Hi all,

Please a friend of mine is trying to apply for his student visa to Canada but he is going to be sponsored by his mentor who has a completely different surname.

Please can anyone advice on the best way to go about proof of funds. Should he use gift deed or what can he do?

He intends to pay a major part of his tuition but he still needs something to show as POF.
Any suggestion or recommendation will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Some people have used third party sponsor and has gotten their visa approved whereas some got denied. If you can prove beyond doubt that the person has sponsor him at one point of his career then you’re good ( your sop is goin to treat that) my advice will be , let the sponsor make a deposit of tuition fee (probably the first semester fee), then the sponsor should deposit the remaining school fee balance plus maintenance fee to applicant bank account, he should go for a gift deed

Good talk, what if they sent the money to someone account and use description like pmt for uncompleted house or landed property and use documents to back it?

Can that fly

Ketima:

Hello,

Now let me come from the age angle and your brother being your full sponsor. Some 40 year old Canadians are already grandma whose kids are already on their own. So VO judging from that angle of you using your brother as your full sponsor even when you have kids, it will make him think you're not established.

So i would suggest he be a kind of support. That is you already have your own funds and he is only supporting instead of being the full bearer of the financial burden. So please have your own fund, let him be a support.

Many a times, when a married person with kids uses a relative for full sponsorship, is not just about the school now but they will be wandering how will this person now be able to care for his/her family and how will his/her family survive when another person will pay his/her fees. Will the same person feed his or her family.

So try to boast your own account if you're an adult and married applicant with kids.

Wow, that's relatively cheap! But have you checked if you would need a transit visa to transit on Schengen soil? If so, have you gotten one. Cos, you won't be allowed to board and your money may waste if you don't have it.

If you do not have an appointment, they won't let you enter, check their website and give them a call or chat them up with the challenges you are having.

If you've gotten the message/mail that your passport is ready for collection then go to VFS with the required documents at the proper time (it was 8-10 when I collected not sure what it is now) and you will be attended to

Good day to you all.
Pls which provinces has lowest tuition fees in Canada?
I recently got an admission to Fanshawe for an Undergraduate course for Jan2024 but my sponsor said the tuition fee is much…she told me to look for budget under 10-15kcad…,now Fanshawe is asking for 8300cad as tuition deposit but she said it’s too much.
Note: she is in Ontario
I’m just unhappy at the moment….

So if I can find low tuition in other provinces, maybe it can be of help….thank you.
you can possibly try trebas institute Quebec. They also give scholarships
