Mr registra, you don't blame the unqualified teachers for the mess, rather put all the blame on the school that have refused to pay better remuneration to the qualified teachers rather they opt to employ those they can pay peanut and sack at will.

On this matter baah, the qualifications of the teachers do not matter if they produce results. I once taught primary school pupils for their preparation of common entrance examz and they passed.
I wasn't qualified but my result was splendid. Finito.....
Well the abula professor himself is unqualified !!!

You guys don't understand! How many teachers have the teachers regulatory council's certification? There are good teachers but no trcn certification, that's the point he's making. I'm sure there are better teachers in SW than SE

Having been in the department for more than a decade i can safely say there's a whole lot of truth in what he's saying and sadly that's the reality.I know he is hinting on lack of competence rather than outright lack of qualification. The general meaning of being qualified in the Nigerian education system is having atleast an N.C.E which most of the holders can not even defend. The lot of these unqualified teachers are largely in the pot-boiler private schools. You hardly find them in top private schools. And even in public schools too,a lot of teachers cannot defend their job.You will see teachers discard their handouts to iya alakaras after graduating from teacher training colleges instead of keeping those materials for future references.I can go on and endlessly about the whys and wherefores but let me just stop here...

If that is the case 99% of teachers of other regions will be fake .

Especially southeast, considering the fact that they consider someone that came distant 3rd as winner of the election.

Exactly that's why there are so much certificated morons and godforsaken asslickers in that region helped so much by quota system and lower cut off marks

The fact about teaching profession in Nigeria today is that,so many who call themselves teachers are not teachers out of passion but out of desire to keep body and soul together in the midst of high rate of unemployment.

Re: Seventy Percent Of Teachers In South-west Are Unqualified - TRCN by Flamezreal(m): 7:05pm On May 04, 2023
Some people are ignorantly mistaking capability for qualification. TRCN are fighting for their pockets. They charge thousands of naira for their exam just for you to get license for teaching after which you'll continue renewing the license every certain interval of year(s). Nigerian teachers are underpaid and these people are bent on milking them dry, adding to their frustration.
Teachers have earned their certification in teaching as either NCE or BSc.Ed and those that didn't study education course as their first degree can as well go for pgde and be certified.Hence, you're qualified.
TRCN are responsible for licensing and are just jostling for their enterprise.

I am qualified but I choose to stop the unrewarding profession. The most useless job in Nigeria. U go work na peanut u go get. Many teachers are not even qualified even in international schools basis of teaching they don't know. The one wey even funny pass your boss fit be NCE holder but go dey control degree holder like mumu. Dumb profession. If u are in the job and you enjoy continue doing the slave work. The job is even boring see write lesson note mark register mark script shout like madman Upandan.at the end of the day your salary no go pay your bills.
