Yeap. Those ropes harbor bacteria. When you cop new ones, the threads are white and clean, use the beads for a month without removing them, then check the threads again, you would see debris hanging therein, even the threads would have got discolored(brown). So on this premise, waist beads aren't hygienic, I see people who use them as unhygienic. Also from the spiritual angle, most of those beads are possessed, wear them and open yourself up to attacks. Some find it hard to conceive after wearing shiny beads they bought from aboki. Some of these beads even disappear mysteriously from the waist upon wearing them...look, life is deep.

Personally I am not a fan of it; based on the fact that I don’t know if it is fortified or not. However I do no not find it attractive. But if you love it and your partner also loves it then it’s fine
