Yea I was the one that helped him then. I don't know how it works now but then, I got it at exams and records department. I think it was a one day thing. You will be required to pay certain amount. I don't know how it works now but I will prefer you go there yourself. Cheers. naeo: 1 Like |

naeo: If you are in uniben go to exams and record. But if you have someone in your HOD's office he can help you with one. They will use department letterhead paper to prepare it, that one will be more fast that the one of exams and record. You DM me let me tell you one other option 2 Likes |

Hi guys, I figured this might be useful for those who would love to study in Germany. The video compiled a few scholarship opportunities in Germany. The end of the video also talked about opportunities for current students in Germany. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYgARkYJoTQ |

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by dennison4luv: 10:29am On Mar 07, 2023 |
16inchdick: Uniben transcript is processed online. Within 23k-25k and if they are sending it outside Nigeria through email its 30k but if its through posting to outside Nigeria you will pay extra for the COURIER service |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by 16inchdick: 10:45am On Mar 07, 2023 |
dennison4luv: Thanks am just confused whether to process it online I don't know if it's fast |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by dennison4luv: 11:02am On Mar 07, 2023 |
16inchdick: The truth is, you have to go to uniben. Go to the business centers close to exams and record, they will do the application and payment for you online, then you take the print out to submit at exams and record. Then find one of the staff that you will sort out things with, he will help you to monitor and push the process. Without that your transcript will not be ready in 6months time 1 Like |

Oye50: It has been a while since I came here but then I have time today so I want to encourage you guys with a short story (my story of the German adventure). I started checking this thread in 2012 when I read almost from the beginning to the end. However, during those times I remember many people complained that those that travelled to Germany do not come back here to give updates on their life during and after their studies. I and many others made a commitment to come back once in a while to update those willing to take our path. I came back on this thread about two years ago when I got a job here in Germany to talk about it but here today, I would like to talk generally about my path in Germany. I hope this would not be too long and boring for you. My journey started in 2015, when I came to study Agricultural Economics (Masters program), without a scholarship, To tell you plainly, it is not easy as a self-funded student in Germany, although very doable. Many times I remember I go for a night shift and resume for another morning shift the following day so that I can pay my bills. Now, Imagine what it would be like now for students when prices are skyrocketing. That is why these days, I try to help students with scholarship information and that was the reason why I shared the video I quoted. Moving forward, I graduated with an above-average grade and immediately after I got my first interview, I thought life is so easy. The interview went excellently well but I never heard back from the company despite sending a few more messages. From that time, it took almost 6 months to get the next interview after paying for different professional CV editing services. Still no show. It took 1 year and a few months after I finished before I finally got a break. Mind you, many of my colleagues already left Germany for the US and many other places because their 18 months expired and for many other reasons. Fast forward to 2022, I applied for a permanent residence permit because once you have worked for 2 years after studying here you are entitled to it. After several bureaucracies, I got the permit. With the permit, the possibilities here are endless, you can even become self-employed. My advice for you when you are coming are: 1. PLEASE LEARN GERMAN LANGUAGE if you are really serious about coming here. I had 2 interviews in the past where I missed out at an advanced stage because I couldn't speak German then. It is better and cheaper to learn in Nigeria before coming to face the ever-moving life here. 2. Another piece of advice is please do not come here just because you want to leave the country, make sure you research about your course of study very well before coming here. Some programs are designed for you to go back to your country and develop it not to stay here. If you come for such a program, your chances of getting a job before 18 months are limited 3. Try to apply for scholarships if you can, it will make your life easier when you get here and your grades can be enhanced. 4. There are many opportunities for you here if you can associate yourself with the right group. That's it. I am talking too much already and I apologize for that. I just realize that for me to also try to catch up since the last time I was here, there is a need to paint the whole picture. So guys, all the best 11 Likes |

Hi, Can you pls give me information on University of Paderborn and the city. Based on living expense and in terms of jobs. Thanks Give it a shot. Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University, Landau (formerly University of Koblenz-Landau) is quite a serious despite being the poorest in the State of Palatinate. Uni in a small town, nice Nigerian community and international community. Also look closer at Th Köln and Uni Köln, Bochum, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Essen-Duisburg. These are better cities in terms of jobs. I will personally recommend the expensive city of Hamburg. There's a Uni there for IT related course. [/quote] |

Thanks for the Insight. Considering the current Nigeria VISA situation and for someone that might be travelling around July, do you think A2 language level is okay for a start?..as that is possibly the most achievable between now and July. Oye50: |

Oremeter: Goodday. No, I didn’t. The school doesn’t partner with Uni-assist. You just have to apply directly to the school. Although international student are to pay the sum of €25 euro to evaluate their documents. I submitted my WAEC results, my one year university transcript, CV, receipt of payment made (of the €25), application form, and letter of Motivation. Although, they’ll tell you to submit the documents by post or through the university email address. But I sent mine by email. Thanks. |

Hello guys, For those of us who got admitted to a school in Germany either public or private FOR THE SUMMER SEMESTER 2023 and wondering if our admission letter will still be valid even though we still haven’t been called for our interview and the summer semester has passed, I’d suggest you write to your school about it if they can offer you a new admission letter. I wrote mine two days ago and I just got an email from them saying they’ll send me a certificate by post confirming that my admission is still valid and I can start my studies in the winter semester or the next summer semester 2024. Provided that I enroll and re-register properly. So just do the same and send them an email to see their response because not all schools defer admissions. Thanks. 1 Like |

Hello guys, For the summer semester 2023 students, I’d suggest you also write to your school if they can write an Invitation Letter to the embassy in your case, saying you’re needed in school urgently to attend classes for the summer semester and should be given a date for your interview. (I already did and waiting for a favorable response) ... We should just try every means we can. Luck can come from anywhere. “You never know what you can do unless you try! By grace through faith” This Germany WE ALL must go by fire by force weda the devil likes it or not. And I pray they start releasing dates to those who’ve been waiting for a long time. 4 Likes |

Ayomide002: Hello, You can observe these schools and courses taught in English that I know of. They don’t require Uni-assist. Also where I got my admission and currently enrolled. University of Tübingen - Interdisciplinary American Studies, Computer Linguistics (€1,500) Hochschule Bonn-Rhein Seig - International Business, Forensic Science, Applied Biology (FREE) Furtwangen University - International Business Management (€1,500) Reutlingen University - International Business, International Industrial engineering, International Project Engineering (€1,500) Schmalkalden University of Applied Science - International Business and Economics (FREE) - but require an English Proficiency Test result or a Certificate from your university saying your courses were all taught in English. Uchepet: The information you need about the Uni is on their website, every other information are subjective and varies from people and cases. As for living expenses, it's generally the same and will that change your mind if I tell you there's a significant inflation now? I admonish you to focus... Put necessary documents together, apply, begin sourcing for funding, plan towards interview (depends on your category), finally, be patient. |
