Nairaland is now mature to vote....
I stopped coming to Nairaland before the general elections because of Tribal comments. All those comments against ethnics should be banned please!

Nairaland Forum was founded by Mr Oluwaseun Osewa,who was a student of the prestigious institution,Obafemi Awolowo University,where he studied electrical engineering in 1998, before he left to focus on the forum.

Since its onset,when the forum was created, on the march 10,2005 (it was whe the founder registered), it has been known to be of great place to learn things that revolve around humans.

Anyways for me,I found nairaland an amazing place to conect with people around the world.And I found it an interesting one.

What about you?
How well do you appreciate Nairaland and its founder?

Before he left, meaning he didn't graduate ni. The founder has done a good thing but he should deal decisively with the trial bigots and tribal remarks/comments otherwise he would only turn here to an e-tribal war zone.

In addition, he should listen or have a support thread where complaints, opinions and suggestions are registered.

In all honesty, it been a great place but he has also lost valueable members. From ishilove to lala and to name a few.

Ishilove is still a member of this site.

Also, all internet fora are toxic areas....Reddit for example has its issues.

GREAT PLATFORM!!! Helped so many of us.
I just wish the owner and moderators can be a little bit more responsible and stop using the platform to amplify the religious and tribal differences that is tearing the unity of Nigeria apart......... Focus less on traffic and Shut down tribalistic comments as quickly as possible and others will fall in line, Ban posters of such comments too..... You can still be profitable doing the honourable thing, If this division you amplify does not consume you, it will consume the generations after you.
Overall...great platform and many more years and success to Nairaland.

I was prevledged to be a member of nairaland in 2005. How time flies....Nairaland used to be a forum of great education and entertainment. But now it if filled with touts, tribalism, biased news and children. God bless this forum, i seema greater future

I joined nairaland in 2011 and I really appreciate the site. Seun really tried. There was a religious issue here some years back and I gave an advice that a notice should be placed on here that 'each and everyone is responsible for what he or she posts'
Nairaland took to it and they placed it on the site. It's been wonderful, with opinions, news, discussions and each time I want to relax with my phone, nairaland is it!

The bolded is very important. In addition, the suggestions should be critically reviewed and implemented so as to make for a great forum.

I discovered this platform in 2011 and it was a wealth of wisdom back then. Articulated inputs by members in a respectable manner, not the tribal comments and slurs that is now the other of the day.
