I submitted application on February 27th 2023, got the biometric message on the 28th, I booked biometric for 3rd of March and it was updated same day. I got message for Medical on 13th of March. I have reserve the Mediacal and it's on 3rd of April... that's for mine.

Congratulations wow just 2 weeks, You can actually request a closer date for your medical since you have deadline to meet up with, just send them an email with proof of medicals requested, but a friend of mine said she had to go there and they gave her a close date. I will advise you to so it can be uploaded to IRCC website on time

Wetin be all these ā€œPOF to matureā€ wey una Dey talk?

Just have a well-defined inflow and outflow of funds in your account for the duration of 4Months, explain all lump sums (if any).

In my opinion, the expression ā€œPOF to matureā€ is misleading.

Thanks

Well this didn't work for me. Deposited till I garnered the full POF. Then applied 10days later. Showing where the inflows came from etc. and documents to follow the trail. Yet, still got refused for "Insufficient funds".

Thank you sir. No, there are no taxes paid. Don't think there's any paid in Naija for crypto. Resumption is September 2023. However school mentioned they need copy of study permit by July 1.

I mentioned in my SOP my other source of income aside crypto. I run a B2B, I have an app used for data purchase, bill payments etc. Showed business reg certificate etc. Could this affect?

Hi, is tax clearance needed for data purchase website?

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR VISA IS UNDUELY DELAYED

I have noticed multiple complaints on this platform about the inordinate processing period for study permit applications. I empathize and could relate with the anxiousness, agita, distress, and uneasiness that are behind these complaints.

Therefore, to bring relief and enlightenment, I have decided to offer insight on the right decision to take when your application is delayed. I love to say little but in my little, you will find a walloping fragment of sense. Hence, I will keep this write-up to the shortest length.

What do you do when you experience an undue visa delay?

1. Raise a Customer Service Enquiry (CSE) Via the IRCC Webform Medium
The webform is the most efficient and quickest channel of reaching the Canada Immigration Department to process your application. This medium was specially designed to make application tracking easier. Thus, it is the mama that you run to when your application exceeds the current processing duration.

PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO RAISE A CUSTOMER SERVICE ENQUIRY:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=Nairobi&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

The process is simple and illustrative.

2. Send an Email to the Department Processing Your Application
Before you do this, ensure you have waited for 5 working days. If there is no response, then please go ahead and send them an email. As far as Nigerian applicants are concerned, most applications are processed at the Nairobi Office, so here is an email address that you should employ: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca

3. Contact a Member of Parliament (MP)
Once you have completed Step 1 and Step 2 and yet there is no change in your application, then you should create a friendship with patience for an additional 2 weeks. If after that, there is still no update of any kind, then you can write a Member of Parliament (MP) within the jurisdiction of your proposed institution. The office of the MP has unrestrained access to the Home Office, Home Secretary, and Immigration Minister. Such an office is equipped enough to raise an inquiry on your case, and you know what that could do to your application.

I must caution you to be as polite as possible while doing this. Your issue is with the IRCC and not the MP

4. Hire an Immigration Lawyer
Note: before you resort to this option, you must have ordered your GCMS note to ascertain what is causing the delay. If the GCMS note does not help, then instruct your lawyer to submit a Formal Request Letter on your behalf. Trust me, this has always worked. But, if it doesnā€™t you have the last option.

5. Request an Order of Mandamus from a Federal High Court
This is an option I can only recommend to people whose applications have lasted for more than a year. When you obtain a writ of mandamus, the IRCC officials would have no choice but to prioritize the decision on your application. So far so good, I have not seen any mandamus that wasnā€™t honored within 60 days. But, as I earlier stated, make it your last resort.

I have spared precious time to compose this for your enlightenment, and I hope it helps someone out there.

Quote me when you have your PPR because it shall surely come!

Please can someone tell me how to write Statement of purpose

Don't be discouraged; you can get it this time. There's nothing I can add to what @Bobomaigida has pointed out.
joefit4gur:
Second refusal, omo! Satan is a liar. They don't think I'll leave Canada because:

* Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

2 Year Course
Applied March 15th.

1. Full tuition paid for first year: 21KCAD
2. 16M in POF account
3. Showed trail of funds from crypto to traditional bank account
4. POF was complete March 5.
5. Even attached video evidence to confirm Binance account ownership

Dunno if I got the POF calculations wrong, or it's cuz I applied 10-days after POF was complete. Since I showed proof of the digital asset sold. My morale is low, but I have ordered CBSA. I'm not touching the monies, but any idea into what could have gone wrong?

Previous CBSA mentioned "Financial information is not supported with evidence of income tax paid nor pay slips, for the bank statement balances on file." I didn't add any tax slips because the monies for POF were from digital assets sold. Do I need to show tax paid for that?

Omoooo!

Bobomaigida:

So sorry Joe for the refusal. I believe they do not recognize the funds from the digital assets sold, to them it look like fund just raise for demonstration purposes, if you have taxes paid on them, it will to some extent show that fund were made from a recognized source. Then the fact that you applied 10 days after you receive the funds after the completion of the POF was also a reg flag. if your resumption date is still far, I think you should let the funds stay in your account for a while so that your ownership would have been adequately conferred on them before resubmitting the application.
I have a question, Yes i know that crypto is not legalized in Nigeria, so i am just wondering what one would now tell the VO what he does for a living esp if trading of crypto/digial assets is the person's source of income.

What God Cannot Does Not Exist!!!

It's PPR guys, am super excited right now, (Long read)
The journey has not been easy.

2 refusals, one judicial review dismissed.

First application (handled by myself)
Submitted November 11th, 2021
Refused March 5th, 2022
Reasons
Personal assets & Financial Status
Travel history
(GCMS note stated that Primary Applicant provided a company account for proof of funds. Mind you the company account was my personal company account)

Second application (handled by Mr Frank Reuben)
Submitted May 4th, 2022
Refused June 8th, 2022
Reasons
Personal assets & Financial Status
(GCMS notes stated that Primary Applicant provided account with unexplained lum sum) meanwhile the lum sum was well explained in the LOE and all evidence to back these explanations were provided.

Mr Frank looked at the application and the reasons for refusal and said there's nothing wrong with my application.

I seeked the advice of a lawyer who also look at my application, what was submitted and couldn't find any error with the application. He advised I go for a judicial review that I will most likely get a settlement out of court (Although I read here on nairaland how Makano especially always advise people against judicial review and how expensive and time wasting it can be).

June 14, 2022, I went ahead with the judicial review with the hope of getting settlement out of court within 1 - 2 months as I normally see few persons get it here.
I waited and waited and waited with no decision made. I had to plead with my college to defer me to May 2023 from September 2022 when I was suppose to resume (this is a school that stated clearly they do not accept deferrals, but I pleaded with them showing evidence of the ongoing court case).

November 2022, the lawyer finally responded that ircc isn't giving any settlement and that it intends to go to court on this issue, he sent me their own judgements and all. The waiting game continued till late January 2023, at this point I was frustrated, the school resumption is getting close again(deferral not an option), I didn't know what to do as the lawyer keeps posting me that he hasn't gotten any feedback from the Federal court.

I contacted Mr Frank again and I explained all what had happened and he finally helped me check the status of my case. Low and behold, the case was dismissed in November 2022 and here I was early February 2023 waiting for the Lawyer(7 months wasted ontop judicial review with no positive outcome).

Immediately I swinged into action again with renewed hope (I could see swift responses from ircc with applications and the approval Rate increased drastically).

Third application (Handled personally by Mr Frank Reuben)
Submitted: February 23rd, 2023
Medical Request: March 8th, 2023
PPR & BVL: March 20th, 2023

This time around, I ensured there was no lum sum was in the account

Finally the eagle has landed. I want to use this opportunity to encourage as many of us who have lost hope, or is about giving up not to give up. Give it one more try with all you've got. You can seek the services of some gurus here, they will definitely help out. It will definitely end in praise by God's grace

With my personal experience with judicial reviews, I don't advise people to go for it, just re-apply, it's always better and saves you the money. You can always use that money to pay some part of your tuition as the case maybe.

I want to thank everyone here on nairaland, the gurus in the house, I want to specially thank Mr Frank (F &R Global Consulting Firm) for the work he put in to make my application a success. Keep doing the good work. God reward you all, amen

Coming later with documents I submitted, cheers
