I don't have the time for that. There are many good aspects of the African cultures and many bad aspects as well.

They're visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.

To see the good sides of the African cultures, start from your immediate environment: the Ibo culture.

There are many kind and generous Ibo people. If you don't know this, I'm not the one to convince you.

Notice how you're yet to answer this question.

Maybe to make it easier, rather than hammering on about my "ibo brothers", how about you use your own Yoruba culture as a reference point and tell me the positive aspects of African culture that we should imbue and imbibe within ourselves.

I really wish that rather than repeating this one million times, you actually get to correcting why you think those words are wrong.

Maybe I said something someway, you took it another way or maybe indeed I'm largely ignorant about African culture and think it's all barbaric, savage and it all belongs in the dark ages, how about you get to educating me on why you think that view is wrong, and not just condemning and condemning and condemning and condemning till eternity?

How about you set to making valid points that expose how my own points are wrong?

Let me guess, you're first sentence is about to be , "I don't have your time". cheesy

There's nothing like African culture. All these frivolous discussions. SMH

Yoruba culture, Ibo culture, Ebira culture, Ijaw culture, Hausa culture, and thousands of other cultures in different parts of Africa are what's called African cultures.

Each of those cultures has their good and bad sides, like all other cultures in the world.

As said earlier, cultures, like people, have their good and bad sides.

If you can't see the good sides of the Yorubas, your fellow Ibos, Ebiras, Ijaws, Swahilis, and other ethnic groups in Africa, I'm not the one to convince you.

It's good you've actually taken my point about Africa not being a monolith, I corrected you after you kept talking about "African culture". Good to know you've learnt something from me, the ignorant one.

Now could you answer the question about positive African culture you keep talking about. Be it Yoruba or Igbo. What are tr aspects of our culture you find worthy of emulation?

To know about African cultures, start from your immediate environment: the Ibo culture. That's an African culture.

What you want to learn on Nairaland is better learnt from your people at home.

When I was a Muslim years ago, I used to consider African cultures as evil and barbaric as taught by the book of lies from Arabia.

But when I got older and read many books of history, I broadened my scope, left religion, and realized I was wrong about our cultures.

Then, I moved closer to the pagans in my vicinity and Osun to learn the Yoruba culture from them. I still do so till now.

Mention where I grouped all cultures in Africa as African culture. I clearly said African cultures in all my posts on this subject.

I can see you're hallucinating.

Ask your people at home that "what are the good aspects of the Ibo culture (an African culture) worthy of emulation?"

No dey ask me silly questions on Nairaland. I no get time

Here comes the caveat, this woman despite being a very vocal champion of "African culture" is an open homosexual. A lesbian with a married Nigerian female partner. A phenomenon which is looked upon as largely " unafrican". But this doesn't stop her from championing the African cause which is why I'm curious as to your views, seeing as you're also irreligious but largely afrocentric.
That's a very weird misconception I have seen a lot of time. Homosexuality was prevalent amongst certain African tribes before the coming of Eastern religion to Africa. Another misconception I see is Africans always saying dressing indecently or dressing in revealing clothing is not an African culture when Africans through out history have always worn little clothing due to the hot climates in the region.

Na me go dey educate you about the good sides of your Ibo culture or it's the good sides of the Yoruba culture you want to know.

So, I should start showing you the good sides of over 1.4 billion people in a region.

No need. All Africans are backward, savage, and barbaric.

"African history is useless and has no value. I don't rate African cultures, they're barbaric and savage."

That's what he said on this thread. Now, he don change my mouth.

The Africans shouting about homosexuality all about, especially the Christians may even be shocked to learn about the history of homosexuality in Christianity and in Africa.

According to Otem, Yeshua, who was the black African the Romans invented the fictional Jesus Christ from, was the first gay person on this planet.

Some early Christians even copied this act from Yeshua and passed down the practice to some so-called reverend fathers in the religion.

Many hidden secrets in religion, many hidden histories in the Vatican City.

Anyway, homosexuality is natural like those of us that are straight.

Homosexuality, bisexuality, heterosexuality, etc. are all natural sexual practices that animals engage in, whether higher animals like humans, or lower animals like bats.

Interesting paper by the top astronomer, Prof Avi Loeb: https://www.space.com/alien-mothership-lurking-in-solar-system-pentagon-official-suggests

Otem claims the ETs that gave him those histories have eyes in the sky which are surveillance technologies, ships, or UFOs they built to mimic the shape of stars so they don't scare humans.

Watching out for the discoveries that'll be made in space science on UFOs and ETs in the years ahead.

@Larride/ Oasis (I no sabi which one u dey use dis days)

What is the political future of Hakeem M. Okunola? I have said it here before that he is one of favorite administrators/ politician.

Do you see Asiwaju taking him to Abuja or would he continue with the Civil Service/ Lagos politics? I’d like to see him in a bigger role soon.

I like Hakeem tbh but I doubt he will get the ticket though it seems he’s being groomed for it. Tick all the boxes.

But I think he’s from the same Lagos Island LG as Gov Sanwo-Olu (I’m not entirely sure), if so that will work against him because it won’t be fair to all other part of the state.

Definitely not going to Abuja. 😂

Apart from the usual faces, the person I want to go to Abuja is Lagos State commissioner for health, Prof Akin Abayomi. The man is good and sound. Just maybe we might see improvements in our health sector.
