Well he is the "WORD of God" {John 1:1} and nobody gets anything from God if not through Jesus {John 14:6} so read chapter 1:1 of Revelation again and think of anything John could have received or seen without Jesus been the one showing him!

Now you are not making a reasonable point. We know that no revelation from Genesis to revelations could be received without Jesus Christ that's not the argument. We are simply telling you that John received a vision, he was not told a parable.
