My Pc Is Displaying This, How Do I Solve It (with Picture) by ROYH(op): 8:40pm On Feb 22, 2023
So, I've been using this pc for quite some time now apart from the back up that it does not have, everything else is working perfectly until last year around June when I discovered that it's enter button and some other 2/3 buttons ain't functional again but since there's screen keyboard, I don't necessarily bother much about it as I can still be managing it.. So it wasn't in used as I do use it frequently again, so there's nothing to worry about until around December last year that I wanna use it and it started displaying this BOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND

I don't know what's wrong with it maybe it's software problems or hardware.. Please any solution would be highly appreciated.

Are you a programmer? Did you try something
nasty with your os? Is something wrong with
your hard drive?
Have you ever pressed one of those function
keys during boot up? I'm only guessing

On a second thought, try asking Google. I'm serious about this

If you don't have anything useful to say, you'd have just pass rather than trying to showcase nonsense

What's with the uncouth reply?
Work on you manners..

I'll try and get the process penned down here no need. For the video call hopefully you'll find a way to work around it.

Immediately you power it on,press the f9 key if it is a HP laptop,it will show the list of boot device,if you can't find your HDD listed there then probably HDD has shifted from it connector but if it there, just go to bios setup and enable legacy.

Had this experience this month, it was also a HP laptop.

From observation, the option suggesting formatting is OK as that was the path I took.

Using an 8g flash with windows 10os and detecting if the HD accepts MBR or not, just run a system format and install the fresh os or with option to recover files from folder oldwindows.

If u want to explore by yourself that will be fine, but a computer technician will quickly do the fix for you for a fee in addition to basic software installation and driving.

Goodluck

Actually, I could have try to get it done myself but then there's this problem of the MOST VITAL KEY ain't WORKING on the KEYBOARD Like All Those Navigation buttons, The space bar key and even the almighty ENTER KEY + Backspace Key Too That Alone makes vulnerable to technician.. How I wish all the keyboard keys are just working perfectly at this time, I'd have got it fix doing it myself with the inputs of those guys above that already provided similar solutions which I'm sure that's what any sane technician would do first before recommending anything else

small fry, I think you need to check your bios config as BIOS can detect your HDD

As someone suggested, check your hard drive connectors

Maybe the hard drive is bad or it’s shifting from the hard disk connector.
Re: My Pc Is Displaying This, How Do I Solve It (with Picture) by MANNABBQGRILLS: 11:30am On Feb 26, 2023
Restart the computer and then press the F10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.
After opening the BIOS, go to the boot settings.
Notebook computers: Select Storage > Boot Options.Desktop computers: Select System Configuration > Boot Options.
Proceed with the on-screen instructions to change the boot order.

2nd option : Perform Hard Reset

When you reset the device, it forces the system to clear and reestablish the software connections between the BIOS and the hardware.
To perform a hard reset, follow the below-listed steps:

Turn off the computer and remove it from any port replicator or docking station.
Then, disconnect all external devices from your computer and unplug the AC adapter.
Remove the battery as well.Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
Then, insert the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the computer.

Note: Don’t connect any of the peripheral devices, such as USB storage devices, external displays, printers, etc.

Now, turn on the computer. When the start menu opens, select Start Windows Normally with arrow keys and press Enter

Goodluck.
