Since the Rinsola talk, the only game she played that really impressed me was the one against Sevilla FC last year, she haven’t really performed in any other game like that game between Betis and Sevilla FC till date..

If she is that good, why then has she not get called up by England? I can bet you have not watched her play up to 3 times.
She was called up by the Senior team in 2020.

I really do no think we have a basis for the Rinsola/Okoronkwo comparison. Esther has been marred with injuries the last few years and she's also not played "top flight" football.

Rinsola on the other hand has also had issues with stability as she's had to move clubs several times and she's also not had a great season (the team she plays in could be a factor).

So it all boils down to preference for now. If I were to chose, I'll definitely go with Esther as she's faster and more skillfully. Like some people said though, nothing wrong in having a bundle of talent in the team.

Only once? I'm not sure she made the squad then. I'm not against her getting a spot in our talent bank. But to suddenly rating her above those who have been in the squad already because she changes allegiance is laughable.

James is world class , also it's not everyone that will play for England, if Esther is that good why is she not playing for USA ? if not for super falcons opportunity Esther will still be playing college football
Deltamani:

No need wasting your Energy responding to Isan if much younger Lauren James can be invited and given playing time why haven’t they given the so called very good Rinsola Babajide invites at least..

Esther Okoronkwo and Uchenna Kanu are a better option than Rinsola, I don’t even know where the hype is coming from..

I don’t even see any special trait that she has that we can really pinpoint that will help the Superfalcons attack..

It's not really about rating her above anybody but the fact is that she adds quality to the team.

I just hope that this team move past its reliance on Oshoala especially at the World Cup.

This is how a sports platform described Oshoala's absence. Even the Super Falcons page kinda singled her out with the way they phrased it yesterday.

Who has correct info biko? Was she excused or did she refuse to show? Either way this isn't looking good for her.

One could also try to see it from Oshoala's angle (if she truly refused to show). The last 2 times she honoured the national team call she left with an injury that kept her away from her job for months. First was the Aisha Buhari tournament, second was the nation's cup.

I agree that the debate about who is better than who is rather premature and will not be drawn into it. What caught my attention was your emboldened comment below, which I will punt back to you...

Of all the foreign born and raised female footballers who played age grade for either England or the US, name one of them who received a call up to the Senior WNT? The answer is zero.

For the record:

Toni Payne - United States U17, U20 & U23
Iffy Onumonu - United States U23
Ashley Plumptre - England U15, U17, U20, U23

- Compare this with Rinsola Babajide - England U19, U20 (FIFA WWC Bronze Medalist), U23, England Senior WNT invitee.

And interestingly, pretty much those that played age grade WNT for US/England, who then switched to Nigeria, walked straight into the SF starting 11.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 5:30pm On Feb 15, 2023
Actually, I am very okay with her missing this tournament, as she has nothing else to prove.
Its also more important that she stays healthy for the WWC, even if that means she misses out on friendlies. One cannot also dismiss the level of unwarranted abuse and disrespect from some sections of the media and fans as a possible contributing factor for her possibly staying away.
Its an opportunity for others invitees to step up and be seen.

I don't have a problem with her missing the game at all, it however should be fine properly. She obviously could have asked to be excused like Nicole did, and I believe it would have been honoured, but the impression that she "refused" to show up is concerning. It's one thing if she has an understanding with Randy to excuse herself, but the rumours and posture from the press so far suggest different. This isn't good at all especially for her.

Coach Nora Häuptle and 34 Black Queens players have began camping in build up to this month’s friendlies with Benin and Togo.

You're not getting the point. Rinsola's call-up is not the argument here.
She has been waiting for England's call up for years but when that was no more in sight, and with age catching up on her, she decided to change allegiance. I don't have any problem with that. She is a welcome addition.

But then, a moniker here started pushing ridiculous narratives. Suddenly, she is better than Okoronkwo and Kanu. Reason why I asked that of she is that good, why is she not an integral member of the England women's national team?

BTW, those you mentioned above came willingly. Even Plumptre made her decision head-on.
