So, there's a trending news item on social media where Okocha said in an interview that he'd be worth €150m in today's transfer market... Do you guys agree with him?

Personally,I think it's an exaggeration..

He would actually cost a lot but not up to 150. 100 maybe...

From a mathematical and statistical point of view, sports betting has no formula. I deal heavily on algorithms and this i can certainly narrate.

I will like you to provide me any kind of link or resource to the stories you have narrated. I will have some verifications to do.

Can't give verifications of my friends. Just will tell you one has a big hotel at Rumuigbo, and the other has Apartments in choba and a commercial complex at Aggrey road Port Harcourt. They are my Good friends but I am closer to the later.

As for the system that was shared on one of the betting threads, I don't have time to research the link
Maybe later. But, this was the slip of the person that went out of line for the arrangement and hit big. He was a participant on the thread.

https://www.nairaland.com/4484301/lucky-bet9ja-customer-wins-over#67230432

Maybe later I will check it the link is there but many people hit with the system but this win led to the closing of the option.

By the way, Mayor of Ekiti on Twitter is another absolute monster of big wins. There was a time he had a group of about 50 guys hitting millions.

With Okocha's quality with the ball, I believe he would be worth about that. He had immense ability. He would have likely played as a wide forward and I bet he would do far more than Grealish can operating wide. So I agree it is possible if utilized in the right way.

Yes it's an exaggeration that he would cost that much but then again if average talents today are being bought for ridiculous amounts like $90-100m I see no reason why a generational talent like Okocha won't command a far higher amount.

Remember at his peak JJ was bought for an African record. How much do you think it will cost to break the record for an African transfer?

Personally I think it's 99% possible.

If we take into account many factors including his age and inflation, Okocha is right.

Let's analyse

Okocha made his big move from Fener to PSG at age 24 for £14 million.
About 30 days before his transfer, a new world transfer record was set for Denilson to Europe for £21.9 million.
So Okocha''s transfer fee was 64% of the world record fee.

This means that in today's market, considering age remains constant, Okocha will cost 64% of Neymar's transfer of €222 million.

This amounts to €142.1 million. Okocha was precisely correct.

Remember Okocha was signed a year after O Fenômeno: Ronaldo set a world transfer fee of 19.5m (just 5.5m difference). And R9 was way younger at the time (21).

In today's market bro. How much does Mudryk cost again? Jack Grealish? Enzo?
It is not about the value but the inflation.

Okocha is an average footballer with no end product.
He is a magician but with no end product in today’s game honestly he won’t worth more than €30 mill

Because no team with a wining mentality will allow his play style maybe bring him on at 80mins to kill time and showboat

No let flash and sparks deceive you my friend

Okocha has done absolutely nothing to warrant a 150mil price tag in todays market.

Is it to dribble play shot from midfield and miss ?

Ronaldinho would worth 1billion is okocha is worth 150

Make we see truth talk na

We all know what type of midfielder and attacker a top team needs an okocha has never been that type of player. Can you say it with your full chest that if he were in Ronaldinho position he would perform equally or more ?

There is a reason why sports betting is predict and win, it is because of the uncertainty of outcomes, at such you have no formula, just the likelihood of an outcome, and then gambling on such likelihood.

I have seen the story you provided the link to. I do not doubt the possibility of such wins.
Even from the story you can see clearly that it is about trial and luck.

A working formula is different from luck.

If you read backward on that thread, you will see other people winning with the system. Bet9ja took out the option because the probability of winning big is high. In such a position, it was the winning formula for the person who won it, and those that benefitted at that time.

Others have winning formulas that work for them. If a person does not have such formulas, it becomes trial and luck.
