People don dey add tribal coloration to this news. There are other Africans who are also stranded in Sudan, they can claim to be Nigerians, the coordinator was very clever.

To those asking about, what about their passports, it be like some of una never witness ordinary street fight before not to talk of war. Would you even think of your belongings in such situation?

Again nice one

They might be other reasons why origin is important. This ur reason is dumb. BTW, not everything U defend and try to act intelligent. Rest and hope for the best.

Do you think Allen Onyeama is flying them home for free, he's a business man.Just asking.
At least my brother he didn't charge Nigeria government for the one he did for Nigerians in South Africa. Secondly, he never asked for money to bring Nigerians in Sudan home. Unlike the useless APC that is already talking about money ($1m) before bringing them home.

I saw this one Twitter and I have been wondering the rationale behind it. I thought the aim was to get them out of Sudan and back to Nigeria? So how exactly will separating them according to their state of origin[not even residence, which still doesn't make sense ] help?

Someone that knows better should educate me abeg.

There is no sense in this. If you don't want anyone left behind to feel he or she was abandoned because of his/her state or tribe then the best way to go about it is to let everyone board as Nigerian citizen without mentioning tribe or state in the process.

Don't think in reverse please.

Ok they did it so thay Igbos can be left behind. Go and protest in Sudan.

f you want them out of there and home safely then your priority should be to hurriedly get them out of a war zone. So pray tell, what exactly is the reason they boarded the buses according to their states of origin.

Are the flights all leaving from the same airport?... Are they all going to the same destination in Nigeria? It's no different than everyone meeting at the bus park and boarding the bus that goes closest to his destination. Who's from the North will board the bus for those from the North ... the bus will take them to the plane that will land in the North..... same with others from other States. Makes sense to me.

Do they have 37 buses, i.e one bus for each state and the fct?

Or will the buses continue going back and forth 37 times even if some state buses are not filled to capacity during their own turn?

Can Abike and the fools supporting this rubbish make it make sense?? Will Air Peace also fly them to Nigeria according to their states of origin?

APC has really destroyed this country.
,

On our federal and private forms when you see "state of origin" kindly tick nil,

Even basic common sense will tell you there's something called line management. even in elections votes are sorted before being counted.

Common sense

why Can't you see from the positive angle ? how about if they drop every body in Lagos airport and you are from Borno? or maybe drop everybody in kano and you are from lagos ? imagin how you will go home ? the idea is they want to know your state so that they can drop you to the nearest airport to your state , but Africans in general and Nigerians in particular have a very corrupts ,ungrateful ,and negative mind thinking.

Most Governors would welcome their indegeneous people home with some start up package and money

During the Ukrainian crisis and repatriation .

Each Passenger would be profiled and processed by immigration based on their Passport and state of origin or place of birth

Someone up there said $1,200,000 million is too much to evacuate 3000 people just to berate the Government

$1.2m/3000 = $400 per head

#180k per citizen

Feeding

Lodging

Security

Logistics

48hrs

.
Oyo state indegenes got some money with the Office of the Deputy Governor..

My guy why defending these so called politicians. The $1.2m is only for transportation and doesn't including their feeding. My concern is that a private sector has volunteered to help but because of ego and tribalism they are wasting this money. Why not allow the private sector and then give this money to the Nigerians for their loses

There’s nothing ungrateful about that. It’s actually suspicious doing that....after all Abike supported Fashola when he dumped people at Onitsha head bridge. Akwa Ibom and Enugu state people were left at Onitsha to find their ways home. How much would it have cost Fashola and Lagos state government to take them back home to Enugu and Uyo?

There will always be nepotism and favouritism when people in crisis situation are segregated like that.

it might be to organise them to their states or for accountability and documentation purposes.

why are u reading more into it?

ur state if residence can change at anytime bt ur state of origin is permanent. So it makes better sense.

DonBenny77:
It means "one Nigeria" is bull's shit!
Priority will be the northerners as usual

How? State if origin is for documentation and accountability to their states. If anything happens its ur state if origin they will use to identify u after ur nationality.

BossGerald:

What are the tangible reasons if not for the division and tribal bigotry that evil Apc government is known for?

Think about this, in my uni days, there was civil unrest in the country and a lot of students union government members went to town to riot, on their way they were ambushed by police riot squad end were arrested, taken to the station and the next day they decided to release them because they were students, the police had to interview each student to confirm they are really students because at that time hoodlums had already hijacked the riot and we're mixed with the people arrested, one particular thug made every laugh so hard when they asked him the name of his faculty, he said faculty of student and that's how they separate the thugs from the students. On this case too, a dangerous militant or spy might want to join them if they don't identify them by state apart from the fact that their state government will receive them and give them some money to help them settle a little which is better for them. My point, having a victim mentality and viewing everything with suspicion is a sign of inferiority complex, you don't expect you deserve any good thing so you read everything upside down, obedients are known for this and that's why you hate so much, start loving yourselves.
