Naija people sha!

I mean, why is everything a threat? Who said she is 'benching' anyone? Is there anything wrong in having a VAST pool of talented, quality footballers to draw from? If you haven't figured it out yet - that is the thin line between being a champion and constantly falling short.

We've got a lot of quality options - sure, until the key ones start going down with injuries then you realize how sparse you are and miss out on winning and making an impact. We all witnessed how injuries to Esther Okoronkwo and Oshoala pretty much torpedoed our winning a 10th WAFCON, YET, a player says they want to switch their allegiance to the Super Falcons and the response is 'go play for England instead' ? Really? Do you have any idea what it takes for some of these kids to make such a decision in their life? Yet you thumb your nose at her for summing up the courage to do so. And you really think these ladies don't read your comments and are influenced by such reactions? C'mon, man!

When the likes of Roosa and Zogg pledged their allegiance to the SF, did they displace anyone? However, the Nigerian coach knows that at any point, that player can be tapped to don on the GWG jersey (as opposed to wishing that we had them in our squad) because they are in our pool of committed players. We Nigerians really need to stop being myopic and think more deeply. That is the ONLY thing holding us back!
Deltamani:

Come come seat who out on the bench??
If she wanted to play for Nigeria she would have done that long ago, Please let her stick to her England..

We have got a lot of quality options already, the likes of Esther Okoronkwo, Uchenna Kanu needs more playing time

I believe it is best to have as many good players as possible. Female footballers can suddenly close their playing career, lose form or another thing.

You have a point though, but let the Youngieeees like Florence Sabastine come in instead of her!

even the best teams in the world will welcome a quality addition

Rinsola Babajide is good but not as good as Esther Okoronkwo…

I will definitely pick Uchenna Kanu thrice before Rinsola Babajide..
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 9:25pm On Feb 14, 2023
uchenna is better than Esther okoronwko, Rinsola babajide is also better than Esther okoronwko, Ajibade is also better than esther okoronwko , if they are all in the same camp Esther will struggle to make the bench

I don’t need to argue this with you, You will need to see for yourself first.. Esther Okoronkwo is one talent that hasn’t been noticed yet in the Superfalcon, Hopefully she will gets back to full form before the World Cup Proper.

“Hermoso returns to the national team”

A few days ago Jorge Vilda announced the players who will travel to Australia to compete in the Cup of Nations.

As usual, after the temporary retirement from the national team of the famous sixteen players, there is the Real Madrid block, joined by some interesting young people and above all stands out the return of Jenni Hermoso.

The Pachuca player has a strange role in this story. At first it seems to be moving away from the tour of the national team after the transfer to Mexico, she is one of the first to publicly denounce the problems inside and the locker room, but at the moment of turning words into facts she backs off.

The move of the Spanish woman has created a huge controversy, which is why she was accused of hypocrisy and above all selfishness, since to communicate her decision she posted a long letter on social media where at times it turned out to be a unique contradiction.

Such a post has come to the eyes of everyone a way to show their shoulders, to try to get back to the only team that aims for important objectives, mainly the World Cup this summer.

It’s actually not very moral to “make yourself fully available” for a project that you personally don’t believe in and you’re even the spokesperson for quite relevant “complaints”.

In short, this is the thought of most of the public that is following the event, but there is also a small part, made up particularly of journalists and workers, with a more positive thought.

Hermoso’s return, even according to Vilda, would be a great victory; objectively besides being a very important player for the national team, it could be the bridge connecting “Roja” and the revolutionary sixteen.

If you analyze the situation, as things are now, it will be very difficult for Jenni to be able to play the role of mediator with a group of people very convinced of their ideas, with very specific requests and especially, at this moment, the former Barcelona player is not really the one favorite person of the “riotless”.

From this return we can certainly gain an advantage in the football field: in a young team made up of great talents, a player with great experience, which Jenni is always comfortable with.

We will certainly need to check the form of the striker, especially for the change in the championship level, but from the double scored tonight in the match between Leon and Pachuca it seems that he is on top.

Regarding the other task “assigned” to her, for now, it’s still a bit early to talk about a possible connection between the two fighting parties, but beware, of course, nothing is for granted and from now on the World Cup can easily convince the sixteen teams.

Feelers are Rinsola Babajide already working on her switch to play for the Super Falcons.

A good addition??

Super Falcons need all her best legs and if Rinsola can add to the quality in the team, then she is most welcome. Gracias

Let's just assume she has a genuine reason for being late, cus by now people will start tagging her as being proud... Such isn't good for the team's morale

Or Get pregnant. It's getting common this days, especially with new FIFA rules that mandates the clubs to pay the players their full wages in the period of their pregnancy.

Watch out for this space. There will be a lot of rise in cases of pregnancies in few years to come.

If she is that good, why then has she not get called up by England? I can bet you have not watched her play up to 3 times.

No need wasting your Energy responding to Isan if much younger Lauren James can be invited and given playing time why haven’t they given the so called very good Rinsola Babajide invites at least..

Esther Okoronkwo and Uchenna Kanu are a better option than Rinsola, I don’t even know where the hype is coming from..

I don’t even see any special trait that she has that we can really pinpoint that will help the Superfalcons attack..
