Other versions of the bible call it the 'Passover', not Easter. The festival of the Passover is a Jewish tradition that predates the birth of Christ, so calling it 'Easter' will be an anachronism

As a catholic based on your comment and you are still asking this question it means you don't believe in your faith. Why not go to where you don't have any doubt about their doctrine. The catholic church don't eat meat on Good Friday which is the church doctrine but they don't force it on any person.

I fasted from meat throughout the lenten period..
I couldn't fast from food but since I enjoy eating meat and taking wine I decided to fast from both.

Abstaining from meat on good friday is just a tradition of the church. As Jesus shed his blood on the cross of calvary on good Friday, they decide to keep away from any thing blood today in commemoration of Jesus death. It has nothing to do with christianity. It is just a tradition

But I Don't eat meat today.
