Nice but your profit will come at an extremely slow and lesser rate than it should be. Come to me in Delta State I will sell you broodstock so can have good fast growth rate fish for quick sales or buy Juveniles or fingerlings and get your huge profit in 4 months. I am an Agriculturist but I find cropping extremely boring, before you start getting profits from your goats or cows in 3 years Poultry/Fish farmer has made millions 3x under 1 year Nothing like livestock farming especially in fishery, rabbit and snail farming!. Look into those areas 4 Likes |

ntyce: Your perception is not correct sir. Nigeran goats are reared EXCLUSIVELY for milk production in the USA. It is a massive industry and Nigeran goats are the all-time favorite among goat farmers there. It is so ironic that Nigeran farmers with money to waste are buying South African goats for 500k naira each when Nigeran pygmy goats can be bought young for just 12K naira each. 21 Likes 2 Shares |

adamix: Do you rear the cows for milk, meat or both? Grass fed raw cow's milk is liquid gold. From raw cow's milk, one can produce butter, cream, cheese, among others. By the way, I like your farm. 4 Likes |

Commercial Agriculture is difficult in northern areas especially the extremely lucrative Fish farming. I must have made enough millions first to ever consider rearing cattle n other Ruminants which I will realize the profits in 3-5 years time. Here in south we fish farmers realize profit almost every day and huge profit every month end. Everyday farmers order for broodstocks, fingerlings and juveniles, on the month end marketers come to buy adult fish of 1kg+ at harvest after 4 months of stocking. Northerners can't do fisheries because they don't have water, Rocky lands. 2 Likes |

Nice work sir, congratulations to you....I have similar project in mind. Mine will be a pig farm and poultry farm and ofcourse there will be room for goats and cattle in the coming years. For now, I am working on the feeding. I have a farm of cassava, soybeans and maize.... specially to that effect. My question is, are the seedlings some form of grass for feeding them when they grow? Thank you π adamix: |

Jakumo:Please kindly make an update and tag me, when you start milking the goats. I'm in the process of building a goat pen at my farm, currently I have 7 goats at the backyard farm, which I plan to move to the main farm once the pen is completed. I'm interested in milking them. Also where can I get the milking machine and any idea of the price for both manual and electric type? Thanks. 1 Like |

SoftHeart: Will do. The goats are in good health but they are infested with fleas. If anyone can recommend a safe chemical that can be applied with a backpack sprayer, I'd be grateful to hear about it. I would like to eliminate those fleas completely before I start milking the goats. |
