Good day everyone, please I need your input on getting my mum’s visitor’s visa right.
I am currently on a student visa in the uk and my BRP is valid for the duration of her stay.
Her purpose of coming is to meet her grandson for the first time and also bond with her family.
I will be sponsoring her and all her expenses will be cater by me, including flights, accommodation, daily living expenses.
My question is, since I will be attaching my statement of account that has sufficient funds to fund her visit, is there still need to upload her own statement of account? I ask this because there is a part of the application that says “ How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?”
I plan to use CAC docs as ties to home.
Please kindly advise

I don't think so. You're already standing as her sponsor. Your sufficient bank account statement is okay to use alone
Thanks for the response, the only hurdle I don’t know how to scale now is the part that ask how much will she personally be spending on the trip, I don’t know if that can be left empty

Hi guys! Is it allowed to state that my monthly income is for example " 400k" in my UK visit visa application.

And my monthly expenses is " 150k".

Were as in my account statement, the income is from like 3 different employers and it varies monthly depending on the assignment I rendered to the employers. Let say at times I get 350k in month A and 450k in B or 600k in month C.

Can I use like a fixed amount as monthly salary then explain in my letter that the amount I quoted monthly is my average since it varies by months.

I suggest you input the total cost of the trip.

That''s what I do for my children when I sponsor them.

Yes, you can. An average figure works. That's what I input for my husband because he is a businessman. It looks strange for someone in paid employment so you need to explain in great detail.

I’ll include her bank statement if I were you because some refusal letters people have pasted here stated they didn’t see any financial statement and could not assess what they have written on their forms and therefore went on to refuse. So it’s 50:50
Then you’ll be angry that you could have just put it. If you dont want to put too much, you can consider 2-3 months? ? Also you mention CAC documents as her ties to Nigeria. In my own opinion I dont think this is sufficient enough to stand as ties. Ties in what form? so do a thorough work from your end

For total cost and sponsorship of third parties- I used to put 0 until the forms stopped taking this. I now input 1 pound or 1 naira. Again all my opinion.

Please go and sit down.
I shared valid news which has been in various major news outlet including CNN and you're saying it's fake simply because it's your field?
I can now see you're part of the law making body in UK

Hello, If you will not comprehend the tact of ‘active recruitment’ which is the bane of what has been shared across news channels then I can not help you further.
I think I have done enough pro bono work for you. .. so quote me a million times you will be ignored. Just let the ones that are going after care or whatever jobs to leave Nigeria, be.
Misinformation is a huge misstep on this thread.
Cheers

Ok, thank you, I guess in your case your children are your dependants and as such your statement will be all that’s needed for them, in my case, if I put the total cost of the trip for her as the money she intend to spend personally, it then means her bank statement should somehow shows she can afford it

Thank you giselle, in your opinion, since I’m sponsoring her and have the financial requirements sufficiently met, can I then put for instance an amount that her bank statement can sufficiently take care of, say for instance the equivalent of £500 or may be 300,000NGN

she does not need to sponsor anything

hi guys,

I am back again.

I have been unable to book my flight for some days now because this airline keeps rejecting my Visa Gold card despite my name being on the card. I also entered all the card details correctly.

This is the same card that i used in payment of my visa fees earlier; so the card has no issues. (I notified FBN about the issue and they confirmed the card is fine).

Has anyone else encountered this problem, ever?

How were you able to sort it out?

Abeg, i need help o. Make people with such experience assist/advise biko.

Thanks.

Greetings Seniors
I have some enquiries on a way forward as my T2 visa was refused, on Friday, due to wrong ECCTIS EVALUATION which I will resolve by Wednesday. Please I'd like to know
1) If I can re-apply immediately as this is their only reason for refusal
2) If 1 is possible do I still need to re-fill application, re-upload same documents and re-do biometrics
3) They are still with my passport do I need to collect it back before re-applying

Same application form and documents you used to successfully apply for 6months ,2 years and/or 5years.

The only difference would be the visa fee.

£800 will cover your return ticket conveniently with about £300 change for spending money but would someone be accommodating you?.

Check-in now happens at the new terminal (luggage drop-off, collection of boarding pass and NIS stamps).

Source: Flown Qatar twice in last 6 weeks.

Once completed, you will move to the old terminal (both terminals are connected) where you board the plane & where it actually departs from.

Qatar doesn't fly from the new terminal.

Once you book a flight from Lagos to London via Qatar your luggage is checked in through to the final destination i.e. you will only pick up checked bags after going through immigration in London.

Thank you. I confirm your information is correct. This was my experience using Qatar Airways to UK and back from Lagos.
However I advise anyone who intends to transit to allow for 3 hours at least stop over in case the fight is delayed for any reason at departure. Also Doha airport is VERY BIG AND EXPANSIVE. You need time to walk, or take bus or metro train within airport to catch your connecting flight at no extra cost

Not necessarily. her bank statement is there to prove that she has some money of her own (the balance is irrelevant here). Her bank statement is not to prove she is sponsoring herself.

So, let me make this simple. When I sponsored my daughter, she was not my dependant. I did not list her as my dependant. She is an adult and she's working. I sponsored her cos she's still mummy's little girl smiley. Although I was her sponsor, she included her bank statement - as well as mine. That's the same scenerio with your Mum. You will sponsor her but let her add her bank statement. I hope this helps.

4 days too short in my opinion.

saving okay

Expense for trip okay.

Disposable income okay.

Trip can be increased to 10 days. Expense can be increased to 1,200 - 1,500

Monthly expenses should ideally be 500 or less.

My thoughts. Not necessarily an advise.

I assume this is not your first trip.

Use the same documents you've always used. Nothing special about 10 years visa - except the extra cost.

Good luck!

I think I should reduce the UK total proposed expenses to like £600 if I will be using 4days .... Or change the duration of stay to 7days and maintain £800 total expenses

600 Pounds is not likely to be enough to buy your ticket....

800 Pounds may buy your ticket but won't leave any money for other expenses...
