Good evening sir, please I will like to enquire about something from you.most atimes I heard that many professional like Nurses and IT want to leave uk to relocate to Australia. Please I will be glad if you can explain to me how Australia is better than UK like for a Nurse and other things too.I hope to hear from you.Thanks.

According to my research, a more relaxed system, better weather, better wages and reduced workload (for nurses)

I was telling my junior colleagues at work that it's shameful that I can not get free or even subsidized viewing of Premier league in the very country where it is domicile.

They all concurred and said they heard its almost next to nothing, the price for cable TV to watch games.

Well I didn't tell them I stream all live matches on my laptop, I simply use HDMI cord and watch on my Tv. No be me my village people go send back because these people and gossip na bread and butter grin grin.

The UK is a stingy, unfair and hypocritical system.

Some days I wake up and literally want to run to Australia or Canada. Strength to write exams never dey, the day morale falls on me, I dust my clinical texts.

How una dey?

You don't have to use it ....... View a credit card, as a loan in hibernation mode ........

If you have a credit card with £0 maintenance fee, it cost you nothing, if you don't spend/use it ......

The month I didn't spend 1% from my credit balance. My credit score dropped and that was the reason they gave.

Nothing much I know of asides better remuneration, better standard of living, healthy work load for Medical personnel.

I am not a nurse though, but I know nurses earn well in Australia without having to do 100hr shift per week.

It's really a personal thing at the end of the day.

Good day Elders; My questions is about the Work pension scheme, i have been thinking about opting out due to the ROI of the pension but when I think about that it’s tax free plus my employer contributes, I want to stay. As at now am very confuse. Elders should help me and others who might be in my shoe light torch so we the children can see clearly. Agba yi a dale oo smiley

Don't opt out please. You need at least 35 years of NI to access the full pension. And 10 years NI to qualify for basic pension. Even if you move elsewhere, you can still draw that pension. See it as forced savings

Please bosses in the house, I have a little problem. I just got to the UK as a dependent last month and my wife (main applicant) visa expires in May.

Ever since, I have been looking for jobs even if it’s cleaner or factory work but due to the fact that I have no BRP and no experience working in the UK, most of the these companies are not giving me job. The reason for not having BRP as stated by UKVI is because I entered UK in less than 6 months to the visa expiration date and the reason why it was so is because I was in my finals here in Nigeria, I had to finish school before joining my partner.

I asked this question about one week ago as regards entry to the UK

Honestly, I'll say stay and max out your contribution which gets matched by your employer. It's free-money without taxation.

If you opt out, what alternative scheme are you looking to go into? Will the ROI march the counterpart funding from your employer post-taxation? Only a little schemes can match up.

While the contributions may look rather minute at the outset and year-on-year, it's gets bigger in years to come. Drops of water makes an ocean - if the drop no stop.

I yield the mic for the honourables. grin

Our only option here now is to apply for PSW and I need to work to be able to meet up. We stay in Bournemouth and she’s working 20hrs/week but rent and other bills are there and we need to balance up the school fees too. Please if there’s anyone with cash in hand jobs I can do? I’d appreciate. I already have every necessary docs to work including updated DBS but only BRP. The care job that made me do the DBS are now saying till next month before I can start working with them.

First and foremost......

Write a list of all the bills + mortgage/rent......

You can decide to go on wage percentage terms or simply pick and choose........

One person no dey pay bills for the UK, person go just die (whilst the other person is just buying bags and sending unallocated fund's to families abroad)......😂🤪🤣

There are many families up and down this country with a sole income. A sole parent works to pay the bills whilst the other parent takes care of the kids at home. What works for family A might not work for family B, there is no one size fits all. The problem, I find, with 2 parents working to split bills is that a large chunk of it is spent on childcare which defeats the whole purpose of both parents working in itself.

Hi all,

Has anyone here tried to renew their Nigerian passport in the UK? What's the process like please? I've visited the website several times but can't seem to progress beyond the page where I input the reason for passport renewal. It also navigates to a login page meanwhile I don't see any link for creating an account (which I assume is required before you can log in, in the first place).

Thanks!

The full pension is what you get if you have paid upto 35 years worth of NI or paid the difference by paying into it upfront now (I think that particular scheme closes sometime this year). Otherwise, you get a proportion of the full pension (basic) if you've paid more than 10 years of NI but less than 35. The basic pension is about £105.80 a week. The full pension is about £185.15 a week.

Your employer pensions (whatever is there and accrued) is then a top up and the accruing income and interest are not taxed! As you can see, just having the employer pension means you'll have more than just the basic or full pension to live on from when you retire. Unless you want to work till you drop!

This!!!

You should have applied when your wife was applying so your BRP is delivered same time as hers while you wait and complete your final exams. No crying after spilling the milk, you just have to wait for the care job guys or if you're lucky with the cash in hand jobs which pay low mostly.

You can't get a share code without BRP 🤷🏿‍♀️ This was the reason we argued the need for dependents to apply at least 6 months before MA visa lapses. BRP is not issued for less time left on MA visa or less visa duration but hey what do we know.
