He owns the franchise doesn't mean he own the retail chains. He only own the Nigeria franchise, that is, the brand name. Meanwhile, igbos have founded many retail chains from scratch, something yorubas are good at

He can't own the brand name ode. The brand name belongs to the parent company. The franchisee uses the brand name for his store which is what Amusan does wt all his 25 shoprite stores. Gosh. Please go and read a book. He owns all the stores and the whole supply chain of Shoprite in Nigeria. He bought it 100%. Also it's exclusive - no one else owns a ShopRite store in Nigeria cos no one else has the franchise.

It doesn't mean he owns the building ShopRite is situated in. Dts a different issue. As I said earlier, he owns the palms in Lekki, ota, Enugu, Ibadan and Ilorin. And ShopRite rents in the other malls they are located in.

Tayo own the franchise not the stores
Even if it is so,Tayo reports to none.We dont know the details of the franchise.

The Shoprite in Edo state is on a government land. I never knew Edo government is now Tayo.

Regardless, that doesn't mean it doesn't belong to Tayo Amusan's company.

Bring your proof or stop arguing.

Business mogul Tayo Amusan, using Ketron Investment Limited, as vehicle has completed the acquisition of Shoprite operations in Nigeria.

Ketron is a subsidiary of Persianas Investment Limited, a property firm..

The Shoprite in Benin is opposite my house in Edo state. Its in Sapele road close to Mega Fuel Station. The land is government land, and it belongs to Ministry of Education, Edo State. The was formally Edo State Library. Your Tayo came begging Edo state to give him a location so he rented that spot from Edo State. Tayo doesn't own the land he only bought the name. The products in the shop and around the the Shoprite belongs to different people.

Tayo Amusan should go and start a retail chain from scratch like Igbos.
Have you told the man who acquired Konga to go and start from the sctrach?
For your imformation,Tayo Amusan has what is bigger than Shoprite Nigeria.
This is what gave him the stamina to acqiure Shoprite.
Meanwhile,Tayo Amusan is the one who gave Igbos the biggest mall,Polo Mall,in the entire South East. cheesy

Please say what you know. The ShopRite franchise in Nigeria (Retail Supermarket Nigeria Ltd) owned all the ShopRite stores in Nigeria. This was bought by Amusans company. There is no other ShopRite franchise in Nigeria that is owned by anyone else. He owns all 25 stores.

ShopRite (SA) itself has no interest in franchising to any other company in Nigeria. It took a lot for them to even allow Amusan franchise their brand, and it's because he was their landlord at the palms and owned other successful franchises. His wife Ayo Amusan, owns the Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Puma franchises in Nigeria.

Now if U talk about who owns the shoprite malls, dts a different issue. Amusan owns the palms mall in Lekki, Enugu, Ota, Ilorin and Ibadan, but all the other premises ShopRite shop resides in across the country is rented.

PS - in related news, the Spar franchise in Nigeria is also solely owned.

Below are the real owners of Persianas Group Ltd. Even Reginald Ihejiahi former Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director & Managing Director at Fidelity Bank is one of the director, the highest equity are own by Foreigners

I just tire. He bought all the Franchise and they are talking like the building, land everything belongs to him. Shoprite goes around begging state governors for assistance and now acting like it has accomplished something worth talking about.

Where was he when Hallmark, Marketsquare were building that chain store in Edo State. I guess he was beging Oshiomole for land in Sapele road.

I don't have the details sir. I don't talk about things I don't know. All I know is that Tayo's company bought them out, whether the property housing them in Edo belongs to Tayo or not I don't know and it is not my concern.

Oh, I get what you are trying to say. Actually he owns the malls. Shoprite and other stores were his tenants. But, by taking over Shoprite he now owns Shoprite the brand and the property.

LOL

U are wrong, the Shoprite in Benin is for Edo State government, not Tayo. Tayo is the tenant not Edo State Government.

According to the master plan, the Shoprite will also house the Edo State Library, so are you saying government sold the land to Tayo then became a tenant to Tayo?
