This is the company that partnered Delta state govt, shoprite etc to build the Asaba Mall and this is 2016 before Tayo Amusan bought shoprite.
Shoprite does not build Malls. It is just a major Supermarket in most malls.
Undescerning or less knowledgeable people call "malls" shoprite in Nigeria.

All shoprites in Nigeria were bought over by Tayo Amusan including the one in Asaba Mall were Resilient REIT Africa has a stake with the Delta state govt and shoprite etc

Op is advertising his ignorance. Shoprite is a franchise. They only occupy a section of the malls where they do business. The malls are built by Government or through individual partnership. That's why they are named differently like Polo mall, Ikeja mall, Onitsha shopping mall etc

Again, most of the names you put up there are unknown. The most popuar and biggest are
Spar
Everyday supermarket
Roban stores
Market square
Next cash and carry
shoprite
Ebeano

Thirdly, I expected you to rank them by assets value, market share or possibly, profit, you're busy counting kiosk-size branches of unknown entities.
Yorubas are comedians, imagine listing retail chains without Everyday, NEXT, ROBAN, and Priceless. They think the world revolves around Lagos

I said Enugu Spar. You clearly don't understand the meaning of "Franchise". I can build a mall in my City and name it Spar and give the India man his percentage. That's how franchise works

Also why did Spar penetrate new geograhies like Enugu, Asaba, Abia and not Osogbo, Abeokuta, Akure? This is clearly the areas with strong middle class and higher disposable income

First U said Shoprite is not a Franchisor meaning they don't operate as a Franchise, now U say they don't have Franchise in Nigeria. U ARE A BIG FOOL.

Resilient REIT Africa is one of Shoprite Franchisees in Nigeria.

Please say what you know. The ShopRite franchise in Nigeria (Retail Supermarket Nigeria Ltd) owned all the ShopRite stores in Nigeria. This was bought by Amusans company. There is no other ShopRite franchise in Nigeria that is owned by anyone else. He owns all 25 stores.

ShopRite (SA) itself has no interest in franchising to any other company in Nigeria. It took a lot for them to even allow Amusan franchise their brand, and it's because he was their landlord at the palms and owned other successful franchises. His wife Ayo Amusan, owns the Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Puma franchises in Nigeria.

Now if U talk about who owns the shoprite malls, dts a different issue. Amusan owns the palms mall in Lekki, Enugu, Ota, Ilorin and Ibadan, but all the other premises ShopRite shop resides in across the country is rented.

PS - in related news, the Spar franchise in Nigeria is also solely owned.

First of all Shoprite is a franchise it can't be owned by one person. Shoprite in Edo state will have a different owner from the one in Delta, it's just like MrBiggs.

Secondly Spar is a franchise. No single owner.

I heard Shoprite was indeed sold out to the real estate company housing them in Nigeria which is basically Tayo Amusan's company.

He owns the franchise doesn't mean he own the retail chains. He only own the Nigeria franchise, that is, the brand name. Meanwhile, igbos have founded many retail chains from scratch, something yorubas are good at
