So I only have seen like three urhobo people in my life and they are like the worst humans I have ever seen.

One I don’t know personally but from his online activities the whole internet dislike him and he’s (Mr Jollof) on Instagram.
This man is shameless, two faced and cunning. He follows the highest bidder and has no loyalty. He’s always decamping from political parties as long as the opposition shares a bigger sum of money for him. Same with his friendship with celebrities, the day you don’t dash him money he will come out to publicly disgrace you, look how he gum body wizkid but because that one is a street Surulere boy and cannot be manipulated he quickly dragged him online and tried to tarnish his image.

Now in real life I know two other urhobo people and one is a scam artist who tries to be your friend only to manipulate and use you. He tried it with me but as a street boy I changed it for him now he’s ran to my other neighbor and he successfully destroyed the love between two brothers and now made the rich one to love him more than his own brother. This guy is such a gamer he will praise you for the first few months and then try to have access to your personal live and try to use you and if you rebuff him he makes you his enemy.

Third one is the worst, this one is my house care taker, this guy will disappoint you more than satan. He will lie, manipulate you and even more.
He’s the most unreliable person I have ever met. He says what he never does. He can tell you to meet him in Lagos and once you reach Lagos he will block you. That’s his type of person, you see him when you see him, his words mean nothing. This man was sent money to fix our house borehole and he almost ran with the money, we started begging him , almost two weeks before he sent the money to the plumber. This is money that we paid out of our sweats.

My experience with urhobo people is traumatic but is this why they say “urhobo wayo”

Are they all this way? I mean urhobo people??

The problem isn't Urhobo people. The problem is you.

When you feel all members of a certain ethnic group or race behave in a certain way, it is not only unrealistic but can lead to hate and bloodshed.

Do all Igbo people like money? Are all stinking rich? The vast majority are struggling like the rest of us. Are all Nigerians in the UK criminals? No.

Hitler felt all Jews were vermin and he slaughtered over 6m of them. The Northerners slaughtered Igbos in the pogrom of 1966 when they blamed all Igbos for the unjustified killing of Saudauna by the coupist. Kaduna Izeogwu who led the coup was even Delta Igbo and many will deny being real Igbos but that they descended from Benin, like the Ikwerres.

When the federal troops got to Asaba, Nzeogwu's hometown, they killed hundreds, if not thousands of innocent men. This was because Nzeogwu was their brother.

Just take each person as they come. My younger brother who leaves in Wales is having serious problems in his home. His MIL who is from Guinea Bissau hates Nigerians, and that hatred has been extended to my brother.

Despite the fact his wife was already a single mother of a child when they got married, she seems hellbent on destroying their marriage. Her daughter now has a son with my brother but that has not seemed to change things. Were my brother to get a divorce, his ex would be a single mother of two. This does not bother his MIL. Generally, Gambians and the people of Guinea Bissau distrusts Nigerians but are all of them bad. His MIL views is mostly influenced by Nollywood which paints many as wicked.

That is simply what prejudice causes. That was why Jesus gave the story of the 'Good Samaritan'. The Jews and the Samaritans disliked each other.

You have probably encountered far more Urhobo people than you can imagine. The Ibru family are known to be quite honest when it comes to business activity. Alfred Rilwane who my father personally knew was also a clean businessman. A very good friend of mine Ochuko is Urhobo. You encounter them far more often than you realise.

For a long time myself, all I heard about Tiv people was terrible. If you saw a snake and you saw a Tiv, first kill the Tiv and then the snake.

Nevertheless, I kept an open mind. Tiv people rarely seem to leave the Middle Belt unlike the Idoma people with which they largely share Benue state. When I started encountering them, I discovered they were actually very nice people. It was the opposite of what I was told. Such nasty tales about them were probably spread by the Idoma who are resentful on how they held on to power in Benue state due to their numerical strength.
