I am sorry in advance because my question may appear stupid.
Anyway, my younger sister applied for BSc political science in the US. She has been offered admission. The tuition fees appears reasonable so I've accepted to sponsor her. Her resumption date is this August. House, can she meet up, please?

What are the next step for her. We have no idea of how to go about it or if she will even get interview date before August.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Greetings all,
Please is it necessary for me to write to the embassy due to change of school after a denial? Before I reapply for my Visa

After admission (and funding for those who need it), and you've decided where you want to go:

✅ Request for your i-20 from your school - this can be coloured or black and white as long as it's authentic. You'll usually supply details of passport page, ability to cover cost like funding letter or bank statement, etc. for this.

✅ Get the i-20. I'll suggest you request the e-copy even if the school wants to send hardcopy, so that you can use the details to book your visa interview while awaiting the hard copy. A4 printed of i-20 is acceptable at embassy. After i-20, the next 3 items can be in any order.

✅ Start filling your DS-160 form online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ . You can use this video as a guide when filling it: https://www.facebook.com/287980197932222/videos/318718789713853

✅ Create a CGI profile at https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-appointmentschedule.asp and pay for your visa fee. It costs $160 or the naira equivalent with GT Bank, and book your date at your desired location if an available one shows.

✅ Pay Sevis fee. You can create a coupon at fmjfee.com but someone in the US has to pay it for you. It costs $350, but there might be a $10 processing fee and people's dollar rates differ. So expect a wide range when converted. To be safe, the payment must be confirmed at least 72 hours prior to your interview.

✅ Prepare for your interview and ace it.✌🏻

✅ Book your flight. This can be done directly with the airline or a third party - I suggest a layover time of at least 2 hours at your port of entry (POE). While you should be careful with choosing a third party, they can be cheaper than direct airline bookings. However, prices largely vary depending on length of flight and layovers, class of flight (economy, business, etc.) and baggage size - check your airline baggage requirements. Economy flights are the cheapest, and flights generally get more expensive if you book it quite close to your departure date.

Good luck from Johanson.😊

Hi all,

I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I was invited to an event in USA, expenses of round-trip airfare, hotel, transport have been covered by the company hosting the event. I also have a letter of invitation which should be submitted with my Visa application.

From what I've read, my Visa category should be B-1 (Business, Visit)

However, I noticed on the embassy website that there is a COVID-19 vaccination requirement. I have not been vaccinated and if I do it tomorrow, the timeframe from tomorrow to the day of travel would be 7 days. But the requirement of the status "fully-vaccinated" stipulates that anyone intending to enter the US by air must have been vaccinated at least 14 days prior to travel.

Does this mean I cannot attend this event, or is there an exception I should know of?

Thanks for your replies!
go get vaccinated and then try your luck

Hi Gurus, please urgent help needed.

Applied for f1 visa, interview next week but my intl passport got missing.

Not sure what step to take next.

Do I reschedule my interview appointment and get a new passport? Also if I do, how do I reconcile the new passport that I’d get. Would it be an issue.

Please I need a comprehensive support/answer urgently. Thank you.

Hello guys, my brother and her family (wife and kid, age 20months) applied for usa f1&f2 visas. The husband got fully funded phd program(school fees waiver and will get monthly stipends) He also has about ₦8.5m savings. The wife also has a good job.
My question ;
They intend going for the interview together.
What are the likely questions for f2 applicant?
Course is 5 years and she intend to be with her husband till the end of the program.
