Biafra was predominantly igbo (majority of the population).
Native igbo land is semi barren and the resources rich lands of Biafra were dominated by non igbo minorities.
Had the igbos succeeded in seceding, based on thier antecedents ("So the igbo jews were ostracizing and persecuting thier fellow igbo jews"wink
, you can expect the persecution and purging of these minorities in order to take over thier lands and resources. These igbo jews are cruel and greedy...it's in thier blood.

In Canada, the native population (indigenous Canadians and survivors of the purge) is also subjugated and persecuted.

Mike Adenuga at 70

THOSE who would literally go insane (Jews of igbo extraction for example grin) if they had a tenth of his possessions habitually paint the town red, engaging in perverse, dirty and devious displays of ostentation and causing the downtrodden despondency and despair, but he is literally unheralded in town where, for all practical purposes, he is a purposive recluse living in self-measured spaces of decency that preclude the pitfalls of paparazzi cameras. He is Africa’s fifth wealthiest individual and Nigeria’s second but he is not moved to megalomania by the allure of currency notes. He prefers to measure the impact of his existence on the real, demonstrable change he can make in the lives of vast populations of people; a matchless agent of transformation in a land abundantly blessed but criminally managed by generations of political buccaneers.

That is why, as Nigerians and the rest of the world roll out the drums to celebrate him as a billionaire business mogul with vast interests in real estate, oil and gas, banking and telecoms, investor and consummate philanthropist, we find ample reasons to take a voyage around, and salute, the ennobling institution that he has become as a major pillar of the Nigerian economy and a force for laughter in a land where sorrow and despair have effectively become daily doses. Michael Adeniyi Adenuga Jr (GCON) is such a pleasant song at 70 and we heartily join in singing the tunes. His story is a powerful instantiation of the fact that you do not have to engage in politics to make inerasable, enduring impact in the lives of millions of people. In line with Yoruba lore, Adenuga is a metaphor for Onirese, the calabash carver of unblemished artistry who, should he stop carving calabashes, would still be perpetually honoured because the ones he has already woven are imperishable. His honours and plaudits at 70 have been richly earned.

Born to parents of royal Ijebu descent, Adenuga did not move from the cradle to adulthood robed in garments of luxury. He had to dream his place in the world and fight for it with every fibre of his being. After his secondary school education at Ibadan Grammar School and his Higher School Certificate (HSC) programme at the Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro, Adenuga actually worked as a taxi driver to help fund his university education at the Northwestern Oklahoma State University, United States, from where he proceeded to Pace University, New York, earning degrees in Business Administration. Yet Ibadan, the land described by JP Clark as “running splash of rust and gold”, holds a special place in his heart till today.

From making his first million at age 26, selling lace and distributing soft drinks, founding Devcom Merchant Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank (ETB), both of which have now dissolved into Sterling Bank Plc, in his 30s; receiving an oil drilling licence in 1990 and, in 1991, having his Consolidated Oil strike oil in the shallow waters of Ondo State as the first indigenous oil company to do so in commercial quantities, Adenuga has come a long way. He was undeterred by the revocation of the conditional GSM licence given to him in 1999; he worked hard to secure a second one when the government held another auction in 2002, floating Globacom, the indigenous telecoms company that has acquired such a huge stake in the emotions, affection and daily existence of Nigerians.

GSM telephony came to Nigeria on the heels of the return to civil rule as a bourgeois, elitist symbol but Adenuga took it straight to the doors of the downtrodden, those who for decades were mere statistics in government documents. He crashed the prohibitive price of the SIM card (above N30,000 at the time); the queues when he told Nigerians that they could own a SIM card for just N3000 was joyously long. Adenuga showed the masses that they, too, could own a GSM line. He further crashed the price to less than N1,000 and brought joy to many homes. Indeed, he is a major factor for the experience today where the SIM card is virtually free.

At a time telecommunications companies were unwilling to charge per second, Adenuga damned the consequences and introduced per second billing to roaring applause by a deeply appreciative populace. His mantra was people, power and possibilities. And when the internet came, no less a personality than Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, ex- governor of Edo State, acknowledged his genius in bringing his home town Iyamho in Edo State, not discernible from the Nigerian map, right into the global digital space. That is actually a story millions of Nigerians can tell. Launched on August 29, 2003, Globacom, now in the Republic of Benin, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, has recorded so many landmarks, including championing per second billing and being the first company to implement 2.5 G and 3G networks in Nigeria; being the first to offer 4 G LTE, the first to offer Blackberry solutions and the first to launch submarine cable (GLO 1) providing efficient and fast broadband internet services.

From every indication, the aim/objective of the West is to disintegrate and subjugate Russia. Now that they've seen the results of thier miscalculations, they're aimless and they're basically using the RUS-UKR crisis as a distraction to divert attention away from domestic failures.
nazi ukraine has lost territory that is comparable to the size of some countries.
The West has receded and declined.
We're now in a multipolar world where the Yuan is an acceptable alternative to the dollar.
Sanctions are impotent.
The West has been unable to isolate Russia (the West still has embassies in Russia sef...they could communicate with Russia via Nigeria or cnn).
The West has been unable to prevent trade between Russia and the relevant stakeholders (China and India).
Denazify/Demilitarize Ukraine is making sure Ukraine is unable to be used as a launchpad to annihilate Russians/suppress Russian culture.
Russia's stated goals and objectives has been attained.

As a matter of "leaks", resources rich Africa was next on the Russian agenda. But thanks to the sacrifices of Jewlensky and the benevolent West, Russia is unable to invade Nigeria. Tinubu has traveled to ukraine to thank the nazi militant for fighting for our freedom.
Nigeria has struck a defensive alliance with NATO (or a millitary agreement equivalent or superior to NATO)....lol jk

The Nazi militants in Ukraine are similar to the Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria. They're both terrorists.

Ukrainian ammo train destroyed in counter insurgency operation

A large supply of ammunition was destroyed in a strike near Kramatorsk, according to the Defense Ministry.

Russian forces have destroyed a Ukrainian train carrying up to 200 tons of ammunition, Moscow’s Defense Ministry claimed on Sunday. The strike reportedly occurred in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic, near the city of Kramatorsk, which remains under Ukrainian control.

The Russian military has also been actively targeting Ukrainian artillery units, the ministry spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced during a media briefing.

“Over the past 24 hours, tactical and army aviation, missile and artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces hit 82 Ukrainian artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and equipment in 115 areas,” Konashenkov stated.

The attack on the train appears to the largest military gain of the day, but earlier Russian forces also claimed a strike on a command post of Ukraine’s 81st airborne brigade near the village of Belogorovka, in Lugansk People’s Republic.

Over the past few days, both Russian and Ukrainian forces have been ramping up long-range strikes against each other.

On Saturday, the Russian military took responsibility for the destruction of a major Ukrainian command center, responsible for operations of Kiev’s southern troops. The bombing was carried out with sea-based cruise missiles, according to Moscow.

Earlier this week, the Russian military launched a major missile salvo at Ukraine, targeting multiple groupings of Ukrainian military reserves. The military said the strike was a success, and prevented the redeployment of reserves toward the front line.

During the bombardment, a multi-story residential building was damaged in the Ukrainian city of Uman, with more than 20 civilians killed, according to Kiev. While it was not immediately clear what exactly hit the building, Ukrainian authorities have blamed Moscow for the incident. However, Kiev’s own troops have hit civilian targets in the country – and even beyond – with air defense projectiles on multiple occasions during the conflict, which has been raging since February 2022.

Ukraine, meanwhile, has intensified the shelling of Russia’s border regions, including the city of Donetsk, which has been subjected to artillery and rocket attacks on an almost daily basis. On Friday the city endured a massive shelling, which destroyed and damaged multiple residential buildings and critical infrastructure, leaving at least nine civilians dead and over a dozen injured.

Overnight, Kiev’s forces shelled the village of Suzemka in Russia’s Bryansk Region, killing at least four civilians according to the local Governor, Aleksandr Bogomaz.

"Majority of Ukrainians do not support the West/Zelensky's vendetta against Russians (Russians generally, including Russian speaking Ukrainians and the Russian culture).
Majority of Ukrainians had preferred that the country should be divided with one going to Russia and the other as the new Ukraine (NK SK scenario) with security guarantees from the US, France and the UK. Security guarantees that ensures that if Russia invades the new Ukraine, then France, US, the new Ukraine and the UK will jointly invade Russia (are those countries scared? They have a lot of mouth).
Also, they recently promised to nuke NK (a nuclear country) so they shouldn't be scared.
I find Russia to be more credible. I don't even need to listen to Russia..I just need to look at the behaviour of the West. They appear to be confirming Russia's claims with thier actions."

Saudi Arabia evacuated Russians from Sudan

Saudi Arabia evacuated several dozen Russian nationals from Sudan aboard military ships, Ruslan Usmanov, Spokesman of the Russian Consulate General in Jeddah told TASS Sunday.

"Russian nationals do not evacuate on their own. They are being evacuated by Saudi military ships. They took this issue upon themselves. They evacuate from Port Sudan and take them to the Port of Jeddah, to the naval base. We meet them here," the diplomat said. "So far, about 40 Russian have arrived. Most of them have already departed: some back to Russia, and some to other countries - depending on their destination."

Usmanov specified that Russian citizens travel to Russia through transit countries, such as Egypt, Qatar and the UAE.

According to the spokesman, Saudi Arabia also evacuates American and European citizens. Saudi authorities provide lists of evacuated people to the consulate general several hours in advance.

"Saudi Arabia also pays for their two-day stay in hotel, with catering," Usmanov. "After that, Russian citizens depart to Russia. If necessary, we escort them to the airport, resolve some issues, but, usually, everything goes smoothly. There have been no problems so far."

The situation in Sudan escalated amid disagreements between the army chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who also heads the ruling Sovereignty Council, and the head of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (known as Hemedti), who is al-Burhan’s deputy on the council.

The main points of contention between the two military organizations pertain to the timeline and methods for unifying the armed forces of Sudan, as well as who should be appointed as commander-in-chief of the army: a career military officer, which is al-Burhan’s preferred option, or an elected civilian president, as Dagalo insists.

On April 15, armed clashes between the rival military factions erupted near a military base in Merowe and in the capital, Khartoum.

There are international students and there are struggling international students.

Struggling international students who choose Ontario instead of a province with a lower cost of living are incapable of making informed decision.
I try to stay away from people with poor judgment skills lacking in foresight and wisdom (but it's impossible, I always come across them).

For example, Ontario has vital amenities that you can find in Alberta.
Housing and transportation is cheaper in Alberta than in Ontario.

And the pay? Most times, you're paid less in Ontario.
If you're lucky, you'll get an amount that's equal to what you were paid in Alberta.

All my life I've been surrounded by men who retired in thier sixties and reaped the fruit of their youthful labour
It seemed normal (it is normal).

In truth, children are the cherished desire of any successful marriage.
Beyond the joy children brings to a union, investing in the future of your children (as is the practice of Africans) does bring dividends later in the future.

Most parents (in an African setting) are responsible for nurturing thier children into independence and success, thereby, creating the pathway for these children to repeat the same pattern when they also become parents.

After retirement, while some of these parents are privileged enough to be able to survive on pension, gratuities or profits from rewarding entrepreneurship, others are not...they depend on the children whom they had invested in...I see nothing wrong with this.
This has been our culture for generations and it's a balanced cycle.

Personally for me, it's a blessing to be able to take care of one's parents in thier old age (my grandpa was always frequenting the UK where majority of my my family members are based. They covered his travel expenses and he lived with them.
When he wasn't in the UK, he was in his house in Nigeria, a house built by his children. He also received overflowing allowances. He had served them in his youth
..he passed away before 70.
My grandma also frequents the UK. She mostly lives with my uncle in Australia when she's not in Nigeria)

Fast forward to Canada,

All my life (before Canada) I had been surrounded by men who retired in thier sixties and reaped the fruit of their youthful labour
It seemed normal (it is normal).

But now,

I'm surrounded by miserable people.

The two Nigerian men (past the age of 60) that I'm about to discourse on share the reality of majority of the people belonging to the demographic they represent.

One claims he is an international student with his family back in Nigeria...I'm mortified..he said he is a pastor and sort....but then I'm like.. shouldn't one of his children be at least 30? Why was the pastor unable to contain his greed and sacrifice for his children? What does he want to do with another educational credential at that age?
I look at my family as a template. My aunt immigrated and opened the pathway to immigration for her siblings and parents.
This struggling pastor wears away (as a labourer) in a factory under hard labour (modern day slavery).

The other Nigerian man (also struggling) describes himself as a Muslim.
He is also stuck in a substandard accommodation arrangement with similar fate to the pastor (vis a vis employment).

According to his narrative, he has a child here in Canada who graduated from a university in BC and lives in BC. Since he's past 60, how old is that child? Why are his children unable to take care of him? My grandpa had a better life and my grandma is still around.

In Nigeria, the circle of people around me was mixed.
In Canada, I'm completely surrounded by broken people.

Syria’s Assad may visit Riyadh before May 19 Arab League summit

The probability of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to Riyadh increased significantly after the Arab League Council decided to restore Damascus’ full membership in this regional association, Lebanese analyst Nidal Sabi told TASS.

"There is information from reliable sources in Riyadh and Damascus that such visit may happen before the Arab League summit on May 19," he underscored. According to Sabi, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud has "embarked on a course toward settlement of conflict situations in the region contrary to the will of the US, who has been fueling inter-Arab controversies and confessional hatred for decades."

According to Sabi, the Crown Prince intends to invite Assad to the meeting of Arab leaders in order to cement the "meeting in Riyadh as the summit of consolidation of Arab cohorts under the aegis of Saudi leadership."

"I believe that the Saudi Crown Prince is very close to his goal," he said. "Because, just on Saturday, nobody dared to predict that the May 7 meeting of Arab League Foreign Ministers in Cairo will be a success and will open the road for Syria’s return to the association following a 12-year hiatus."

The Lebanese expert speculated that Presidents of Iran and Turkey may be invited to Riyadh as honored guests.

"Their presence will mean that the years-long Sunni-Shia standoff in the region has come to an end, and the ‘Arab spring’ project, aimed to bring the Muslim Brotherhood Islamists to power, has completely failed," the analyst concluded.

According to Sabi, the end of the Arab boycott of Syria challenges the ability of the US and the EU to preserve the economic sanctions against Damascus.
https://tass.com/world/1614771

"Their efficiency will drop significantly and the West will have to admit its defeat," Sabi underscored.

Does that mean that a millitary govt is capable of protecting and respecting human rights? (Ask your democratic govt in Nigeria if your rights are protected and respected).
Gaddafi challenged the West by seeking a better Africa, a united Africa, an Africa where we would be emancipated from the shackles of Western hegemony...Gaddafi tried to introduce a system that'll address the economic disparity and inequality suffered by Africans. Gaddafi inherited a country that was the poorest in Africa and made it the most prosperous country on the African continent..what was Nigeria doing?

Just like Libya, the West had hoped they'll be able to depose Assad. He was supported by President Putin and he prevailed. The West sought to isolate Syria...it failed again..Syria was recently readmitted to the League of Arab states.

That perfectly reality.
The vast majority of Nigerians (and by extension, Africans generally) are indifferent to whatever is happening in Ukraine.

Nairaland has a statistics of less than 2 million users (although they say they have 3 million grin) with repeat visitors of less than 7 million.
9 million is a very tiny fraction of 200 million+

The fringe minority of Western apologists have no impact/influence on the decision of decision makers (wrt Rus-West)...this is the only oppurtunity they have to exhibit thier lunacy.

In the West, Ukraine is yet to be Palestined because even though the West trys to portray this as a world vs Russia warfare, it remains a West (and vassals) vs Rus affair. The West failed so badly...they need a scapegoat for the subsequent economic woes and the very sharp decline in the standard of living.
But in Africa, decline in the standard of living has been a norm...compare the price of a bag of rice at the beginning of Buhari's first term in 2015 to the price of a bag of rice in 2018.
In Ghana, life was better in 2012 than it was in 2018.
There has been a trend of hardship and decline which has always been accepted by Africans while the West is beginning to experience hardship and disaster on a scale that it hasn't seen since WW2.

Ailing SA should learn from China

Around the time SA became a democratic nation in 1994, large parts of undemocratic China were still mired in awful poverty.

It is ironic, given the amount of Chinese-made goods we consume, (76.2% of goods consumed in Nigeria are Chinese made) that most South Africans are quite ignorant about this global superpower.

When one of our reporters travelled to China recently (his story is in our Travel supplement today), it was eye-opening and sadly, left him wondering where this country might have been had our political leaders not been so focused on looting.

Around the time SA became a democratic nation in 1994, large parts of China were still mired in awful poverty. Just under 30 years later, that poverty has been turned into prosperity in many areas.

While we in South Africa crow about our 160km/h Gautrain, there are scores of high-speed trains – with speeds of 300km/h and up – in China and tens of thousands of kilometres of high-speed rail links.

Our reporter couldn’t help notice the authoritarian air in instances like the iron control over the internet. But efficiency, cleanliness and discipline were also evident.

China will only grow as a force in world affairs and, for us in Africa, that can have negative or positive consequences, especially if there is a new, economic, colonialism.

However, while being aware of China’s dark side, we should be ready to learn from it.

Lots of South Africans rooting for Russia – ex-president’s daughter to RT
Duduzile Sambudla-Zuma commented on a report claiming she has been spreading pro-Moscow narratives online.

Majority of indigenous South Africans (westerners are not South Africans) have a favorable view of Russia and support its policies, the daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma told RT on Saturday. Duduzile Sambudla-Zuma made the assertion while commenting on a recent report claiming that she has been spreading pro-Russian hashtags on Twitter.

Speaking to RT, Sambudla-Zuma, a popular influencer in South Africa, confirmed that she has indeed been posting such content, stressing, however, that in doing so she is merely expressing her opinions as a private individual.

“I stand by Russia and I stand by President Putin” Sambudla-Zuma said, insisting that she is “not being paid by Moscow” for expressing such opinions. She added that she believes many in South Africa and further afield share her views.

Earlier this week, a UK-based non-profit organization, the Centre for Information Resilience, issued a report suggesting the ex-president’s daughter has been spreading and amplifying pro-Russian hashtags and memes online.

Sambudla-Zuma argued that the West is becoming ever more anxious as Russia asserts itself more boldly, winning over the hearts of people in Africa and elsewhere around the world

SA Army chief in Moscow for talks with Russian counterpart

South African Army chief Lt-Gen Lawrence Mbatha is in Moscow for talks with his counterpart, Russia’s defence ministry said on Monday.

Commander-in-chief of the ground forces of the Russian armed forces Oleg Salyukov and Mbatha “discussed agreements on further enhancing co-operation and increasing the combat readiness of the armed forces of both countries”, reported the state run TASS news agency.

Details of the visit come on the heels of a diplomatic fallout between the US and South Africa over claims on May 11 by US ambassador Reuben Brigety that South Africa shipped arms aboard the Lady R — which docked in Simon’s Town naval base in December — to Russia.

The Presidency said the government would implement an independent inquiry to probe the allegations — denied by South Africa but which threaten its lucrative trade and diplomatic ties with the US.

“During the meeting of the military leaders, agreements were reached to further increase co-operation between the ground forces in various fields,” the Russian defence ministry said.

“If it did happen as the Americans claim, it could be conduct of people who were mischief makers,” finance minister Enoch Godongwana was quoted as saying by Bloomberg regarding the allegations that arms were loaded on to the Lady R in Simon's Town.

“People who have got that information must provide that information to the judge so we can take the necessary action.”

Mbatha in Moscow: SA delegation to discuss ‘military cooperation’
Tilt towards the Kremlin? The commander of South Africa's ground forces Lieutenant General Lawrence Mbatha is in Moscow for talks.

Lieutenant General Lawrence Mbatha is heading a delegation that discussed “issues relating to military cooperation and interaction” with their Russian counterparts, according to news agencies on Monday 15 May.

This follows mere days after Washington accused Pretoria of secretly providing arms to Russia. (I find this funny as a Nigerian) grin

Last Thursday, the US ambassador to Pretoria Reuben Brigety said that the United States (US) believed weapons and ammunition had been laden onto Lady R, a Russian freighter that docked at the Cape Town naval base in Simon’s Town in December.

President Cyril Ramaphosa said the matter was “being looked into” and “in time we will be able to speak about it”.

The US welcomed the promises to probe the allegations.

Lol... tbh...I wish it was Nigeria and not South Africa...these people no rate Nigeria o grin

SA refuses to condemn Ukraine/Russia conflict
South Africa has refused to condemn the conflict in Ukraine, which has largely isolated Moscow on the international stage.

The country says it wants to stay neutral.

Evidence of tilt towards the Kremlin?
But critics cite a number of recent incidents as evidence of a tilt towards the Kremlin.

On Friday, following the scandal, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone with Ramaphosa.

Both leaders agreed to “intensify mutually beneficial ties”, according to the Kremlin.

Ramaphosa on Monday said the country would not be drawn “into a contest between global powers” over Ukraine despite having faced “extraordinary pressure” to pick sides.

We do not accept that our non-aligned position favours Russia above other countries. Nor do we accept that it should imperil our relations with other countries. Ramaphosa said in a weekly presidential newsletter

Pretoria supported a peaceful resolution to the conflict, he said. (The time for diplomacy is over...Jewlensky and his masters had more than enough opportunities).

Mbatha on the move in Moscow
On Monday, Mbatha “visited educational institution of the ground forces and enterprises of the military-industrial complex” of Russia, agencies said.

Agreements were reached to further increase cooperation between ground forces in various fields. Russian agency Interfax
A spokesman for South Africa defence ministry referred questions about Mbatha’s trip to Moscow to the military.

The South African Defence Force (SANDF) did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

Displaced Palestinians should take a cue from Westerners and move to Russia.
Jordan was also a party in the Israeli-Arab war but it isn't occupied by Israel.
Despite a UN ruling that the occupation of Palestinian territory is illegal and illegitimate, Israel and the West has shown complete disregard and disrespect for the rule of law. This reinforces my position on the redundancy of the UN.

The word 'United' in United States of America is used to describe multiple colonial states in North America that came together to forge a new identity. Alberta in Canada can decide to secede and become an independent entity or join the United States as another state. Biafra could have also done the same thing if it had prevailed over Nigeria (it could have been an independent country or it could have joined the US as another one of it states).

Russia can boast of supporting Russian speaking Ukrainians in defending thier right to self determination and protecting them from unprovoked aggression stemming from thier lack of recognition of an illegitimate Nazi govt foisted upon them in a coup branded as democracy.
While Russia takes pride in rebuilding and erecting new structures for Russian speaking Ukrainians (Russians) in these liberated regions, one would wonder why Israel is building settlements for Israeli inhabitants on Palestinian territory. I see a quest and thirst for living space, a trait shared with the Nazis.

Earlier, I said Palestinians should take a cue from Westerners and move to Russia.

The Westerners in North America are not from here. Thier native continent is Western Europe. Colonization is one thing Africa and North America has in common. Unlike Africa, the Westerners (due to the nice geography of the lands of the indigenous people of North America) displaced the local population to become the majority through acts of genocide, cleansing and other inhumane treatment. The Westerners never left.

There is abundance of land and resources in North America while Western Europe is starved.
In this context, Palestinians native land in Palestine is Western Europe while thier North America is Russia.
Displaced Palestinians should be resettled in other Arab states and liberated territories like Bakhmut, Soledar etc.

ParasiteWest:
There cannot be a right government until the West is put in their place. (Russia, China and the majority of the world has done a wonderful job) The interest of the West in developing countries is to make sure the developing countries remain impoverished so the citizens of those countries would find migration to the West for 'greener pastures' attractive where they're then exploited and exposed to [/b]modern day slavery.[/b] Their intent is to keep the West as a 'paradise' in the minds of the manipulated public. The West influenced the politics of Africa directly/indirectly. The right govt will get the 'Gaddafi treatment'

As the West faces a very sharp decline in living standards and poor economy, even the modern day slavery jobs are being squeezed (plenty slaves, lesser slave jobs, more homeless people, more non economic immigrants). Etc.
Immigration at this time is not beneficial or advisable because it's not serving the purpose.
You can expect some diverting and deflecting tactics to discredit this fact, it wouldn't change reality.

The most realistic simulation that i could find.

Chinese War Simulation Finds Top US Carrier Group Could Be ‘Destroyed With Certainty

War games conducted by Chinese researchers found the US military’s most prized aircraft carrier could be reliably sunk with relative ease in the event of a hot war in the South China Sea.

A volley of hypersonic missiles could reliably sink the US military’s most powerful aircraft carrier group in a potential conflict, according to war game simulations carried out by a team of Chinese military planners.
Using 24 of their most advanced anti-ship missiles, Chinese forces consistently destroyed a carrier fleet led by the USS Gerald R. Ford over the course of 20 mock battles in simulations which were run on a war game platform employed by the People’s Liberation Army.

In the simulation, the US ships came under fire after ignoring multiple Chinese warnings not to approach an island in the South China Sea controlled by Beijing.
For test purposes, the war games’ designers used a carrier group made up of six surface ships which were selected for their “unparalleled strength and advanced technology.”

A major Hong Kong-based newspaper reported that the military planners “selected vessels deemed the US Navy’s most superior – the CVN-78 Gerald R. Ford, accompanied by a CG56 Ticonderoga-class cruiser the San Jacinto, and four DDG-103 Arleigh Burke-class Flight IIA guided missile destroyers.”

Led by Cao Hongsong from the North University of China, the researchers found that virtually every US surface vessel was ravaged by the attack and eventually sank.

According to researchers, the Ford carrier group – which was once thought to be all but unsinkable – could actually be “destroyed with certainty” using just a handful of hypersonic missile strikes.
Chinese military planners placed a number of constraints on themselves in the simulation, including cutting their access to space-based spy satellites and limiting the number of hypersonic missiles available.

The basic principle underlying the exercise was to be “lenient with the enemy and strict with oneself,” Cao explained.
As the Hong Kong-based outlet explained, “during the simulation, the PLA used its sea-based surveillance network to detect and identify the US carrier group before firing eight of the less-reliable hypersonic missiles simultaneously from southern and central sites in China.”

Though “some of the missiles were intercepted, the attack depleted the US fleet’s SM-3 munitions, paving the way for the PLA to launch “eight of its more accurate hypersonic missiles from northern and western China, with four focused on the aircraft carrier while the others targeted the destroyers,” the outlet noted.

“After the attack, four ships survived from the blue [US] team, with the destroyers having the most remaining, on average.”
A “mop-up” operation with six of the less accurate hypersonic missiles was able to dispatch with the remaining vessels, the research paper determined.

After the simulation was run 20 times to allow for different variables which could affect the outcome of the engagement, the team’s strategy was ultimately able to eliminate an average of 5.6 out of 6 surface vessels – effectively meaning the “total destruction” of the carrier group.

The release of a paper detailing the war game in May marked “the first time the results of simulated hypersonic strikes against a US carrier group have been made public” by China’s military, the Honk Kong outlet noted.

Colonialism Is Worse Than Nazism

Colonialism is worse than Nazism. This sounds controversial but it’s really not. Just imagine that non-white people are also people. It’s easy if you try.

Imagine that Nazis succeeded and really did establish a centuries-long Reich. That they used racial superiority to take land, kill people, set up concentration camps, practice torture, and loot. That’s exactly what happened to non-white people.

European colonialism went on for hundreds of years and killed millions. It was a global scourge, a web of atrocity UNPARALLELED in human history. Millions were tortured, starved, subjected to disease, and oppressed. Our resources, labor, and very humanity was stolen — and we carry “debts” that continue to this day. You still keep our artifacts in your museums and our jewels in your crowns.

The only real difference between colonialism and Nazism is that the former happened to non-white people.

Colonialism was all good until Hitler tried colonizing white people. That was unforgivable.

https://indica.medium.com/colonialism-was-worse-than-nazism-94d9b0e6fe64

Pt 1

The millions of coloured people that were murdered, subjugated or exterminated for belonging to a race/ethnicity or for practicing a religion different from the dictates of the colonialists are not less human than the Jews.

The bible was used to justify enslaving black people, the bible was used to justify colonization (their lord commanded them to preach his word and subdue/subjugate the infidels)..are they different from Boko Haram? No..they're actually worse.
There's the Roman catholic church, the English Anglican church and so on (just to fit into the diverse political agendas of it's feudal lords).
