable since time is off essence in this Fall semester application to you. Just look out for schools with application fee, and shoot your shot.

What is the total amount in your I-20? $10k isnt enough.. so start making GRE plans. Did u graduate with 1st class?

Friends, family, strangers, church and mosque people. Sell your possession like land/property.. or sign IOU with a potential creditor , if u plan yourself very well and stay frugal, you can pay it off within a year.
Have you gotten ur visa?
Thank you.
I haven't gotten my Visa. I just got admission last week.

Okay.
CGPA: 4.77/5
No GRE, no TOEFL.
No publication.
Strong LORs and SOP.
4 years teaching experience as GA and AL.
Some awards and scholarships.

That's pretty much it.

Guyys I applied to only one school, what’s the best answer if the VO asks why ?. The truth is the cost of application was too much at the time, I had to focus on one school.

-The school is best suited for your program with hands-on teaching/learning approach.
- Your mentor/advisers are well versed and published in their field.
- Low student to faculty ratio
- High on-time graduation rate.
NB: make sure you're loaded or funded $$

Tough luck. If you’re loaded financially, you can find schools that will accept you… but if you’re asking for financial assistance, you cant be choosy… you have to take some tests like GRE to establish some form of intellectual credibility

I have no idea of this course though most schools GPA requirement seems to fall within 2.5 - 3.0 minimum requirement.

Just do massive search online. Sample on Google, type universities offering cybersecurity or computer science in USA

Frm my knowledge, No they don’t before the interview date. However, after approval sometimes they do their checks, that’s were you see “administrative processing “.

If they dont, why do they require your social media handle during application?
