You obviously haven't followed the thread closely. It turned out he was actually talking of Canadian dollars and nurse practioner (which is almost a doctor), and you are still here arguing it!

There’s actually nothing to argue.

The comment I made saying if he’s in NorCal then it’s true is valid because that’s attainable in NorCal by a good number of nurses not just a slim minority. So there’s no argument whatsoever pertaining to what I said. You responded to my comment as if to say I too I’m lying.

PoliteActivist:

Ok, so their base salary $51/hr on average (see below), then when you add travel allowance it jumps to $110/hr!!! Anyway what we are discussing is base salary.
$51/hr is still a whole lotsa dough. I can only imagine a poor nurse here in Naija reading this right now cheesy

Yes $51/hr is good money. However new nurses here start around $70+/hr and with experience can reach up to $123/hr if you add shift differentials or on call differential for those on call. But yes the base pay can totally be over $100/hr before adding anything extra.

No mention of overtime or double time yet for those who have energy.

Stop posting internet screenshots at me. It won’t change the facts of what I’m saying

it does not need to be 400k, you can start with 20k turn it over to 30k offset the 20k and now you have 10k free cash

You rinse and repeat each time increasing the capital you get and ensuring you investing in something that has high chance for success, slowly and steadily - eventually, you'd get there

Ook thank you

With all due respect, now I can tell you emphatically you are lying, which I never said before. I told you before, these things are online, posted not only by the likes of Indeed, but by GOVERNMENT AGENCIES who have every last detail about these people's salaries.
Stop being lazy cheesy, stop relying on anecdotes, get off your a** and do some research! wink
The below is from US Bureau of Labour Statistics. I posted it after someone said traveling nurses make more than $110/hr!

The figures I mentioned specifically pertains to NorCal. Like I’ve been saying from my very first post. Not all of America. Is that enough for you or do you still think I’m lying?

Also I’m talking about staff RNs. Not NPs or CRNAs or Travel RNs

Hey buddy, would you be open to mentoring me on the Amzon gig?

I admire those who have the time and expertise to delve into the trucking industry, but from what I've heard, it sounds like a complex and risky business. With the potential for truck drivers to abandon their vehicles in remote locations, high repair costs, and insurance expenses, there are numerous moving parts to manage. Personally, I prefer the convenience of selling my own branded products on Amazon and utilizing their fulfillment services, which allows me to operate from the backend.

Whatever it is you are talking about, wherever it is you are talking about, there is detailed record of it online available to anybody with internet access wherever they may be in the world. So it is no longer possible to pull the wool over anyone's eyes simply because they are not in the US!

How does tech take you round the country ?
Companies are constantly upgrading softwares and hardwares and in advanced cases requires the services of highly specialized engineers to travel to them for services. You are sometimes needed all over depending on ur specialization.

How about life insurance? It's a dangerous job. Do you offer life insurance and how much?

Nobody offers you life insurance and truck driving is not dangerous and can only be if you don’t follow the traffic rules, ELD and don’t drive according to your truck governor or driving when there is a weather advisory flashing lights

My analysis is hypothetical which I may be wrong or right but the chances of saving $300k on 5 years for an African who just moved to States is next to nothing and on % level, in every 10,000pwoplw to move to US, only about 5 or less will be able to save $300k in their first five years. Take it to bank.

youngRx:

The problem with this analysis is that you are assuming all tech jobs pay 100k. Even at that, if you earn 300k annually, even if taxes take away 50% that's 150k net income annually. If you're not extravagant, you can survive on 40 to 50k annually. (Most Americans survive on less than 40k yearly and they're doing fine) . If you save 100k yearly, what is 300k (#200M) that you won't save after 4 to 5 years of staying abroad??

The truth is, this may not be the reality of everybody abroad, but there is no denying that there are actually people who are earning this much and living within their means

Do not expect money to appear in your pocket just because you live abroad.
You have to work hard for it, and be sensible in spending it.

Bro having $20k in your account doesn't require you to be a governor's son. Don't be deceived by those who claim certain figures are unattainable in America or canada Some Nigerians are achieving great things and earning significant amounts of money. Let me motivate you a bit by sharing my earnings from Amazon last year. I didn't even include the sales I made directly from my online store.

Please how can you help me!
I have seen a lot of mess in this life!
