My husband is currently a student in UK, I'm in Nigeria. I'm resuming School in UK this August as well and we wish for my husband to switch to a dependent visa. How do we go about that?
1. Do we apply at the same time, I in Nigeria, He in UK?
2. Do I apply first, get my visa then he applies?
3. How long does it take to switch from student to dependent visa take in the UK?
4. Must he have switched to dependent before his current BRP ends in September, or he only needs to have applied for his new visa even if his new visa is not out yet?

1) pls I want to know if I can open joint account with my fiancee using her maiden name. This is to support prove of relationship with her as the wedding will still come up later before visa application. Will the surname not being thesame in the account raise concern?

2) pls which bank is best to open Dom account inorder to pay IHS and Visa. I mean bank that does not charge unnecessary on the dom account.?

3) Maybe For people in the UK, MA and spouse, can they live in shared accomodation or studio apartment. Or is there any rule against it. Remember no kid yet.

The best thing to do is to start another POF.

Tell the University the truth - you removed the money from your account.

I can't predict what will happen but I believe it is better to be honest. Pray for mercy and favour. Good luck!

Your POF is for your study in the UK, any other arrangements is full on deceit and will attract a 10year ban.

There's nothing that you can do except to provide an updated bank statement showing that the money is still in your account after being held for at least 28 days.
At this point, you'd need to put the money back and start the count afresh.

PCC is not necessary. DBS checks are what matters more in my opinion.

You could get it as an additional document if you choose to work in certain sensitive sectors

3. It depends 3weeks standard,it could be shorter

4. He must have applied before his current visa expires

How come you don't come in as a dependant? I ask because couples tend to switch to a study visa as a last resort if sponsorship doesn't work out before a Graduate visa ends.

Also, hope you are aware that if he switches to a dependant visa, he will no longer be qualified to apply for a Graduate visa.

He's completing his BSc, so couldn't join him on his visa route
Plus if he still has the chance to go back for his MSc if sponsorship doesn't work, I think.

Better safe than rejected. You can liquidate funds but ensure you apply after 28 days and also if you are studying within London it's 1300 gbp and its advisable to have double of it per month. While outside London is 1050gpb and its advisable to have double of it. For 9 months if your studies is 12months and also check your balance fees outstanding, aside your ihs, and visa fee payment.

When you have meet your own Pof, also make sure you have same equivalent amount for any dependent that may wish to accompany you

You aren't applying with any dependant doesn't mean you don't have one. You are married, indicate that, if your spouse details are asked, indicate that and his address in the UK etc.The rest will fall in-line when he applies for his dependant visa

I initiated form A in December but it was approved on February 14th.

Please does anyone have an idea how long form A ammendment takes? And do one need to visit the bank to get it done?

POF generally is total sum of funds available for your upkeep and overall wellbeing. That been said having doubled will push your point base, in such case it's advisable to check your IHS fees, visa fees, school tuition for two years, living expense for 24 months and do your conversion using Oanda.com to see if you meet up to the fund required by ukvi.

9 months maintenance fees is all you need.
