In 2022, I traveled to 5 countries with South Africa being the only African country. Know your type.

I have worked as an expatriate in 9 countries. Canada was the last before coming to settle down back home, of which I have been so fulfilled. Bro, forget how we play online. I ll be a functional part of Tinubu's presidency come 29 May by the Grace of God to contribute my experience over the years.

When people make fun of Nigeria, I always laugh at their ignorance. You just need to tour the world and see.

I had warned that there will be a very serious filtering of Nigeria's cyberspace and a reinforcement of it's security after 29 of May as a precautionary measures to break down of law and order.

Hmmm. This is why I always avoid trailers when on the road. Thank God no life was lost.

Meanwhile, I need $500 skrill fund. If you have legal skrill fund for sale dm me. Rate #580/dollar.

You just pray you don't ever get in this type of incident. Your car could be down and the containers could fall from on top the bridge like the one that happened couple times now at Ojuelegba Underbridge.

Then you transfer the contents of the containers into the American styled permanently attached trailers, this is not rocket science. You cannot keep transporting containers on flat beds through Nigerian pot hole filled roads without accidents like this becoming constant.
the problem is that they r not strapping it

From the image, it seems the the whole truck was upturned, not just the container.
The problem with laws in Nigeria is that they are seldom obeyed, most especially by those with 'connections'.
Added to the man sized pot holes the govt leaves on the high ways.

Re: Container Crushes A Toyota Camry In Lagos (Photo) by Gbengageorge: 9:55pm On May 15, 2023
The will not do anything until you put them under that container, then they will start forming effectiveness.

Sulele04:
I guess this is not a problem to the useless Nigerian Legislative government, that is why they have not enacted a law banning trailers movement in the day, or banning trailers entirely. It this not a clear environment hazard, or how many accidents before it is an issue. angry

If it is too sponsor useless bills like electoral amendment, banning of protest, banning Nigerian doctors from leaving the country, that is where we will see Nigerian Senate.

Anyways, I doubt the citizens themselves really care.

IF THIS HAPPENS TO A TOP POLITICIAN, A LAW WOULD SURELY BE ENACTED TO CURB THIS MENACE, BUT SINCE IT HAPPENS TO THE POOR CITIZENS, IT IS NOBODY'S BUSINESS.

LIVES AIN'T VALUED IN NIGERIA. KNOW THIS AND KNOW PEACE

Why can't we have permanently attached trailers like this, instead of putting containers on a flat bed that is always falling off and crushing people.

Start educating the truck drivers, illiteracy is the major issue, No certification before jumping on steering, Nigeria is something else, truck owners should be sanctioned too , most of the time this things happens, they don’t share from the punishment, that’s why they give trucks to motor boy to drive without experience, that’s why they employ careless drivers

The weight of the container was made to balance and even out on the trailer.

But because here is Nigeria where we have bad roads which make this container unstable, they tend to tip off from balance.

Note: this containers are extremely heavy, which is why tipping off from the trailer is hard. But here we are sha

My suspicion is that the container was repacked improperly, probably here after customs inspection and if the items are of considerable weight and eccentricity or not secured in the container it can flip any truck.

Unfortunately we are not meticulous in our ways of administration to get to the facts behind the incident to forestall a recurrence so we keep on experiencing these tragedies..... till we 'have sense' as they say....unfortunately.

Thank God the car owner was able to get out. This why I hate it when I'm in a commercial vehicle and the driver keeps trying to maneuver a truck or drive beside them.

One of my biggest fear especially while seating at the back where escape is impossible.

I am not talking about those rods from the devil kind of drops o. I am referring to seeing tankers while driving. If a trailer pulls up by my side, I just pray for the traffic to open up and then wait for the tanker to move away.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

Incidence like this are the reasons for some enactments. I'm expecting legislation in respect of precautionary measures against similar incidents.

Why are these containers merely mounted without actually fastening them on the trucks?

Who are you expecting the legislation from?

Especially those container trucks
They're deadly and it seems no one care to end this nonsense once and for all angry

FRSC is the major cause of these problems.

They keep renewing road worthiness for vehicle and trucks without proper operational inspection.
