Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by 2kurupt(m): 11:41pm On Mar 09, 2023 |
MrDam:. Applying to a school not having that feature implies you're leaving the country immediately your study is complete. You're not authorised to stay back & work thereafter 3 Likes |

Hi good evening.. my case is a little different I started my study permit visa application in November 2021, and up till date IRCC hasn’t made a decision on my application. On my portal on the Final decision, it keeps showing; “Your application is in progress, we will send a message once the final decision has been made” . It has gone on for too long and I am just worried why it’s taking this long. Which has caused me to defer my admission for the 3rd time now. And my current admission is for May and still no decision has been made. Attached is the details about my application status from my portal. 1 Share

MrDam:Lol. Don't waste your money on school without DLI. Don't allow any agent to convince you oo. You would have wasted both your money and time as such certificate from a non-DLI school is totally useless. You can't use it to apply for jobs, stay in Canada after study or earn points in Canadian permanent residency application. You can't even use it to apply for study permit application in the first place. So you would have wasted money on school application fee. 1 Like |

Idbaba01:Check the website if they have separate deadline dates for Canadians/PR and international students. Most school have March 1st deadline for international applicants. 1 Like |

Bamz555:The funny thing is someone asked this your question on the same page as you and it has already been answered also on that same page. A lot of the basic questions asked, if you go through the thread you will see others have already previously asked and been answered but you do not want to read and instead prefer garbage in garbage out. Page 1 of this thread also contains a lot of information 4 Likes |

Review your application. I believe it is due to discrepancies between the information they verified and what you completed on the form. For example, maybe you did not admit previous refusals to Canada or other countries like the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand etc. Habeebboy: |

I'm just curious, guys. If one has been refused a visa before, say visit visa to U.S about 7 years ago, is it necessary to mention that? If yes, hope it won't jeopardize ones application. JESUSSON1: |
