Isn't it ironic that such punitive migration laws are gaining ground under the rule of a PM who is largely an immigrant himself.

And you believe he is acting on his own accord?

They are greater powers.

I stumbled on a thread some minutes ago. The games selected by the OP are all good matches that can deliver the option the OP picks.

https://www.nairaland.com/7606299/wf-football-predictions-get-8

More like 99%

Including my very humble self.

MOTD analysis kill all of dem dia.

Unless you don't watch BBC on a steady. There has been influx of immigrants, coming in illegally and the Home Office wants to curb it.

Illegal migration takes a toil on the e boomy of a nation because taxes are spent on a population not accounted for.

[quote author=budaatum post=121642965]A BBC spokesperson said on Friday night: “We understand their position and we have decided that the programme will focus on match action without studio presentation or punditry.”

The row was sparked by his response on Twitter to a Home Office video in which home secretary Suella Braverman unveiled plans to stop people crossing the Channel on small boats.

I have never been a fan of Gary, but I truly appreciate him for this one .. Respect.

How can they say the immigrants are illegal meanwhile UK does not share any physical land border with any other country which means that the authorities can clearly see these people as they are coming.

Which means that it is also the same authorities that are allowing them to come into the country.

Well, sha, I don't even watch BBC at all.

What influx?
What are the numbers and how are they different from 10 or 20 years ago?
What we have is an Indian origin PM and Home Secretary trying to appear tough on migrants just like the previous Home Secretary.
They are trying too hard and impressing no one. Trying to distract attention from the strikes and rising cost of living. Who really cares about boat people?

Behold the preacher of "freedom and free speech" showing their other side = Hypocrisy.

The west that some lost Africans worship.

Don't you know that they are work ethics and ethos guiding very government establishment
The BBC is only saying as a paid staff of the BBC there are topics you should stay off, linker sign the documents before he started working in the BBC

Is like saying an NTA brocaster go online and criticizing the policy of the buhari government, what do you think will happen to him or her

This is not about freedom of speech but following protocols set by the establishment you work for.

The NYsc scheme, when you read the code of conduct, you will see were you are told not to engage in government protest, nor discuss anything related to government policy.. These are normal rights any Nigeria should have, but as long as you are in the scheme those rights are limited..

In the UK, they have the official secret act, this means as a government worker working in mi6, or mi5, GCHQ or any other sensitive government establishment, disclosing official documents or speaking against government, can attract persecution
But a normal citizen or a reporter in the globe newspaper can publish anything he or she wants and won't be persecuted,
Is it that both the workers in MI6 or the globe newspaper have different rights??
No the one in the government establishment is bound by law and the ethics of the establishment he works not to disclose or speak on certain topics.

And besides go check the number of African migrants that are dead on a daily basis trying to cross the English channel into the UK,

Last year it reached a record high m

This is hypocrisy
If any BBC staff comes out to say what Putin is doing in Ukraine is terrible, that would be fine.
If They did the opposite They would be sacked

Record high? Really?Where is the data published?

UK is the very reason Tinubu is sitting tight on his stolen mandate.

UK will always support evil and act like they're saints.

Gary Lineker is a first rate gentleman by all standards
(The only player that never earned a yellow card or red card throughout his career) and, for him to call out UK' unjust laws towards helping migrants shows the stuff he's made of.

A good heart always shines through.

I once read that the reason why it was so difficult for Adolf Hitler to take over Great Britain during his bid to conquer Europe was because of the body of water that surrounded the UK.

But I have checked what you suggested, and according to the information there, Ireland is the only country that has physical border with the UK.

Could it be that those so-called illegal immigrants are coming in from Ireland?

I always said that brown people are the most dangerous and racist people.

Check UK PM tweet last week, that even the white British on twitter started hitting him with insults.
If it was white PM that tweet, media will come for this head

Over 81,000 illegal immigrants came in through france to UK on small boats from 2020, that's a huge number for any country.

Those illegal immigrants are costing UK £1.5 billion a year, since they are signatory to immigration and asylum acts, they are obligated to provide accommodation and support for these illegal immigrants pending when they settle their asylum claims.

Now imagine over 200k crossing from neighboring countries in a year.....You can now see why Trump was the best thing that could happen to America. The U.K with it's big mouth criticized him then but now they are facing their own problem....Karma's a biatch grin grin grin grin

Most they are coming from France.
The water channel water is not as big as Med sea.
It’s easy to cross to UK by land, that’s the reason UK built massive security at the border with France even when both are separated by water

With Ireland, land border. With France, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, sea.

Hitler couldn't move into UK because the UK has one of the best, if not the best naval force.

Who better to pass such policy? Then nobody can accuse such of being "racist".

Just as Shemima Begum had her citizenship withdrawn by another South Asian heritage government official. It's all a game and these people are being used as pawns.
