Sometimes I wonder why our politicians steal so much. By God's grace, I became rich and graced to see hundreds of million. A few contracts here and there and a great career. But here comes a new problem. This doesn't excite me anymore. The next 10 million is not going to make my life any better. Promotion at work, increase in income, nothing excites me anymore and worse is that I am not materialistic at all, so acquiring gadgets, toys, or building mansions could never make me excited. I live a very simple life, wear basic quality fashion items, and drive simple cars. This is just my personality and not an act of humility.

Despite all the many good things that have happened in my life and all the things that I could potentially acquire. I am at a stage where I am really confused about myself.
Sometimes I buy unnecessary things I don't need just to feel like I am spending money. Other times, I am quick to assist deserving friends.

If you are not materialistic and yet, rich. How did you overcome this problem? This problem has left me in a state where I am neither happy nor sad.

It appears that your happiness had been depending on your life achievements but the moment you lost the excitement for more exploits, you simply hit the rock.

You need the ability to separate yourself from everything that make up your world and look inward so to discover your inner man. Humans often discover too late that we have everything within us.

We are not talking about a state of being happy or sad. He said can money give you happiness? In order words, can it give you excitement? And I say yes.

Take for instance, you've been indoors all day hungry and sad. Suddenly you get an unexpected alert, what will happen? You'll be excited and end up a happy fellow by the time you're done meeting your needs but in his case, because the money is always there, he no longer sees the need to be excited because his needs are always met he now seeks for other source of happiness which may not be there. Things are being taken for granted when their availability is much.

"Happiness" is different from "Joy".

Just a level, you probably feel empty, a lack of fulfillment, only fulfilment of your purpose gives you 100% happiness.

The True Happiness and Joy of Life lies in "TRUE LOVE" which most people lack. Believe Me. If only we can love ourselves wholeheartedly, Spread Joy and Happiness. The World would be a better Place for everyone of Us.

Material Things which included money will only give you Short Euphoria as someone emphasized up there. Overtime, You'do get bored and want to try new things, like adventures, meeting new friends, doing unimaginable things et all.

I am not comfortable yet, But I have been there few times. I mean when I look at my Account Balance, look at the stuffs I got In my apartment and also think about the good things going on for me. At some point, I'do get bored and I'm like so what Next?

No amount of money can make you completely happy.

Yes, it can make you happy initially, but after some time, depression comes in.

Happiness comes when we meet the needs of others and in a good relationship with our creator.

You are correct. I hardly show off. I won't deny that money is good and solves problem but I'm thinking there could be more to life that gives true peace and calmness
