freeman67: When is the next treasury bills auction? I'm planning on moving funds from money market next week to bid on TBS primary market.. Also is it advisable to move large funds at once, is there any CBN regulations that prohibits such transaction? Bidding for 13.5, I hope it sail through. Thanks . |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by freeman67: 2:09pm On Apr 14, 2023 |
Foodempire: The next auction is on the 25th April 23. So long as it is electronic transactions and the source of the money is traceable and pure, CBN should not have any issues with it. The only place you may have issue is if your your mutual fund managers will release the money in time for you to meet up the bid. Eg. In stanbic the maximum redemption/withrawal am amount you can do online is 2.5 M. You can do more offline from their bank branches but that'll definitely take more time than the online stuff. The previous 2 auction stop rates were about 14.7. which many banks are claiming they do not succeed especially this last one. So I think your intended rate is ok to play safe. You should still understand that you can only bid by yourself if your funds is upto 50M.. Through Afrivest is 50M sha... 3 Likes |

zamirikpo:demand destruction. Decline profitability and investment!currently back log of payment for bridging claims from PEF. They are proposing CNG GAS with 10000 station as conversion points and refilling point as done in Cario. We are waiting for Bola tinibu and Dangote . 4 Likes |

VeeVeeMyLuv:we are looking at 0.8 usd x 460 = 380 or 0.8 x 750 =600 . Depending on how USD is allocated to Marketers .at 460 is another subsidies of forex prone to another round of abuse . AT 750 PMS = 600 per litre ( inflation , social unrest ,increase poverty ,demand destruction, divestment ) 6 Likes |

ahiboilandgas: I don't think FG can fully remove subsidy, not in this current Nigeria. There will be chaos everywhere, FG won't have choice than to reverse decision. The inflation will be out of the world, forex will likely reach 1k or more sef. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ahiboilandgas: 8:43pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
oluayebenz:in downstream interaction I have attend and a pro sociocapitalist .I fear the disaster it might cause to the suffering Nigeria public suffering multi dimensional and delusional poverty! So am against import based subsidy removal! The oil Marketers are to dangerous a group to have a field day with the Nigeria public ( his will slow fdi into the sector mid and long term ) bitter lesson learnt with deregulation of Deseal already pushing inflation . Wishful thinking. Sadly the Nigeria state doesn't have the wherewithal to afford the subsidies of PMS .we postponing our doom day .It seem we are living a lie we can't afford the cars on the road in Nigeria and in our homes ( 2 to 3 car per family) .curbing the corruption out of the subsides claims ( 60 to 100m litres daily ) digitalize the fuel stations to capture actual consumption .gradual removal |

ahiboilandgas: I think the government will wait until local refinery of petroleum products is up and running. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by oluayebenz: 10:34pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
ahiboilandgas: Yes we are postponing the doom day. The truth is Nigeria cannot fully removed subsidy just yet. Govt should better be removing it bit by bit until we have a running refinery that can refined enough pms for the nation. About the families with more than 3 cars, bros forget some people get money for this country, the problem is just that the poverty rate is too high, poor people supercede the rich and the middle class |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by zamirikpo(m): 6:29am On Apr 17, 2023 |
oluayebenz: Under normal circumstance refineries should be working whether we hv subsidy or not but their is nothing normal abt Nigeria...... Like ahib said the oil cabal are too powerful to leave us in their hands. Even this dangote refinery will not be allowed to function normally if it doesn't suit their interest. Gradual removal over a period is better,if not their would be pandemonium, deregulation of diesel vi's a viz forex wahala should be an eye opener. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by zamirikpo(m): 6:35am On Apr 17, 2023 |
ahiboilandgas: You mean they want to convert 10000 filling stations to cng stations. So we now hv to convert our cars and generators. Boss how are you preparing, what steps are you taking. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ahiboilandgas: 7:13am On Apr 17, 2023 |
zamirikpo:many are doing wait and see ! We are diversifying into LPG distribution ! Yes that the proposal the conversion kits will be installed at selected station! Rano is diversifying into airline , Shafa into LPG , MRS into lube and grease. This are more free markets. Unpaid way now exceeed 70 bn naira by pef people are waiting 7 months now . |
