emmanuelewumi: Okay, I see. A Bulk of the underlying assets of Stanbic is Treasury Bills. I have also observed that their MMF rates mirror that of Treasury bills 1 Like |

Regardless of what you bid for,the stop rate decided is what every one gets if your bids fall within that range. The bank sells to you at secondary market and makes a spread freeman67: |

MeezPat: I think you ain't right. JAMB cut off point applies here. Stop rate is the cut off point but it spell the maximum rate so all below that rate is accepted and all above fails. Your bank might bid 9% when stop rate is 15%, you will get your 9% and another gets 14% if that was his bid. Experts in the house, throw more light, thanks 2 Likes 1 Share |

You are right. You get the rate you bid at auction for TBills (as long as it is lower or equal to the stop rate).. NOT the stop rate. RayRay06677: |

I'm loving this pump. Hope it fires up or least remains stable. I need to pull off MMF to TB. Although FBN quest has been doing well with their rates 1 Like 1 Share |

Abeg Who get the result of this week's auction? Stanbic is already telling customers that they didn't succeed and are willing to only give customers 364 from their secondary market @ 11.5%. The list CP I have done for this period is above 15% why then will I just go with their Secondary Market when I can move to Other bank or invest in CP. |

Rate will futher drop ! Kindly lock in now! The CBN wants to wipe out funds in dormant accounts and invest same in treasury bills and bonds . with this move the cbn can offer any rate and automatically placed those funds perpetually there since must dormant accounts are held by dead persons . Imagine the number of person killed yearly in Nigeria with small small sum in their accounts without any body coming to ask . In a fair game the CBN SHOULD MANDATE BANK TO CONTACT NEXT OF KIN OR OPEN A DESK OFFICE TO FIND THE NEXT OF KIN. 850 bn is what the cbn intend to min from this accounts 15 Likes 1 Share |
