Some people don't even understand the English word "AND".

And means "in addition".

What that means is that, in addition to 36 states there is still another place that is like a state (according to section 299).

Abuja has no special status in deciding who wins presidential election.

Section 299 of the constitution is fully in support and unambiguous.

Quote me section 137 (D) part 1, if you get mind?

Just try quote it here if eye nor turn you! Somebody who is supposed to be facing firing squad is somewhere saying rubbish.

Lol but US court said it wasn't a criminal forfeiture. grin

which US court, the one of 1990's this is an ongoing investigation, this is 2023! The US authorities should come out and share files that suggest Tinubu's forfeiture wasn't a criminal offense, who forfeits his assets if he/ she isn't against the law, the mere fact he forfeited assets to the US, is a pointer to intent or aborted criminal offense, I hope he didn't sign a NDA with the US govt at the time not to disclose details of his forfeiture , PO and the labour party should go lobby US for evidence for his criminal offense, if the want to win this case otherwise they re not serious

Will Supreme Court upturn its own apex judgment now?

Civil forfeiture.

The person that paid the money into his account was being investigated for drug related offences. So Tinubu forfeited the money in other to avoid further issues with US government.

So what, did the constitution of 1999 as amended give Abuja any preferential status?

No, other than that it could be regarded as a state of the federation.
So why does Abuja not have a governor

36 states and FCT. OR 36 states FCT. Which one is correct?

There are many legal hurdles lined up on your way to presidency even if you escape 25% constitutional requirement in FTC the Mount Everest evidence of $460,000 forfeiture of drug proceeds remains insurmountable.

let discuss this properly without grudges....

take for instance tinubu won in all the 36 states and loses FCT to Obi

in your own understanding of the 25%

NB
and if the election is to run again and tinubu still win over 30 states and loses FCT

what then happens

will you say they wont declare him or they keep the election going and going?

But when will you guys drop insult and wishes and face the reality of the situation? Why are you guys being unreasonable and forceful? You think the constitution will be interpreted to favour anyone? Besides, if the court decides Tinubu did not win does that make Obi that came 3rd the winner ahead of the 2nd placed candidate? May God give you guys some brain….Like Obidients like Trump supporters !!!

No mind the yeye people. They intend to confuse themselves with English.

People need to interpret that “and” in their respective languages for better clarity, if it is so difficult.

For example:

“My family and Alhaji were asked to visit Abuja tomorrow”. Does that not show that Alhaji is separate from my family and should go along with us in the trip?

If your brain is functioning, tell us the significance of 25% in FCT. So if a candidate wins all 36 states and did not get 25% in FCT, it means he can't be the president. If it was Obi that won all the states and did not make 25% in FCT, will you say the same thing?
