There will not be any issues since it's within 1 month before your start date. I have already booked my flight for the first week of April too.

Hello house. My student visa is stamped on my old passport which will expire in 7months, automatically it’s 7months that’s stamped on my old passport and my program is for 2yrs. So now i just received my new passport (reissued). Upon getting to Canada I’ll present both the old passport with visa on it plus my new passport - now my question is, (1) will the officer give me a new visa on my new passport? (2) will my study permit indicates 7months which is on d old passport or it will indicates 2yrs+ which is my initial program duration…. (3) Or I need to apply to extend my study permit Thank you.

Thanks so much for bringing this up again and I have been thinking of the best way to structure things.

For funding, my plan is to submit
my 2022 T4 showing how much I earned,
recent paystubs and
a letter from my employer confirming my employment.
Also statement of account for around $10k sitting in an investment account

My other sibling will also be sponsoring on terms similar to the above.

Our combined income in around $125k so there's no doubt that we will be able to cover her cost. In my draft letter of explanation, I've mentioned that her tuition for the first year ($15k) is less than 20% of our annual income.

I also mentioned that we both own homes where my sister will be staying (just to show that living expense is not a problem) and we've jointly contributed to pay the tuition deposit of $1750.

Is this outline convincing to show proof of funds or should we be doing something more?

I’m wary of sending money to her Naira account because of the unpredictable exchange rate and can’t pay the next tranche of the tuition, as it’s not due until August.

Thank you.
Happy to report that my sister's application was approved
Submission date: February 6

My school actually did. All I can say is it depends on the school
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by dotman201: 10:36pm On Feb 24, 2023
Basically with fully paid tuition. once you land you get your enrollment letter. does that any way affect the months of study your program is meant to be actually be for. e-g sept 2023-spet 2024
Wsx2:

You shouldn’t come in here or else you have someone or have the cash to blow till September you must be enrolled before you can work and most of these schools will not give you enrollment letter until full tuition is paid.

Though many are working illegally but you need to be careful. Too many bills here man you can blow up over a 1300cad here a month in Toronto on accommodation food transport phone bills and others so if you aren’t working for months and doesn’t have someone to accommodate you and pay your bills how will you survive? If you have the cash you can come in anytime . Just make sure you have enough cash and have paid full tuition!

The cold here is too much and many students are studying online from home except in few cases you go to school

Hello house, Please I need your suggestion concerning my sister's Canadian study permit refusal. How do we show proof of relationship and sponsor funds available?

Age:41
Course: PGCertificate in Human Resources
Family info: Married with 3 children, she applied for only herself.

Documents attached
- Letter of intent
- bank statements: Receipt of tuition fee fully paid for, fixed deposit of about N5 million (approx $16,800). Her sponsor also showed about 50 Million.
- Letter of sponsorship from my brother.
- Deed of conveyance for our home
- letter from my spouse
- Explanation letter
- Marriage cert
- Birt certificate of kids
- Employment Letter
- Employee reference letter
- Study Leave approval letter

Reason for refusal: Financial Status
1. Insufficient evidence of a relationship between sponsor and applicant: as a result, a lack of evidence on how the sponsor would financially support the applicant and there is a limited obligation for the sponsor to cover the associated cost.

2. The officer is not satisfied that the applicant would have access to funds the sponsor may be offering. As a result, the officer notes there was not enough proof the applicant has sufficient funding if they would not be receiving support from a sponsor

3. The program within the study is short-term and costly. There must be proof that the sponsor is willing to provide funding for this amount.

It’s PPR Guyysssssssssssssssssssssss
I am posting this on behalf of my sister (na we wan drag this girl comot from Nigeria)
We applied via the GC Key portal and this was her first student application. School is SAIT, Sept start
Her timeline
Applied on the 6th of Feb 2023
Biometrics request: Upfront Biometrics from a previous Visitor’s visa
Medicals was done upfront on the 10 Aug 2022
Eligibility started: Not sure, no update on this application, it was just a direct passport request
PPR dropped: 24th February 2023
Documents Submitted:
Digital Photograph
Letter of Admission
Receipt of School fee payment(Tuition Deposit)
Proof of Means of Financial Support
Me and my brother decided to co-sponsor her application as we are both Permanent residents
Letter of Sponsorship(Affidavit notarized in Canada)
Sponsors birth certificate(Just mine and applicant’s BC)
Sponsors letter of Employment confirmation)
Sponsors 3 months’ pay stubs.
My brother’s confirmation of investment $10k
Title certificate of house belonging to me and my brother in Canada(with a confirmation saying she can stay in any of the houses)
We also attached a 5-year bank statement of the applicant showing consistent deposit from me or my brother for my sister’s upkeep.
We also highlighted what our combined income was and stated that her tuition (35k for 2 year course) was about 15% of our total annual income.
Client Information
we submitted all documents listed below
LOE written by my brother (the baddest to ever do it)
Passport data page
Birth Certificate
This application isn’t the most accurate, we did a lot on God’s Grace and Vibes
For home ties, we had mentioned the state of the Nigerian educational system and the incessant ASUU strike (my sister is a final year student in one of the federal universities), we also highlighted how she has been on a 3.5-year course for almost 5 years and there’s no end in sight. We also mentioned that she is the caretaker of our late parents’ property, and she has sentimental attachment to it and she will be returning to continue her duties over the property.

Please anyone with SAIT whatsapp group or support group will be highly appreciated.

Hi guys. Thank you so much to everyone for sharing their stories
I have a peculiar situation and I would love your help please. I didn’t consider going the school route until last month (I was hoping to try express entry again ), so I went ahead to apply to Conestoga college and I got admission for May 2023 . I am to make payment for first semester by March .

Now these are my questions and concerns;
- I intend to go with my kid (less than a year) and my husband. How much do we need in total
- I intend to get the POF from a family friend . Since I don’t have six months for the money to sit in my account, do I tell them to sponsor me instead .
- How much do I need to have myself in my account
- is it possible I get my study visa before May
Please any additional information you might have for me will be appreciated as I’m so overwhelmed with all the information here and I’m confused on where to start from

- I should also mention that I have an active visitor visa that will be expiring soon .

Thank you

Evening lovely People..I just got my PPR yesterday, but my LOA has expired since January 9 2023 and I have been asked to submit my passport for stamping between now and 30 days..I have written my school since last month to renew my application for September 2023 intake and they haven't sent me new LOA till this moment.. And my International Passport will expire May 2024..If I take my Passport to embassy for stamping within the 30 days that I was instructed, how many month stamped visa will be on my Passport. And if luckinly I receive a new LOA before the 30 days, will I need to inform IRCC before I take my Passport to the embassy or is it advisable I inform them after my Visa has been stamped. Please I need response on this.
