My advice is that you quickly find another location to travel to. If indeed the narrative of a trip to reward you for hardwork is true, then ideally your dad would be sending you elsewhere. Please try placed with more lenient visa processes such as Morocco , Egypt, etc and after sometime reapply sharper! All the best

Thanks, I was targeting UK as with the visa I could be visiting other countries. My company is having a retreat at Montenegro and the Serbian embassy is not functioning, so I was looking to attend it with a UK valid visa.

I understand how u feel and even though the ECO didn’t state it there are other reasons why they just don’t believe in ‘you’
Its a guess thing they do.. trying to guess who will return or not and unfortunately your documents and the whole feel of your application were not convincing enough to them hence the refusal. U also state u didn’t have a leave letter, this also shows how the whole thing looks..
how will the embassy assist u? If you are employed, at least they should be able to say they have no objections and you are on leave.. it’s because of how things work in the UK and I’ll like to add should work… then u say ur company pays u in crypto.. the probability of your genuineness was not well transposed to them. Sorry.
Find another location and do your travels to as it was a reward from your father. That way even when you reapply un the future, your travel during this time will serve as an alibi to your statement now. It would show ooh you really did take a trip that was a reward..
then learn more about where you are going, in your cover letter I didn’t get the feel of tourism at all.. u made general submissions about why you chose the UK.. nothing to hit at the interest of the ECO that ohh this one has researched so much and is dying to take this trip.. this is only my opinion. All the best

Yeah thanks a lot, I'll go to Kenya for ETHSafari to help build my travel history. Also I plan to visit Ghana too. For the crypto own, I'll have to get an account so I can make the transfer regular and uniform.

You need to keep things simple. Work out how many workplaces you will want to disclose you earn income from and stick to it? (Although I think this ship has sailed)

Getting angry that you were ignored up until you had a rejection isn't going to help solve anything. We are prospective applicants and past applicants like you, and frankly some of our opinions at the end of the day won't hold water.

The onus is always on you to clearly explain your circumstance without reasonable doubt

Sure, I am not angry just upset. Yesterday was a really bad day for me, got extorted by the police on my way to the airport only to see a rejection letter too.

To clean up your finances, just open another separate bank account and make that the one you will be receiving only your alleged income from your disclosed work where you are an employee. Forget all this crypto lodgements you are doing you will have to use your dad's company to be paying you your monthly contractual salary from the company's bank account with the name of the company clearly visible in the transaction as the depositor. Frame up a nice letter headed employment letter showing acrued salary per annum and basic salary per month after tax.

The crypto lodgements can continue to accumulate in your own personal account and you can be giving it to your father to dump into the visa bank account you are building on a particular fixed day of the month as indicated by your employment letter

Do that for 4 to six months then apply again.

It's not about not telling lies. You can frame up a white lie to better improve your chances to get this visa. Alot of ppl here lie from how much we earn per month to relative rising cost of dollar to how long we intend staying in booked accomodation in UK when you reach. The important thing is to lie well.

Thanks for the advice.

So sorry for the refusal. To be honest, your financial affairs are quite complex - at least to me.

Unfortunately, the visa officers hardly calm down to fully understand many things presented to them. They form an opinion very early and it takes a lot to change their initial opinion. Some people have commented already so I won't overflog the issue.

Personally, I believe holiday for one month is too long. What exactly will you do in the UK for one month? Especially as it's your first time. You planned to stay with a friend for one month? Doing what exactly? Next time, I suggest you reduce the duration of your holiday to maximum of two weeks. I usually insert 10 - 14 days in my visa forms. It gives the impression that you have more important things to do in Nigeria and can't afford to stay in the UK for too long. Good luck next time.

The summary of the matter is I've been trying to attend Zuzalu (https://zuzalu.city), which is happening at Montenegro. It's a work related conference and we are to have a work retreat. Last retreat was in Portugal and I missed out on it due to school.

Unfortunately, Serbia embassy (https://www.gov.me/en/diplomatic-missions/embassies-and-consulates-of-montenegro), which processes for Montenegro is some countries said they stopped receiving application from Nigeria since May last year. I can visit the country with a valid UK visa, that's why I wanted to get the UK visa this month.

It's a very important event to me as it's going to push me career wise a lot but omo, Nigeria and im wahala.

I need you to spevifically respond to this.

If one get to that part of the form,

That says.

How much do you personally intend to spend in the UK?

If the applicant is not adding 1kobo, should they enter the amount the sponsor is commiting?

Please clarify this aspect, because i noticed it confuses people alot here especially the ones applying with Sponsors

Also I need clarification for this, because this is actually a company sponsored trip to Montenegro. However as I was going through UK, I decided to make it a visit (I actually have people I want to visit in the UK too) and use my account as the sponsor so as not to stress my company.

How many of you heard of EAV?

East Africa Sticker visa allows you to enter Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda mutiple times.

This kind of visa is usually issued on arrival in Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta.

For more information on processing, Contact https://accounts.ecitizen.go.ke/login

First timers and other categories can use this to open their passports.

cost about a hundred usd.

Goodluck all.

You can also try a schengen short stay
visa. Italy or France, since holders of Schengen visas can also visit this Montenegro according to what you shared. I personally prefer Schengen visa applications to UK. France only requires three months bank statements and their TAT is usually less than 3 weeks. Problem now is, availability of appointment for first time travelers as the closest available date was already in June as at last week.

Hi everyone. Please what sort of evidence can an undergraduate in Nigeria who is applying to visit the UK attach to prove his student status. My younger brother has just been refused because we didn't supply enough evidence. Just an ID card and an IT letter from school was submitted. The second reason for refusal is that he didn't show evidence of his financial status. I'm attaching the refusal letter. If you have experience in this sort of application, could you please advice us. Thank you

The 1000gp is the total for his trip including flights which answers the question of how much are you personally spending. However, i have said i will sponsor him with the whole amount in the application and there is enough money in my account . He didn't show his bank statement at all since he won't be spending any money from his own savings. He is just a student. Thanks

Even when you are sponsoring, the applicant still has to show financial statements. It was clearly stated

Oga agent, reason it out with him

The fact you said you intend to spend 1000 GBP is the issue why it was brought up. 1000 GBP of whose money? If you are being sponsored the amount you should have put in there was zero naira.

You are a student, demonstrate your attendance of your school. grin maybe they need you to sign attendance sheet from your class rep, grin Your school's semesters curriculum, exam dates all these I believe ought to demonstrate attendance. What do you think will demonstrate your standing as a student best

You don't just go to any state authority and run it. It's either you go to your own state where it was authorized or Abuja HQ

I'm not an agent please. I applied for my bro. And it was zero I put, maybe you misunderstood. I have applied for my parents so many times without issues. His case is just different being a student hence why I have come for advice here. Will a departmental letter suffice as an evidence? I know attendance may be difficult to prove in a school like OAU. Please your suggestions are needed..what other things can he get as a proof. And he may not have enough in his account , can he still submit his bank statement like that? Thank you for your input

give details of how much money you are planning to spend on your visit to the UK. This should be a number

How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?

Those who have entered zero before should guide you on how to do it.

Hmmm these oyibo ppl know wetin dem dey reason. He is not working so He doesn't need to put his own bank statement else another question will pop another can of worms open. Focus on relationships with whom he is going to meet and what will certainly bring him back to Nigeria. Has he traveled out to anywhere before or you can arrange quick short trips to make his passport look fat with travel history atleast for the time being.

That area of money to spend put one dollar or one naira. Even the budget put zero since someone else is providing for him
