Shoprite is bigger than all of them combined.
Market Square has about 30 branches in Nigeria alone, Everyday Emporium are more than 15, Roban is 10 branches, Next 2 branches, Ebeano 5 branches

LOL

U are wrong, the Shoprite in Benin is for Edo State government, not Tayo. Tayo is the tenant not Edo State Government.

According to the master plan, the Shoprite will also house the Edo State Library, so are you saying government sold the land to Tayo then became a tenant to Tayo?

Edo or anyone on planet earth can own the property in which Shoprite is located in Edo. But the Shoprite brand everywhere in Nigeria is owned by Tayo's company. This is just the fact.

That is a good thing. That is how businesses grow.
Equity Stake is buying ownership in a company, so why are you guys claiming the dude is the owner of ShopRite when others are part owners of the company

Who are the owners of Dangote group, Microsoft, Tesla, Facebook and others? Does that mean there are no parties with equity stakes in those companies?

I am not talking about name I am talking about the mall. The mall belongs to different people.
Shoprite stores are always different from the malls.
In some instances as in Asaba mall,Shoprite too has a stake in the mall.

BOI is part owner of ShopRite get that to your brain, you don't see equity stake of BOI in Everyday, Next, Ebeano etc

The is even different from what we are talking about. ShopRite is now a franchise meaning that the shopping space and goods can be owned by anybody using the ShopRite franchise

Bank of Industry would be a part owner of Dangote group too as well as many other big companies in Nigeria. Do you think big companies are funded by toro and kobo?
That is why your Ebeano will remain a mom and pop operation while others are quietly making a huge difference in the society.

I have never argued that. Tayo bought the name. Not the malls spread across Nigeria. He might own some malls, but not all.

He owns the malls, had ShopRite as a tennant before taking over Shoprite itself. Why is this too difficult for you to understand?
But the particular branch in Edo, I am not sure who owns the property.

Maybe, but there are many like this owned by Nigerians and Ghanaians in Canada, nothing special. The empty store shelves though.

If Persianas developed it they probably own it. You can give us your evidence that this is not the case.

Nice one. But one would have expected that the list is dominated by the Igbos considering their entrepreneurial prowess.

They like to have all the controls, that is the problem. You cannot grow that way. Didn't you see Anambra first son boasting that Ebeano and others have no equity partners?
