Have you ever lived in Europe? I have lived in Europe and some African countries including Nigeria. The type of loneliness, rejection, discrimination and pressure you face in Europe, you can never face anywhere in Africa as an African. They're their because life back home is nothing to write home about and Europe offers more opportunity so they chose to stay behind at the expense of their mental health - talking from experience
Provided you have money here to pay rents and feed your children and wife. If not you are a dead man

Yea, Nigeria would have worked if Obi's mandate was not manipulated and stollen by your tribesman whose only interest is just to bear that title "president" like Buhari.

Nigeria will never work in our own time, never. Except the mandate is returned to it's rightful winner, nothing will work.

My advice, remain in the UK if you know what is good for you because we here are about to enter from frying pan to fire.

The most important thing about one's country is how happy and contented one is with one's country, not how rich or big one's country is. This fact has eluded black Africans in Nigeria.

The far north Nigeria needs the resources in the south and access to the Atlantic ocean in the south. For the southern Nigerians, it's either they all die in one dysfunctional and most insecure Nigeria or emigrate to foreign countries, as the far north religious extremists make the whole of Nigeria more and more insecure.

And how many average people do save up a good pension or complete their mortgage payments?

I don't have stats but if you grew up in this country and started working at age 22, even if it is an average job, by age 65, you should have completed mortgage payment and have a reasonable pension. Completing mortgage would mean that your outgoings post retirement will be little.

Buffalo is a nice place. Upstate NY generally isn't congested. Life there is also affordable.

But the 4hrs work no be beans grin

For me then, it was not factory/warehouse work. Mine was Residential Support Worker in a home owned by the company I worked for. I was doing night shift, 9pm-7a.m. We had a Young person of 15 years old who the UK govt had taken away from her family because of the emotional abuse she was experiencing with her family.

The home was a 3 bedroom duplex, one bedroom was for the young person, the second was the office, while the third was the sleep -in for staff then downstairs was the sitting room, kitchen, conservatory, laundry room.

I showed up at 8.45p.m, to take over from the 2 day staff as one went home while the second sleeps in the sleep-in room as my backup incase there was an emergency during the night and that person was paid extra £45 to sleep in that house that night while I was awake throughout the 10 hours shift, every 30 mins I was recording in the logbook that the young person is in her bedroom sleeping while I cross my leg in the sitting room watching Netflix and going into the kitchen every one hour to get a mug of hot tea to keep awake and fill the required paperwork before 7a.m😂😂😂😂

Speak on your situation, don't brush them off as senseless. A life where you eat, work, Bleep, eat, sleep, work, without an active social life and circle can lead to depression for some.

Exactly. Very depressing places to be. I pray Nigeria work in our time

Plot twist: The reason you guys "enjoy" social life in Nigeria is because Nigeria doesn't work. Imagine not being able to answer calls at work here or as a civil servant not being able to ask people to wait on a queue just for you to be eating lunch or gisting with colleagues. cool cool

Not being able to show off at parties by spraying cash or showing up with police escort blasting guns and siren. cool

Nothing like connection for job from one uncle or senator..

The list goes on and on
Reason am well...

The depressing is as a result of lack of money. Oyinbo people are smart. They keep taking unsuspecting foreigners to do all their jobs and take nothing less than 40% tax on their earnings. You know if every taxable Nigerians were taxed, our own wailing go pass these people.

8 out of 10 japa-ed people will not be able save 1000 Pounds even after living in the UK for 20years! That's a fact....forget about the paparrazi and buga that dey do on social media.

They are fourth-class citizens in most these western countries.

Part of the problem is that the average Nigerians entertainment begins and ends with party and fk.

Books dey
Netflix dey
Video games dey.
Even Nairaland sef dey.

But the average Nigerian is into the most basic forms of entertainment, so here we are.
And they prefer looking for a sex mate on their day off instead of going out for site seeing and relaxing by the sea side or near a water fall.
Sometimes we are the ones that make life complicated.

Reminderz:
the way the system is designed is to keep the average people poor... it's the matrix.. you'll keep working and working and working while you forget yourself slowly... the taxes, the bills are designed in such a way you'll continue working as a slave till you die... this is why only until you break free from the matrix, and stop working as a slave, unlock your potentials that's when you start to enjoy life... but if you're still an NPC, doing what the average Joe does, you'll never amount to anything...

The Matrix, John Wick, Free City is trying to tell us the truth... but people aren't seeing it... When the guy in free city was still working as a slave (normal 9-5), he doesn't have time for himself or has any love life or any sources of income apart from that bank, he wanted to purchase a shoe with his salary, no matter how hard he works, didn't sustain him... until he was able to break free from the Matrix, that's when he started enjoying life and finally bought the shoe... most people are NPCs thinking they are free... it's a prison we design for ourselves and we night never break free because we are so dependent on the system, and powerful people made it so to keep the average person in control...

you may not believe it, but starting a good business in Nigeria is far better than oversees... at least for now... the taxes wahala, the laws to keep average people poor and in control, the bills, the known and unknown bills and restrictions ain't much here and you can easily scale up your business... but there.. you'll work and work and work and work till you have any sustainable income, and it will never be enough.... you need other sources of income, break free from the Matrix, think outside the box and stop consuming and doing what the average Joe does... most people think they are free or enjoying because they live in these cities that satisfies their illusions, but deep down, they are fvcking sad, depressed and tired... until you break free from your prison and anchors holding you down, you'll forever get stuck in this loop designed for the average person...

it is not about where you live or work, but how you live and work... people are still making it in this country till tomorrow, abi you want to tell me we don't have people suffering or homeless in overseas??.. it's about discipline, mindset and doing the right thing in order to win..
You are a very smart and intelligent dude, gathering experience for a while abroad isn't bad either, most successful people in Nigeria worked abroad or have stayed abroad for sometime like dangote, mike adenuga and some others. But that isn't even necessary today as we have the internet. I have been following andrew tate since ending of last year and to be honest some of his reveals about the world is mind blowing.

For ladies, loneliness creep in when you are 40 and above without a child. What most 9js single ladies do this days is to deceive the married ones to divorce, so the can have gidy partners around.
