My own experience in a passage house was when I came to Benin city. I never had this kind of experience in my life. After my project in school I left my father's house to come Benin city to hustle for my life too. I was squatting with a family when I newly came but when I noticed that I have started overstaying my welcome I decided to just go and rent a room in a passage house so that I can remove my burden over them and also to give myself some privacy.
To cut the story short, I relocated to the room with just a new carpet I bought, of course, that was how it would be because I was a stranger to the city; no mattress, no fan, nothing, just carpet and my school bag. Although, I painted the room very well because I don't like seeing wall's scratches and dirts they irritate me .
On my first day I was indoor throughout even it was in the night I went to the toilet to ease myself. But when I was indoor I heard one of the tenants wife saying that "this our new neighbor no dey come outside abi na Eleha him be".
Another woman added to her statement that make she no mind me E fit be shy-shy na hin dey worry me. Hmmm, I just dey low-key for my room dey hear everything sooteey Dem talk reach say I no Carry anything come inside the room, that make E no be say I be reincarnation.
On my second day I came outside I greeted people and they were looking at me like- this one na Ajebo oo. . Passage house too funny I swear . The room that face me stays a single mother she has one small girl. And the lady is beautiful, gentle and likes indoor too. She behaves literate too unlike others I like rolling with her. Before you know they carried the rumors that I don dey f*ck the lady.
I know well about electrical works because of that my landlady used to call me in to her room to rectify some electrical faults which sometimes takes me times, because of this also they said I don dey Bleep my landlady. Them say I never reach 3months I Don dey do pass myself. Although my landlady too no dey help matter anytime I'm rectifying electrical faults In her room she would just stay with me even if takes 3hrs to finish up she would stay and she was at her early 40s then. It was later I got to know that she has skeleton in her cupboard for me. Passage house Taya me

As I see passage house, I know say na Benin. Well, for St. Saviour that year, our caretaker na native doctor and na him wife they feed am but he still they beat am ontop. It was all rosy at first as the man na morocco don. Na when I start to dey bring my men naim epa wan dey form shaking head. He say before any guy crash for my place, he gats talk to the person parents first. I no waste time collect refund of the 3 months where remain. The mayee still dey with my chair and fan but him daughter kitten suffice sha.

Face me I face you apartment isn't for lily-livered people. Back then in Ajegunle, son of man see and hear things. Despite greeting all the compound women, being nice to them and going my own way, they still used my matter as a topic.

Two women were quarreling among themselves and one still managed to bring my matter. She told the other one that; 'Una go just dey speak yeye English, dey carry book for head as if people wey go school for this compound don see work'.

I only get one night experience inside passage house for surulere. I be dey on transit to Accra frm pH, my flight from Lagos to Accra was by 7am so I had to pass the night at my cousin's place. As I land him area my cousin hint me say him don yarn him neighbors Dem say I want enter London the next day . Omo see my celebrity stardom for few hours, na like 4 of the neighbors enter him room to come see the London boy. The next day early in the morning was the worst brush experience I had...dey brush teeth arnd 4am inside gutter wey u dey avoid the water to splash back.
