Captain of Nigeria's Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa has now earned the most Nigerian international caps after playing against Guinea-Bissau in Nigeria’s second leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Monday, March 27, IGBERETV reports.

The Nigerian national team defeated the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau by 1-0 at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.

Ahmed Musa made his Eagles debut in 2010 and was a member of the 2013 Nations Cup-winning team. Following Monday's match he has now amassed 108 caps, breaking the previous record for Nigeria.

Following this achievement, he has matched the 108 national caps held by England’s Tim Cahill, Germany’s Jurgen Klinsmann, and France’s midfielder Zinedine Zidane while surpassing Patrick Vieira’s 107 international caps for France, and Frank Lampard’s 106 caps for the Three Lions of England.

Musa has scored 16 goals for the national team, since his debut . The Nigerian forward is also Nigeria’s highest scorer in the World Cup with four goals.
