luvethsam:
Good day everyone, I have been a silent reader and learner here for a while.
My interview was on Tuesday May 2nd and I just gathered myself to share my transcript and it went thus

VO: Good morning

Me: Good morning ma'am

VO: I see you're going for an MBA program....

Me: yes I'm going for my MBA in xyz cus I was given promotion as Head of Operation that'll be leading my team on a new project but I need an Intl degree in project mgt before I could assume my new position

VO: who's going to pay for this

Me: my husband, he's a medical doctor and own a hospital here in Lagos with a staff strength of 28

VO: what do you do

Me: I work at Xyz as a risk analyst (didn't talk further cus she wasn't paying attention)

VO: are you married

Me: yes

VO: children?

Me: 2

VO: alright, thank you for your time unfortunately you're not qualified for this visa this time...

Please 🙏 I need your corrections please and where i can do mock interview cus I intend to reapply next week.
I also need your suggestions if asked why I was rejected last time

Sorry about the denial.

DO YOU HAVE FUNDING?

@bolded you don't think, they are busy taking your response. This an interview, you don't expect them to behave like mtn customer care service by saying "still with you please". I bet you, just say something that piques their interest and watch them look you in between the eyeballs if you will flinch.
You should be able to talk more about your job duties. I believe you were not well prepared for this interview.

]it simply means you have good family funds.
Some coming from your husband shows good family ties to home.

Thanks Chibertha

Please I will be writing IELTS in August and conclude my masters here in Japan next year September. I understand I need to apply this year against next year fall. However, I want to ask about the possibility of landing funding for another masters or PhD in the top fifty schools in USA. Or perhaps safe schools to easily get funding and that have fair ranking.

Hello everyone. Good afternoon! Please I want to make an inquiry. I have a ban in Turkey due to overstay. I don't understand the stamp out they put on my passport at the airport as I feel it indicates I was given a ban. Now I want to do a new passport for my visa interview. Will the interviewer find out I have a ban in Turkey if I should go with a new passport?

@everyone, A friend may not be able to attend her interview scheduled for 8th of may, she got the date on first attempt on scheduling, has never resheduled, her classes start August. What steps should she take in order to reschedule. Again will she notify the consular at lagos that she won't be attending due to unforeseen circumstances? Pls advice and suggestions needed. @ Chibertha âś…

I am so sorry about your friend. If and when your friend is sure of their unavailability to attend the appointment, she could have periodically be on the lookout for future dates that are before August but later than May and reschedule. But since time is not on her side anymore, if she could swap dates with someone with a later appointment that is before August. Otherwise, last option would be to cancel the appointment last minute and be on the lookout for dates subsequently ( ps: I am in need of a Lagos date as my start date is June, so if your friend is willing to help, please let me know)

I don't know how date swapping works or if it has a backlash, her interview is on the 8th of may already, when is your date?
