Hello I’m a Dependent and Main applicant is a postgraduate student already in the UK, I’m trying to pay IhS but I keep getting error on visa route. When I choose PBS Tier 4 student I don’t get the second option . Or which is the correct route to choose?

Hello everyone,

I am a resident here in Dubai, UAE. I plan to submit my UK student visa application from here but after my research, I have only gotten more confused. So here are some questions I have. Don't know if these questions have been answered in a previous post, please be kind to answer if you have the information (It would be very helpful)

1. Do I need to apply for a biometrics submission appointment if I have done so with a previous visit visa application back in 2017
2. Can I use my Nigerian Bank Account Statement in my application
3. I would not need the TB test if I apply from here, is this correct?

Thanks in advance!

If you have applied for a Uk visa before, what did you respond in that previous application? If you selected NO before, continue with NO. If you selected YES previously, it would do you a lot of good to maintain YES, and provide details if they request for it. I am telling you from a close person’s experience.

Yes I have. Wow, would need to figure out how I answered this part back in 2017. This friend of yours, do you mind sharing a little bit more about his experience, so I have a better idea of the action i should take moving forward

1.Your biometric is the last stage of your visa application, so u will have to do it
2. 💯 percent Niaja bank account is valid
3.TB test results only have six months life span. After six months u are meant to do another one
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by dduchess90(f): 3:07am On Mar 27, 2023
Hello

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. Not required if you have lived in the UAE for the past 6months and will be applying from there, you must present an evidence of a valid permit to live in the UAE to justify this exemption

If you don't have the evidence please get a TB test done

Cheers

Hello

This is a blanket question, once you narrow down your choices then you can answer your own question

There are factors to consider

What Uni and relevant fees? How many years is your course and how that adds up in your IHS, the location of your Uni and how that adds up in your evidence of maintenance ( whether it is within or outside London), how expensive is the accommodation in that area etc

Back to your question and using one factor school fees as an example
School fees in the UK are within the range of £12k-16k, there are some that are slightly less if you have discounts and even higher, let's assume your fees is £14k
8.3m on Oanda is £14,714 as at today, we haven't considered other factors

Is it possible to pay installmentally, yes, but Uni's are getting wiser and having more stringent fees plan.

Again, once you narrow down your Uni choices you can do the maths yourself and plan appropriately

I hope you see my direction

Cheers

Good to know.

How were you able to pay the deposit is it through form A or black market?

The only payment option on the portal is paying through convera or globalpay.

Don't the school have bank account number one can pay into?

Thanks for your reply

My sister is there, she paid via convera

Yes you can submit both if it covers your study gap

Regarding your salary showing, it will depend on the ECO's quest to investigate

Has anyone got a technical issue on biometrics. Dependent biometrics on March 16th, called ukvi and they said they will escalate afterwards they sent this via email.

"I have checked the details of your escalation and we have no record of your application on our system. This usually means there was a technical problem when you submitted your biometrics. You will need to contact the Visa Application Centre (VAC) or TLS where you submitted your biometrics to get this rectified. If they can't rectify the issue then you will need to re-apply. Apologies for the inconvenience"

Sheffield Hallam University have increased their initial deposit to £3k. That information you so read is correct.
Remember you will also need to pay additional £5k on enrollment bringing total fee paid to £8k before resuming classes and this payment is non negotiable, the uni has one of the most stringent rules concerning tuition fees.
Goodluck.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by dduchess90(f): 3:17pm On Mar 27, 2023
Hello

Reason I said he/she can try but won't go too far without providing the passport

Passport is a very important document, you can only speak of the Uni you are attending not others

Some Uni's won't even look at your application if mandatory documents are not provided.

Cheers
